Speaking of Consume last Dave.. you made Shannon go back and restart the story when she had already mentioned being in the car on the phone at the wrong store!! You missed it!!
I'm definitely the person who won't talk. I just never notice that I should say things. I think things but it never crosses my mind that it could be necessary to tell other people these things. No idea what others deem as important to know. They also don't know what I know so they can't ask the right questions.
@@TheNicMMc I would say, try to pacify their anxiety by letting them know that whatever research they have consumed can be helpful. Encourage them to share the information they have collected as a small step for the project to move forward. If information is missing due to lack of communication then let them know you are unclear about the situation and could they fill in the gaps for you. Asking pertinent questions can help draw out the data that normally wouldn't be surrendered voluntarily. These are some of my thoughts. I hope this helps.
That Home Depot story really brings back some personal memories...looking up a bus route to take to a movie but arriving half an hour late because I didn't think to memorize WHICH ACTUAL BUS it was and there were like four that stopped at the same place, missing my friend's entire graduation party because I only looked up the street address and not where it was in relation to anything else...I wouldn't say this stuff happens a lot, but it's gotta be more than most people.
I'm blast last so every time I'm excited to share valuble information I always fail bc my communications skills are so messy. I would give a ton of analogies and personal stories that doesn't make senses for a lot people... so I end up looking kinda crazy lol
Omg I relate to Shannon so much. 😂Blast last is a bitch!! No one knows what I’m talking about half the time. I also have masculine Te so I’m desperate for people to understand me but every time I talk I feel like I’m pulling teeth
@Que sera sera, my wife does the same, but my Ni fills in the blanks, but I know others may not get her if they dont know her very well. I always remind her - context. She's the type of person that will be on her phone and talk to me as if I'm seeing what she's seeing. Then she's like "Oh, ya, hahaha". I'm like ;)
ENFP: I hate explaining the sensory, especially if I’ve already done it. I often think I’m explaining something by saying the minimum needed and then doing the whole “ok now you can work out the rest” and it’s infuriating having to go through things and explain the implications & nuance when they seem so obvious to me. It’s difficult being a law student sometimes because you’re both expected to explain everything and be super concise. Sometimes I’ll get marks back and they’ll be like “you’ve told us everything but you haven’t linked it together & then there are times where I explain EVERYTHING and my feedback will be it’s too thorough. It’s hard for me to know what will be “obvious” to someone else, and what’s obvious to me. Moved into a shared flat last year, I posted in the chat that there was 8 of us and only 15 kitchen cupboards so one of us would have to only have one, the ESFP replied “yeah obviously”
Totally relate, I think I'm CSP/B Ne/Fi. I don't know how to appraise those two either, the obvious to someone else and the obvious to me. My brain likes to make leaps for a reason, because it's a lot more efficient than having to go over every goddamn detail. Sometimes that's required, but why put in the energy to do that first when it's not always necessary? And yeah, on the things I try to be detailed about because it seems justified, I end up writing an entire goddamn essay where someone else would have only needed a paragraph to say the same thing even better than I did.
im play last but can relate as a fellow ne/fi person. my dad is an intp, and we both have this issue of explaining things in a way that make sense in our heads with our ne, but then dont check out to everyone else in sensory.
From what you are saying, You dont seem like and ENFP, unless your Fe is demon, as you don't seem to be able to pic up on what others know. Maybe you are an ISTP, (with lead Se or Ti) as its seems your observations of the outside world are quite keen, and would explain your inability to read the room. I'm think I'm an ISTP, but sometimes test as an ENFP, so I think that maybe I am a very developed ISTP that has strengthen my Fe and Ni, as when I was a younger, I was all Se and Ti, not I'm more Ti and Ni, but my Fe working with Ni helps me understand people (in conversation) quickly. Maybe try listening more carefully to others and you Ni will help you put together others perspectives. Moreover, your Ti must be dominating, and that's why you have trouble seeing that others aren't as observant as you. Hope that helps, I'm blasting, take it or leave it.
This is literally me and my younger sister. I am Ni/Te BS/C(P) and she is Fe/Ne PC/S(B) so our animals are literally the opposite. I will ask her a simple question and she won't answer the question, she won't give any details or she'll answer a question I didn't even freaking ask. I ask how and she'll tell my why 🤦 And so I have to hammer away for 20 minutes just to know the answer to a stupid freaking question I asked and by that time it's not even worth it. But play last sucks because I don't do anything anyone else does... Ever... I just can't bring myself to get TikTok or IG or Snap... It has no appeal but (here's the kicker) I don't have the means to find a new roommate for college because I have NO social media...
I am blast last and my mother is blast first and that's same situation in reverse like the other day I asked her a question how much work is it LEFT to do and she started to explain what she has already DONE, but I didn't ask it. It's like blind one with deaf one...
I'm like that when telling a story, I forget so many details and people look at me and go "What happened?" I just skip the details without even realizing it.
As a consume first (blast or play last) I can't even process not checking your facts before picking up a delivery. If I have to do a thing, I am checking my facts 10 times over because if I don't I'm going to have to talk to people or redo it and that is just... No. If I don't know what I'm getting into before I get into it, I'm going to live without that door for the rest of my life, they can keep it
So what does take to get you to use sleep in order for the rest of us to sleep? I asking because my cousin is sleep last and the legit reason why I don't like going on vacation with her. She's sweet but she really bad listening to her internal voice and always ends up burning herself out and blames someone for it.
Also, my brother I think is Blast last. It takes so much effort to get anything out of him. Now, when he invites me to his place for Christmas, I just show up when I want. He said, "I didn't expect here so soon." And I say, "Well then tell me what time you want me here." Lol
Oh gosh, I was wondering if I was really blast last, but I am totally like this where as I try to tell a story, I inadvertently leave information out and I'm even inclined just not even to try.
It's interesting how Shannon uses N&T for blast and then expects others to string her lack of blast story back together, for what you have to use those exact 2 functions.
With Blast last, putting in the details always ends up feeling extremely cringy. I either leave them out or force myself to include them... in the most pedantic way possible. I can't find a comfortable balance. People are either left thinking "I don't get it, what?" or "Yeah, duh. I'm not a 5 year old." I just can't guess right about what's the appropriate amount of information needed. I've worked on including information, but then it ends up in unnecessarily long explanations... like this comment.

Isn't it risky to jump in without knowing all the facts in some cases? Like say I want to go hiking in the woods, it's good to know if I'm in bear country, and if so what to do if I see a bear. If I want to teach people about quantum physics, but I know nothing about quantum physics, am I really a good person to teach people? Meanwhile someone who must be a plethora of knowledge on a subject before they're going to share it, well there's a lot to learn from them if they can manage to convey their thoughts! As consume first, I live in a world of devouring information for the self, and maybe once I've read the whole book and processed it with my sleep, I can start sharing with people what I read and learned, how much I liked it and the big picture meaning. I've been told by peers in my graduating college class what they've noticed about me and some of the more introverted people, that we don't speak up often, but when we do they really try to listen to us because of how insightful our contributions often are. You may also be someone to prioritize working smarter not harder because that energy expenditure is lower in your stack. When I'm not living up to my standards, I think there must be a better way to do this, rather than maybe I just have to work longer/harder.

Perfect 😂
I thought bill was masculine TI since he tends to argue with coworkers.
