Great video.. I will, however, add that when you are in the Acc/Rej menu, you can set discrimination patterns easily with fewer button presses.. Whenever you push the reject or accept button down on a target ID at the beginning of a range you'd like to notch out, just continue to hold the button down and hit the +/- button to apply the A/R automatically as you scroll through the range. Thanks, and keep your coil to the soil and your digger in the dirt
I have been hunting in 15 kHz on the 900 for about 3 months from a Chanel i found will post her Chanel have forgotten the name but have found lots of gold jewelry now without notching out anything pull tabs near the surface do ring up very clear but far and few digs on them
Nice. I would like to see a similar vid for the FE. It's supposed to be able to knock out small iron but I can't see any difference. If you did an air test with a square nail or small bit of iron using a low FE vs. a high FE....I'de love to see/hear it work. Some people say FE will lose small rings if set too high....again, I'm surprised there aren't more vids out there about FE since it seems like a valuable setting if used right. Thanks!
I have not notched anything out in a long time except Iron on my 700 But always good to know that you can on the fly as yes there is a lot of unwanted targets.. Thanks for Sharing . Peace
I would do that with my Nox 600 when I couldn’t bare digging up the same old trash a particular spot. I normally keep it in all metals and sometimes in the non ferrous mode. Now that I have the Nox 700, I will experiment with it, since it’s got more VDI segments. Great tips for those who are trying to get familiar with the Equinox models. _/ 👍🏻 (If you saved the trash you just notched out, you can scan back over it or swing it across your coil and add it back in, by pressing the + when it’s VDI number is on the screen.)
Thanks for watching. I think notching them back in (for me) has been difficult because I don't see the number after I notch them out. I'll have to double check that to be sure.
@@MentalMetalYeah, you have to manually move the tic mark to the number that was notched out, to add it back in, with the plus/minus button while in the settings mode.
So ya could even add same program to 900 when ya think about it outa 50 rings tested have 7 types covered just in case a ring is in area when coin shooting so could class program as a mirror image of all metal but still in notch form for hunting .
Yer heaps cracked up about xterra as well stabilised with advanced settings more to nox than meets the eye on the xterra program I knocked out 8.. 9 but notch under load it comes in ie a ring but program is set for coins. So good thing is hunt for coins ect but if a ring is in sweep path boom ya have it but that is on single frequency not multi.
This is for xterra pro users unit is dead silent even in doors not a click vdi rock solid have not tried on 800 yet in advance xterra is one of a kind here is program on 900 but one will have to do extra in target tone advanced.
Ps now I have this unit in side TV lights on not a noise coil is on lounge it is full of springs not a noise put a coin or ring near coil howls it's tits off work that out.
discriminate nothing. i live in california. i dug a can. and inside the can was a tiny piece of gold. (.03g) the trash can be over something worth while
In all the time I have owned the 900, how did I not know this. I have numerous sites where this will come in handy. Awesome tip!
Thank you sir! As you can tell I'm a little late on the comments.

Great tip! I did figure that out later and you are 100% correct. It is a lot more efficient and less button presses. Thank you!
Good info. Didn't know I could push the button while scanning the target. Thanks!
My pleasure!

Nice thanks for the suggestion.

Fort Bedford has them mine should be here today.
Wow Awesome info as always. Thanks
Have you done a comparison between the 900 and the Manticore VDI numbers. Are they the same on like targets?
Thanks, they are pretty close.
Thanks this will be really handy.
You are welcome.

If you knock out the pull tab will it hit a different signal underneath it as i will try and test that the next few days
Superb hack , cheers matey
Cheers my friend.

Keep watching maybe this weekend ;-) its done and currently viewable to my Patreon and UA-cam members. I will def release it once they are done.
Not sure , but didn't the 800 have this also ?
Thanks
Yes it did
Nice job as usual.... Love my Nox 900! Your card placement needs to be a little longer at the end of your video : )
Thanks!

Which do you like more manticore or 900
Manticore but I do like the 900 as well.
What about advanced settings to notch.
