What pollinates burgundy plum?
My burgundy comes out with most of my pluots. It's an earlier flowering plum. And is said to be self fertile. The bees seem to love it.
Do you prune out the central leader?
No, I'm one of the people that cuts it out to promote low branching

I cut it to about thigh high somewhere in between my knee and waist. Just depending on where I see a good area to cut
