There is a part of the map that kind of reaches out farther into the void. It is at the bottom of the crash zone near the crag field, you can see it in the online maps. Could have saved you a few base pieces. I know it’s useless now but just saying 😂
You can get through the barrier of 8192 using cyclops. I don't remember exactly how I did it but I know that you can slightly pass the 8192 barrier. And when you get off the steering wheel, you are like paralyzed because of your position in space. Also when you are near the edge of the world by all the 3 axes, welder in your hands starts shaking
Could the shaky mask and hands be the result of a global positioning system? Apparently in older games like Halo CE the player model and items will start shaking the further the player is from the center of the map.
@@AnonEMus-cp2mn this is due to "floating point precision". your computer has to start dropping number accuracy to track your current position, and that threshold depends on how large the number system used for that is.

i dont understand bacon hes the most incredible hardworking subnautica youtubers who works so hard to make good content and it is amazing good job bacon
The "confusion zone" is actually just the biome map not being endless. The biome map loops back over again, so basically its like teleporting you to the opposite side of the void, except not actually.
When you go beyond 8192 depth (same is true if you fly vertically up beyond 8192, or 8192 m towards East, West, North, or South in a straight line from the center of the map), you get teleported back to coordinate 0,0,0 on the map, which is basically in the shallows. The reason is simple: Imagine the entire map is a huge cube with six faces, and each face (a face is basically a square) is of length 16384 and width 16384 (16384 is twice 8192). 0,0,0 is the coordinate that represents the exact center of the cube, and this is where you always get teleported back to. This is basically engine limitation I suppose, so the game resorts to teleporting you back rather than crashing! Take for example the square which represents the water surface (basically eliminating the z axis), so when you stand at point 0,0 (exact center), moving East, West, North, or South, the distance is exactly 8192 as stated above, but if you want to move towards the North East, North West, South East, or South West, you exceed 11585 (refer to the formula for calculating hypotenuse), and the distance keeps hovering between 8192 and 11585 based on the angle (from 0 to 360) of the straight line you choose to take from the center. Lucky for you, the game only enables structures to be constructed at 90-degree angle, so you always expand vertically, or towards East, West, North, or South, and no other angles could be constructed, unless it is a hatch from a Multipurpose room!

Do the fly glitch with the propulsion cannon while on the base and see what happens XD.
Lol don’t think it would do much :)
My baby bacon boy, you do not have to put yourself through this torture to entertain us, you do enough great work as it is.
Thank you kindly :) But I was also just really curious about trying this.
this guy is one of the people for carries the subnautica community
I do a lot! :)
I'm so ready for Subnautica 3 or Return of the Ancients, whatever comes out first. I want to have a new feeling of playing Subnautica again.
Same!! :)
2:25 That's a neat command.
It is indeed :)
I love how you try to reply to every comment, And that is pure dedication
Thank you kindly :)
i dont understand bacon hes the most incredible hardworking subnautica youtubers who works so hard to make good content and it is amazing good job bacon
Thank you very kindly :)
The "confusion zone" is actually just the biome map not being endless. The biome map loops back over again, so basically its like teleporting you to the opposite side of the void, except not actually.
That makes sense :)
Another amazing video
Thank you kindly :)
THAT FAST WALK IN CORRIDOR GAVE ME A WEIRD OPTICAL ILLUSION WHEN I LOOKED AWAY HAHAHA
Lol nice :)
This is me in every creative world
Lol nice :)
Amazing video keep up the good work and a question how do u open the chat?
Thank you kindly :) And it's alt + enter on PC.
@@TheLastBacon thx for letting me know:)
I love seeing subnautica vids still being posted
Thank you ;)
You make me feel inadequate to play subnautica. Holy hellllllll
Haha you shouldn’t :)
I don't have epilepsy of any kind but that sped up running was real hard on my eyes
Yeah running through there was unpleasant :)
Now you need to do this but from one end of the void to the other
Haha sounds challenging :)
Now this is quality content!
Haha glad you think so :)
"another questionable video" this is just your slogan at this point, you never dissapoint.
You’re not wrong haha :)
Im very tired right now so its a simple one today. CRISPY!!
Still very much appreciated :)
1:36 It's a very nice location, I have to say.
Right? :D
bro, u gotta build a base all the way to the far lands 🔥
Heck yeah :D
@@TheLastBacon :D if u do, pls consider a shoutout 💙🔥
The one thing I love about Subnautica is that there's no need for a foundation for your base
True! :)
Random Person: I wonder if we can do *insane thing*!
Bacon: LETS TRY IT *IMMEDIATELY*
Basically hahaha :D
Respect that you respond to every comment! I like the Stanley Parable OST as background, it fits well. (Amazing game too btw.)
Thank you :) And totally agree!
Good explanation :) Though there are other base pieces that can be built on any angle as long as they’re the first piece.
Legit.. if there’s not a character called Bacon in subnautica 3 I won’t be happy, keep it up bro 👏😎
Haha I hope there is a poster at least :)
Oh no this is another example of pure insanity
I love it
Haha thank you! :)
