  • Cutting down a circle driveway. Back at the big slab house and the homeowners want to lower the grade of the circle driveway to save on having to put a retaining wall along the edge of it. I cut the grade down almost 2' to change the angle of the drive. I was able to get a couple of trucks to start hauling off the spoils. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #cuttinggrade

Guess that's the bucket to have on this job! (I'm seeing a Silver ford out front) I really like that circular thing in front of the house! Owners saved on the wall but I hope they had to pay for all your efforts cuz they can't make up their mind. Nice job *BRANDON & CO* !!!

From storm cleanup to back to the old "Change Order" job. I was looking forward to getting a glimpse of the house - it's big, for sure. I can't believe you got that many loads out of there, but you did a nice job of saving that stone - that looked to be a good truckload anyway.

lol yep. It’s a good size area so several loads came out. Your right I had about one truck load of base rock left over.

I will say that I believe the front does look better since you cut it down, but I can't believe you drained their pool in the side yard. Lol.

Wasn’t this the homeowner that couldn’t decide what he wanted on the house and you had to redo different things before he finally kinda was OK with it.any bets he changes his mind on the driveway again.great video.just keep doing your thing.be safe.have you finished up your parents house.😎😎😎👍👍👍

From my experience, when a customer agrees to pay you for doing the same job twice, they couldn't figure out any way under the sky to blame you for it. Plus it shows you are working for the right builder. There's a lot satisfaction just in that. Another positive is you didn't dig down to some unusable layer of clay to use for the base. Silver linings.

I agree it’s what they wanted. They seem like very visual people so they have to see how it’s going to look before they can make a decision. Yes I was glad to still have a nice sub base for driveway.

Those camera angles in cab and out of cab were great. As you were grading out that edge by the house I was seeing the high spots and saying, he’s going to go back over that and that. You did just that. I know cameras don’t show it all that great sometimes but those angles were great. I could also see what you were looking at on driveway about cutting it down some more. Great work on the driveway and video.

Thank you! You’re right the camera has to be in just the right spot to show grades. I lucked out it was this time 🤣

I think I had about 15 hours from start to finish on cutting it down and putting the rock back. I think it was around $4500 with the trucking

Grass seed will take right off in that dirt!….curious to know how much that excavator weighs?….wanted to get one that size, but the prices of used equipment is ridiculous….new is outrageous!….this economy is terrible!….not the right time, right now!….maybe after November!
