This is the OST to Dragon Spirit: The New Legend for the NES! But in my own form of Stereo! Which spreads the sound channels and adds a bit of echo/reverb. These mixes also do not represent true, original, or actual stereo that the NES has, this is just to make the music sound more clear and crisp, and is another way of listening to the greatness of 8Bit music. So enjoy this soundtrack in what I like to call, WiiGuy's 8Bit Stereo!! :D

This is hands down my favorite NES soundtrack
This is one of my favorite games. Glacier land is my favorite stage because of the music.
This is the best version of the Dragon Spirit soundtrack. Beautifully done. I still have this game in my collection; had it since 1990 my favorite stage is Deep Sea.
Me too! red cartridge :]
This game have one of the best soundtracks
indeed it does sir.......
It is originally composed by Shinji Hosoe a.k.a Sampling Masters MEGA
you should check out the original game's soundtrack
As someone who has played this at the arcade, I can 100% assure you that your comment is correct.
One of my first NES game. And Cave Road is the finest tune here.
i been trying to do an arrangement of that track on guitar
Agreed.
Cuántos recuerdos me trae vídeo juego, las horas que le dedicaba al juego, amaba la música que tenía eso te animaba más y las evoluciones que tenía el dragón y las pantallas,y las princesas que ibas liberando a medida que pasabas los niveles... Cuanta nostalgia 😍
4:16 I may just prefer this rendition over the original arcade version. Very moving tune.
I remember faintly seeing this cart back in the late 80's and watching someone play it. Wow.... I am old XD
u old
I love this shmup, has one of the best songs. For some reason the 8-bit Famicom/NES sound more epic than the arcade and PC Engine versions.
I love the Volcano theme, and the boss theme is very memorable too. I love those harmonic melodies!
Such an underrated fun game with awesome soundtrack
Glacier Land (Area 6) stood out to me.
Yess it did ;3
electricmastro To me too! Never forgot it!
this was one of the games i grew up with when i was just a little boy. i definitely can't wait to have this one in my armada of your OSTs.
This brings a tear to my eye. I would play this over so many times because i was in love with the hot anime princess's.
Yes, thats why 17:00 is the best song, and I always felt like my time with her was cut way too short. :3
I was in love with my dragon self.
I was in love with my first and third heads, but not the 2nd one
@@OilSlickSandwich Ghidorra had that problem too, they tend to get tied in knots when your pissed off
I've been waiting for this one for a long time. Thanks for uploading.
I do get around (to requests) ;3
I just found out about this! Thanks for posting this! Such a good one.
Oh God I remember owning this game as a kid. Found it a couple years ago and I have it
I loved the music to this, but the intro song best song ever
I get goosebumps hearing that intro music. This is one of the few 8-bit games where I would argue the soundtrack on the console version is superior to the arcade version.
NES, Star Wars, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Run DMC, Ninja Turtles, and yes, Beverly Hills Cop (when parents weren't watching).
Oh, forgot about riding bikes.
What a fun time to be a kid.
Love this game so much. Deserves a remake, fo' rizzle.
I wonder if Namco still owns the rights to this.
+WiiGuy's 8BitStereo They do. They reprise the Area-1 song on Taiko Drum Master, etc. quite a bit.
The closest thing I could think of is Panzer Dragoon, but heck, even that could use a revival at this point.
Bandai Namco still owns the rights.
The level 1 theme is also in Smash Brothers Ultimate for the Switch.
I loved the music of this game so muuch that I used the soundtrack code to just enjoy the music, many other games has a similar code like nija gaiden 1,2 super contra and dragon spirit has the pecularity to physically push the reset button to perform the code
My grimgram bought this for me when I was a kid. I think it was one of those cheapo bargain games but I loved it. It came with a built-in trainer mode for kids to start.
Found an arcade cabinet of it in Japan. Nostalgiagasm
Such nostalgia 💖✨
I was so young playing this game on Nintendo back in 1993 that I could not understand why some of the fairies were just silhouettes, because I couldn't read, plus the writing was in Japanese. Those were the best days
one of the most memorable and melodic soundtracks on the famicom
While I can't make any comparisons to the arcade game, the NES rendition of Dragon Spirit stands up well on its own, Namco deserves much recognition for doing something a little different, and making a decent 8-bit conversion of it too. it's refreshing to play a shooter game not based on spaceships and alien invasions. The idea of a dragon having its head split from one to two to three might not be enough to make this experience truly unique,
I like the opening and the jungle
love this game, sorry i'm a day late to thank you!!!!
