VERY CLEAN PROFESSIONAL TUTORIAL. Straight to the point. Other persons should learn from this clean presentation. No personal stories no barking dogs and non sense chat while presenting! wonderful tips too!
I've been using AE on a very regular basis for over 12 years now and most of these tips were new to me! Once we are set in our ways we often don't look for better solutions. CMD/ALT/W to close all my multiple comps will save me so much time going forward!
I'm a highschool student engaged in several projects that I can do videos for. These hacks (and pretty much all your vids) are _really_ useful not only for getting an A+ in my Multimedia class, but also for impressing people in English and Bio classes. You're frikin' godsent!
Wow! You just made my day! Thank you, I'm Seouless! Feel free to join our facebook mentoring group, here is a link to it: facebook.com/groups/ukramedia/
Love everything in this tutorial. Nice tricks, short and to the point, loaded with shortcuts if you listen. Like it should be. No warbling that just eats up time. Thank you!
Some youtubers do that on purpose to earn more view hours,,,,,it gets that videos rating or "time spent on" rating higher. They will drag and talk unneeded stuff and show an entire project how they used it etc too drag the duration out.
I love this so much. I am going to do this!! I learned this in foundations of art and design in film school, and I would love to get back into creating after having a depression and not able to create. I love creating and all I want to do is do these things for the rest of my life.
Go for it, Jacqueline! Let me know if you need any help. You should join our free online community where we have a lot of super talented & kind people that would love to help and motivate you as you walk out this creative journey. Here is a link to it: ukramedia.com/community. See you there!
You helped me so much with the align tip! I had to align 90 elements and I started doing it by hand. I'm so happy i saw this clip before the 10th element. Whew!
Few additional pointers: 4: You can replace content by selecting the layer and holding Alt and just drag the new content on the composition window and the selected layer will be replaced - no Ctrl is needed. 5 and 13: I usually use a pre-created color collection (like from Kuler or customers visual guideline's color palette) and scale it down in a corner and make it a guide layer - no extra color windows/steps needed - just the color picker tool. 9: RedGiant's Universe plug-in offers a multicolored gradient effect which is free and far more user friendly then the layer styles. 14: While using the pen tool and when you hold Alt you can change the out-going bezier's direction without affecting the in-going path - this is also VERY helpful in rotoscoping. 17: Copy pasting content from one Adobe software to another works in almost every software - you can also copy paste a pre-cut clip/scene from Premiere to AE's timeline which means less time spent in rendering. 19: You don't have to drag'n'drop comps into Media Encoder - while having the comp selected go to top menu's Composition -> Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue (right on top of the Add to Render Queue) and it opens the Media Encoder if you don't have it open already.
Thanks for these. I didn't know a few of these. I already use some and had forgotten about others. Very useful. Thanks for taking the time to make these. :)
The color picker trick is good. The way i do is by creating a comp and keep number of solids with palette colors and the moment i need them i just enable the comp layer and by using the color picker i select the color. It makes it easier and faster too
Thank you so much for making this! Best Ae tricks video I've been able to find so far and the breakdown in the description is super helpful. I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos in the future :)
