    1. Reading: Skim only, don't try to read whole passage in detail because of time crunch
    2. Recheck answer choices if you have time
    3. Listening: Jot only important detail, develop and practice note taking using simple abbreviations and symbols
    4. Speaking: Use your clean and tailored cohesive templates
    5. Have intonation/emphasis/delivery on words
    6. Writing: Use your clean and tailored cohesive templates. Practice, reiterate.

    I just wanted to say thank you for the advice. For me, the most helpful piece of advice was note taking and the website where you could practice the speaking questions. It helped and I got 116/120.

    Thank you very much! I am really grateful for your videos; I scored 103/120 (R 27, L 27, S 23, W 26)! My tips would be just to make sure that you know and understand the whole process of testing system, you also need to be very flexible and carefully complete all the 4 parts of TOEFL. More importantly, please practice pre-test as much as possible.

    Yes, she learn for the test for two weeks. BUT learn the vocabulary and grammars and idioms, and whole word in dictionary such as disambiguation, discombobulation, fuddle, schyte, or remittance in few years. So don't get tricked. You can skim only if you have proper vocabulary learned and rembered. Overall, learn easier word to climb the ladder of understanding in the same time as learning grammar for structure recognition and achieve correct meaning of the word.

    Hi, thanks a bunch.
    I speak slowly and calmly. The thing is, I also talk slowly in my native language and I have brought this habit to English. One suggestion that I have followed was improving my intonation, which I have had quite a bit of improvements. As an example, I try to use abbreviations such as hafta instead of have to and so on; however, I still need to talk faster. Speaking in details, on average, I say 80 words for task 1 and 105 for other tasks. When I start to speak faster, I lose my concentration and forget about the structure of the question. I'd really appreciate it if you suggestions about my situation in your next video. Thank you.

    • @richardhart3751
      @richardhart3751 2 роки тому

      @@ticketforlife2103 Well, I couldn't agree more. Not just in the speed of speech, but in life in general, I think that this world, perhaps in the U. S. more than many other countries, there is this terrible obsession with speed, speed, speed. Who cares if it is done right, as long as it looks good and your boss approves, get it done yesterday.
      Completely lame. As a (former) computer professional, I have seen so much junky stuff that was just thrown together and barely works. Donnerwetter!
      So my advice to Fateme is, be yourself no matter what. You'll be happier in the long run!

    Before opting for the TOEFL Home Edition, be aware that I experienced a nearly 2-hour delay due to technical issues on their end, which impaired my performance and I ended up losing my money. Post-test support was inefficient, and after expressing my dissatisfaction, the final response was that they would no longer respond to my messages. Be careful when choosing this option!

    The only useful advice aside from studying English is to prepare for the test, know the format of the questions and practice the speaking part so you dont get cut middle sentence, its better to have time left than to leave the answer incomplete.

    I watched a few youtube videos to help with the writing section. I ended up with a score of 100/120 and was dissappointed. A score of 23 in the writing section was particularly disastrous, so please dont do my mistake and study with emphasis on writing.

    Thank you for your tips, especially listening section! I realized that I was focusing on writing, not listening. I kept making wrong answers and didn't know why, and now I know that was because I tried to perfectly complete my notetaking. Thanks to you, I left my pressure on listening behind.