Aw man... so good
11:53 Dark Quarters for me... I knew in game, when that track came on, shit was getting real.
Could never beat the game, but I loved the music so much!
Those grow-ey thicket snake things, though.
I used to love this game! I remember the playing through the story with the Gold dragon not realizing it was basically easy mode...until I discovered the Blue dragon mode. That's when the REAL game starts!
Nah, blue dragon mode is still easy af. Try playing the original Dragon Spirit game. It's on the switch and I think PS4/5. THAT is the real game, both literally and in terms of difficulty - its fn HARD. IG it was meant to be, it was designed to deprive you of your quarters in the arcades lol. Still, a ton of fun now that you don't have to pay per round.
Volcano, Glacier, and sub final boss theme were the takers for me on this games OST...been waiting for a remake or re-release on the switch
Soooo goood
I love this game!
I miss this one in my childhood :(
Orlando Durán same here
YES! I fucking love this game. Jungle/Graveyard/Glacier/Dark Castle for life!
The Paleozoic Era!!!!!
I like these versions of Jungle and Deep Sea better than the originals. Cave Road sounds most similar between the two. Glacier Land and the first part of Dark Castle, gotta go with the originals. The rest are toss ups, both versions sound pretty good considering.
The arcade version heavily relied on fm drums the same way triangles drums are made on nes, I wish this version had some triangle drums thrown in would of been perfect. But still the delay tricks were handle pretty well on this soundtrack.
This will forever be one of my favorite games. This version specifically. I tried playing the updated version included in Namco Museum and it just felt so wrong to me. ^^; And I spent SO much time in the sound test.
you mean the arcade version?
That version came before the NES version.
fuck yeah! I've been waiting for this one for so long.
After hearing the arcade version, I prefer the NES rendition of the Volcano theme better. It sounds like it could be reorchestrated and used in a game like Soul Calibur.
Really, the composer of Jumpin' kid did this? The music seems more happy than in Jumpin' kid
It's like you read my mind! I just did a search for this one last week under "Wiiguy309" and found nothing - and was profoundly sad. Now I can't remember if I actually wrote in a request for this one or if I was just planning on it. I think the latter. Anyway, I was forced to listen to other substandard tracks by someone else who basically did a straight rip in mono, and I thought, "Man, this would be great in stereo (or split track; whatevs)." And now here it is! Thanks, man, my work day will be almost 25 minutes easier (longer if I just keep replaying)!
i just play this game on my pc, using launchbox.
I like the musics. :)
This needs a 2020 remake!
Area 5 is easily the best song here
The sword tho
This game make me cry...
Yeah mr Maekawa's compositions make everyone cry
@@bartek8309 I too, that great composer must be sentimental when composing music, that's why I liked it so much
One of my favorite game to play and I speedrun this game. My favorite OSTs are Stage 5 (also my favorite stage), the boss battle and the three headed dragon fight theme.....I think Stage 6 as well. Thanks for putting those musics on here since I couldn't hear well (yes, I'm deaf) the melodies from the game (well...thru TV) but just all bass. So now, I can hear how the melody goes. TY.
Sounds almost as good as the Turbografx edition.
One can be just as good as the other, I certainly love the sound here :)
0:36 Its the Goonies theme!
ua-cam.com/video/V1_jo8qKvuA/v-deo.html
when you die in the prologue you become a gold dragon
is there a change in the ending?
Yes there is.
It was all just a dream
i need the song from level 1 in a 3ml format
3ml?
You forgot to put time stamp on the track list.
I didn't forget, I just didn't choose to put in the time stamps when editing the songs in the description, of all things I do in 8BS, putting in the time stamps on videos is the part I slack on the most, I usually get around to it XP
Imagine Metallica doing this sound track
Why does everyone say Namco made this? I literally says Bandai on the cover!
Knight41b original for pc was namco
sob sob sob
This game is pretty epic on it's own way.
Plus the fact that it has a pussy test, if you fail at it you'll get super powered dragon that makes things easy. Plus, it gives you a bad game over. XDDD
GODDAMMIT THIS ISN'T DRAGON WARS WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT SOUNDTRACK
