2:08 I feel obligated to point out that that red dot sight is mounted waaaay too far back to be used properly.
What? Looks like its right over the magazine well. You can see it just fine. Some of this will depend on what is comfortable for the user, but that doesn't see at all egregious to me.
@@demonicspire1345 You're supposed shoot red dots with both eyes open; collimating the image from your dominant and non-dominant eye, you should see a 'dot floating in space', that's much easier to accomplish when your dot is as far forward on the receiver as possible.
That's why cantilever mounts for them are so popular, and why mounting dots to AK handguards is a thing.
@@MasahikoKohineko I own red dots and shoot with them. I have a red dot on an ar-15 in about the same position and I have no trouble using it to shoot tight groups.
Seems like an absolutely standard location to me. The perspective and not being able to see the rear of the receiver is probably throwing you off. It's actually around 3" (7.6 cm) from where the stock attaches.
@@demonicspire1345 That's why I used "supposed to" and "much easier to"; mounting it further back is not necessarily wrong, it's just that it's not as optimal for the intended use case.
Also, I do recommend you try mounting your dot further forward on the receiver and see how it works for you, I personally find it much easier to use them that way.
