@@TheSmugglersRoom I have tried for years to just drill a hole in a wall to hang a frame, end result, at best, is generally half a drill bit off to one side no matter how much time I take to measure and "pre-tap" the pilot hole. I am in total admiration of your skills. You have inspired me to visit hardware stores. Last year, I started making lightsabers out of plumbing parts, my kids love it.
It's crazy how you managed to build all of that in an hour! 😋 Nice compilation video. It was fun seeing all of these individual project videos again and watch you tie them all together.
I really love what you guys do on this channel. I know it's hard to keep positive at times - most times these days - but watching your videos tells me it is possible. I look forward to seeing more from the Pit project as well, that was a really cool concept that I think is interesting and really inventive. You are both really inspirational and I can't thank you enough for existing and creating more than just content here. May the Force be with you!
Thank you so much, this means the world to us. We definitely have projects around The Pit coming soon. We are working on several projects for that as we speak. It’s taken us a little while to get things back on track, but you’ll see new episodes on that soon!
Just sat down and watched this while building the Bandai U-Wing and TIE Striker model set with my son. A few of these builds I hadn’t seen so it was great to get caught up. Awesome stuff as always!
This was truly an epic video, and a big shot to the arm for the channel, I think. I know you can't afford to put stuff like this together all the time, but I really enjoyed it.
Great compilation of the Star Wars Wall Project construction process, not only we can see how much you have advanced but also how creative you are, thanks for sharing, I learn a lot watching your videos for personal projects
Man, I can remember checking out the first version of the room on the RPF years ago. As much as I loved the first iteration, the new version just keeps getting better. :)
Oh I love ❤ your videos so much, I know ive said it so many times but they are so inspirational. Being out of a job right now I have time to start projects, but no money. This room build sets my mind in motion for my upstairs garage room. It's my art room and catch all space but I want a Hero Lair and this is so encouraging. I'll let you know if I start. Keep up the good work inspiring.
Hey, Man! It was good meeting you at CEDIA. Going to use some of your insights for my F16 flight sim. Also watching your content makes me wish I went with my original idea of a Star Wars home theater theme.
I have most every computer and component since 1988. I traded and sold some while building the best gaming rig, 30 years ago. Many cases, boards, cards, drives and more. Lots of neat stuff to use. And many interesting plumbing, HVAC, electrical, automotive, farm equipment and electronic bits.
@@TheSmugglersRoom And watching you gives me new ideas on how to use them. A big thank you for sharing everything you do. Now I just have to save up for a laser cutter to make panels easier and cleaner.
Was that a sneak peek of somebody soon to be ship build lol boss still love your work ,excited to see the miss and junkyard Jedi on there with you hammer out a new project together, build on man
Nice refreshers on the wall build.....you even had a visit from R2 in there....but did the smart gonk droid get jealous of no screen time this vid? 😊 Keep up the great content Brian!
Does the alcohol help paint adhere better to the plastic? Might try that on my rain barrels. No matter how much sanding/priming I do it doesn't want to stay. 😅
It’s does, but honestly some plastics just won’t accept paint. The type and treatment of the plastic can be so wildly different from product to product unfortunately
Great inspirational video. But im stuck on my room build. Any advice would be helpful. Maybe we could talk about it soon. Let me know how to contact you about this block I'm having. Thanks again for the awesome video.
It sort of depends. In this larger wall section we attached runners to the studs in the wall and then the new wall pieces to those runners. In other situations the French cleat approach works great. So it sort of depends and I approach each with whatever works best for that situation.
It was a one time buy on ebay. The seller had pulled them off an old factory machine. Ebay has that sort of stuff all the time, you just have to keep searching.
"One man's junk is another man's greeblies" is such an awesome statement that really sums up the maker movement in general!
right? Totally agreed!
I find it incredible how perfectly parallel and perpendicular all your lines look, and your circled cut-outs seem so well centred.
Thank you!!! It takes time, but totally worth it!

Absolutely LOVE this video and pulling the other items on to make a larger, cohesive build. Thank you!!
Glad you like it! Thank you!
Oh wow, almost an hour long! Making coffee and breakfast and settling in to watch. Super stoked to see this one!
Thank you. We were asked if we could put a video together of building our full wall and here it is!
Such amazing work that combines tech, art and engineering.
Thank you so much!

brilliant, did not realise it was almost an hour until I started to watch. Loved every second. Thanks Brian x

It's amazing to see how far this build has come, especially for the fact that you ended up starting it completely over.
Thank you! Yeah, it was a tough pill to swallow but sometimes you have to. LOL

Wait a second, that eye candy inside Fusion 360 only lasted a few seconds. Any chance you could make a video just on that?
LOL . . . coming soon, trust me ;)
Did I miss the shopping list for all the stuff that was used ? Also didn't see a link for the programming academy for dummies like ME! Thanks
Hey there! So sorry, yes I neglected to get that into the description, i'll do my best to get that in there.
Impressive doesn't begin to due justice to this build! How big is this space?
Thank you! It is not a super large room. roughly 900 square feet.
I’m liking this before I even watch it. Almost an hour 👍🏼👌🏻❤️💪🏼🦾
