Adding the gascap was a wise decision and leaves less of a possibility for failure with the fuel system. Last thing you need is to have to end a track day due to a faulty pressure relief valve. Basically it brings down the possible cost of maintenance.
@@andrewosimowicz3960 had a 2016 ford focus st that was capless. The pressure release valve kept going out and was allowing the system to pull the tank into a vacuum. It was and still is an issue with the majority of the cars that are capless. Those valves are around 100-150 dollars a piece just for the part. That’s not including labor. I’ve both replaced it myself and had a mechanic do it.

I love the FK8, I feel like with the new model they stripped away whatever made the Honda Civic, a Honda Civic. Now it looks like downgraded version of an Accord, without insulting the Accord tho. I want an Fk8 so bad but sometimes I look at the Accord and makes me enter a conflict inside my mind lol
They wanted it to look more like a daily driver. Less aggressive and more subtle. I chose the FK 8 because it looks aggressive. My FK 8 is only for the track. The Fl5 is more passive. It’s like the GTI.

It feels like the new typeR gives less car for the money. Maybe a refresh will happen soon to address the cosmetic needs. I feel a carbon fiber ground effects kit would make it feel more TypeR.
Massive increase in cooling in the fl5 yet still overheats hahahaha... the design where the turbo is etc is garbage in these engines... and regarding performance, well, it's all down to a remap and they are the same again probably, i don't see anything that justifies the price difference between the fk8 and the fl5... i think the fk8 was like 42k euros in spain and fl5 is around 60k....

So my opinion. If you are young (teenager) from 18-28 years old FK8. If you are grown mature men then definitely FL5. Feels better, looks better, more mature. And a lot more pluses…..

That's simply what happens when you have a guy trying to break into being a youtuber and trying to be first. It's simply HIS car that's modified stupid. There's plenty of other laps that show it's not the FL5, just Dream Automotive's horrible decisions.

It's one terrible tuner going on a taxi lap that overheated. Misha doesn't drive these on the limit, he literally can't, as he has next to zero seat time in any of these cars. He drives them at around 8/10ths, well within his limit and the traffic he has to negotiate with. Learn a little bit before investing all your faith into one horribly modified car.
@Vermonstered Again you're wrong, the FL5 lap record setting car is a "Type-R S" and has different gearing, different boost and isn't a car you'll own. Dreams car isn't tuned or horribly modified. Honda claimed the heating issues were fixed but obviously they're not.

Fl5 is faster on a track FK8 has a faster 0-60. If you're prioritizing straight-line speed in a Type R, then you're buying or using a Type R for the wrong reasons.
@eddiepadilla8168 That's not quite true... the FL5 is better on short tracks because of the 265 tyre. However, it's slower around the nurburgring than the Face lift and LE Fk8 so Honda made the "Type-R S" to regain the lap time.
6:30 kinda dumb... They should just let you customize all the modes. I'd just unify the steering across all of them and that's it. No need for another mode.

If you're getting a Type R to drag race, than you're getting a Type R for the wrong reason. There's more bodyroll in the FK8 than the FL5... The FL5 is known for being a rougher ride with its rigid suspension and being lower + wider in all aspects including its tires. I agree the FK8 is more aggressive looking, I just think the FL5 is a return to form to actually looking like an evolution of the Civic (a bit of EK9 and a bit of FD2) instead of a Gundam like the FK2 and wonky FN2 evolution. The Acura Integra Type S would cater with the tacked on fender flares similar to the FK8. All in all, the FL5 is better and the purpose of a Type R is to be ready for circuit racing, not our American fascination with going in a straight line all the time.
I had more credibility from Mr Honda Pro before this video. What a shallow bloke. Other than the hidden hinges on the fk8, everything else, everyone already knows. You mention the fl5 is heavier? No. Because you now own an fl5.

FK8 design is aging poorly looking like some weirdass Hyundai. FL5 the front looks OK, and the rear looks pretty good. Integra type S looks beautiful all around. Wish you could get an FL5 interior with ITS exterior.
Absolutely hate the FL5, Honda had one last shot and missed, too heavy, too big, looks awful and hasn't moved the game on in 5 years, infact you could say they've gone backwards....someone gotta speak the truth...maybe if it was 15k less it might be worth a look.

Cooling isn't fixed.... can't even do one hot lap at the Nurburgring. It reaches 150 degrees celcuis and dies. Fk8 is better 😉
