Dude this has been a mystery for me for years lol glad someone finally pointed it out. I love this movie however, I noticed that it became somewhat of a curse....
@@shannamckinley9343 well it all started with my mother's late husband and I know this may sound silly however when I first saw this movie I of course enjoyed it but just 1 week later my stepfather was killed in a drunken brawl. Ever since then just by watching this movie I would hear about a celebrity passing away. I mean yeah it could be just a coincidence but I felt this way for a good few years.
@@gregolvrz94 hahaha that is a not really the right way to talk about those actors. As an actor I can tell you that nobody on set would call a background actor or extra a 'mere extra'. Making a film is like a clockwork that has to work perfectly in sync and all of the cast and crew have to be able to give their very best and work on cue together. If one small thing is wrong or not convincing, it has to be done again. It is not so much about who does what as many people think, but more about that everyone takes direction well and is aware of each other and helps to convey the exact purpose of the scene while making it look natural. Actors with leading roles also do quite a lot of background acting work during their filming days. To give an example, in Romeo and Juliette, there are quite a lot of moments where Juliette is watching or observing Romeo while talking about her love for him or talking about him to other characters, while Romeo is on screen at some distance. In those scenes, the actor that plays Romeo is doing the background acting while the actress that plays Juliette is doing her lines and close ups. He has to be in character just like in close ups and if he does not do a natural or convincing acting job, while only having body language to rely on for telling of the story of his character or to co-communicate the purpose of scene, he will ruin that scene, just like when not giving the right type of emotion or body language during any dialogue. Being good at background acting is quite important and plays a big part in making the situations in the movie and the character look convincing. It is not anything to look down on and can be hard to get right. Matt Damon has talked about this often in interviews, saying that the Oscars are way too focused on movies with big emotional moments, and not enough on the movies where the actors have a lot of scenes of 'doing stuff' and making a lot of small moments look completely natural and convincing, while having to get the timings and the body language of their movements just right to fit with the continuity, desired pace, feeling and purpose of the movie, because that can be really difficult to achieve and takes a lot of focus for any actor. Actors that get booked consistently for big movies have to be talented, thorough, dedicated and committed enough to be absolutely reliable at doing this well, such that the director has peace of mind that all of the situations in the film will look believable like it is a real life story for the viewers to watch. It is a big part of what makes the movie and the story line convincing and gripping, and is often the difference between a B-movie and an A-movie
@@gregolvrz94based on your comment that means just because your mom has her mouth full of 🐓 and isn't talking she's not actually a porn actress huh, I mean according to you they gotta have lines to be considered an actor/actress
she hated the teacher so she volunteer to get help only to not tell anyone and let him suffer she turn to see if any one ways looking so she could run the other way
It’s funny though, what you miss when you narrow your focus too much. Because I have seen this movie conservatively 15 times and I would never have noticed this because I have also been too busy looking at Larisa in this scene.
It was either that or they had the student do that to make it seem like they were jealous of the two as it could be perceived I guess as the student looking at them.
have noticed in raiders of the lost ark the extras in the background of the dock scene, i think, they march along, do an about face and march back again. its pretty funny.
Her aim doesn’t really match where the teacher is falling in my humble opinion but the callousness is just so cringing in this. People say I gave my last Fk but won’t have compassion when someone is hurt.
We had very strict rules for archery no one was allowed to shoot while someone was in front of the target that was an automatic failure of the class and possible suspension.
How about how the teacher would have had to been standing in front of the targets facing away from her in order to get shot in thr ass in the first place?
It’s called direction. As in when the assistant director/ background wrangler did not make the instructions or the scene clear to the extras. Yeah, sure. Go ahead and blame the person making $6 an hour.
Extras make more than $6 an hour. As someone who has had to pay them in the past it's much more than that. It's at least minimum wage for the area. And no one blamed her. But sure, go off!
As an archery trainer this scene is one of the hardest to watch for me 😅 there are around 5 safety rules broken and these are the most simple and most importantsafety rules which should always be said and regulated by the teacher/trainer. 🫣 Still an amazing movie tho 🤣
It's the teacher's own damn fault he was in front of the firing line and letting people load their bows
lmao did you watch the movie
Archery safety basics. The other guy wouldn’t have been allowed on the shooting line either. + no arm guard
student(s)?
😂😂😂😂

@Daniel Sevilla Jr no I could see that.things like that have happend to me so I understand, that's why I was wondering what you were saying.
@@shannamckinley9343 I appreciate that. Still it's 1 of my favorite movies of all time. The sound tracks really touched me in a lot of ways.
Actor just thought they were out of the camera shot.
Cute, that was a mere extra...you say actor as if she had any lines
@@gregolvrz94Extras ARE actors as well and actually acting without dialogue/lines showcases ones talent.

No that's exactly how high schoolers would have reacted in the 1990s.
🤣🤣
she hated the teacher so she volunteer to get help only to not tell anyone and let him suffer she turn to see if any one ways looking so she could run the other way
There is absolutely no way in hell that arrow penetrated the gym teacher's ass cheek. It's a cheap recurve bow with practice tipped arrows.
Rule 1: Never knock an arrow if there are people in front of your firing line.
nah. that would be me confused when trying to go get help.. like who do i ask? turning back around just to be like “ uhm?”
No, she never wanted to get help to begin with 😂
I assumed it was because the teacher wasn't much liked by the students
No I would have never taken my eyes off Larisa.

I'll have to watch for that! Thanks for sharing
Lmao rotc cadets doing colums
Or,, and this is a long shot,, they really don't like that teacher or care if they get help...
Maybe she was just poorly conditioned because PE was archery. That’s as far as she could go.
Such a great movie
This is why drama classes always teach you to stay in character
Or just does not give a single crap abt that teacher😭
you’ve gotta have a lot of time on your hands if you notice this

Thats the much the extra was getting paid ok! to worry about if she out of the shot or run faster.

Well it's a student. Oh sir I'm gonna get help. Seconds later f u just kidding
Bro that teacher forgot to get certified- or the basic rules of archery-…
A week later? Reaching for a connection there. And a celebrity dies 1-2 times a week. So no, it’s not a curse.
What’s your school my name of my school is village
Just bad direction from the director.
I like drew and jake and green hair and bacon hair
