I do agree on the "wider dispersion" in the Mid that we can feel with the Pioneer... But on the other way we can see in your video John, that the RCF 7 serie cabinet architecture shows a more narrow construction in envoloping the tweeter, so it is quite normal that the sound of the RCF doesn't give a wider sounding image... That is why I believe that the RCF gets a better throw than the Pioneer... I also have the impression that the RCF gats a more balanced sound, and that could be a good point for us as DJs...
I really would like to hear both speakers in a real dancefloor situation , and listening to them from deep in the middle of the dancefloor with people dancing on the surface around the mic...

Highs on RCF Sounded better but the bass and mid sounded way better on the pioneer. Thanks for The awesome speaker testing guys it makes my shopping a lot easier.

Both Italian made , RCF gives you everything for a much cheaper price. RCF all the way.

I agree with you John they sound very similar. The pioneer did have richer more deep bass.

I think the Bass was way more defined through the RCF with a very smooth HF driver. The pioneer sounded more open and pretty in the high end and the bass did seem to hit harder but I don't really look at that as a positive.

If you ask me,i would took the cabinet and woofer from pioneer and high frequency driver from rcf

RCF is a good speaker if you are starting out. Good clean sound. Pioneer is great. If you are starting out and budget is an issue....get the RCF.

Ive owed a pair xprs12 & a 215 sup for a year.
Pioneer xprs is only good for electronic music. It's sounds big like you are in EDM music festival.
BUT Its really big and heavy + Can't find speaker cover to fit (only custom made)
One of my xprs 12 broken 6 months ago so it's not really good for liability.
This is what i found inside 12" 200w 4ohms + 300w powersolf amplifier, so what ever leftover It can not make 2400w peak ! JUST DON'T!

Yes it will work just fine (forgot to mention) but its give different kind of booming may be because of band pass subwoofer.
Only way to find out if it work for you, you have to go listen to it. Good luck
