That moment at 28:30 was so cute I keep on replaying it. I love how Marisha reacted to what Matt said, and how Matt reacted afterwards. I love 'em both to bits

I would LOVE, absolutely LOVE, to attend a seminar or series of collage style classes by Matthew Mercer on DM-ing, building a world and campaign and DnD in general. Maybe with some input from Mat Colville.
At about minute 54 I MUST point out (Low budget though it is...) "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising" It's THE best D&D movie I've seen so far, and it has that back and forth that's referenced between in and out of game. It's a multilayered story that's just a fun watch.
Awesome panel with some really good audience questions. Now that the Vox Machina campaign is over, a dam of secret in-game information is slowly breaking. Can't wait for that final wrap-up session...
He started going to the gym more regularly last year; he's been working out more recently. Sam shared a pic on his twitter showing Travis dead-lifting major weights, Matt doing regular arm-lifts, and Sam lifting a kiddie weight... it was funny.
It's so funny they talked about a familiar that reappears and never dies here and in Campaign 2 now there's FRUMPKIN!! Cool to see the idea bubble pop into their head here to create Frumpkin.
I discovered Critical Role as a result of looking for videos on D&D so I could learn enough to attempt to DM. Early 2016, I'd been wanting to play for years and years and years by then, but never had the chance. I finally gathered up enough friends who were interested, so I started trying to learn enough to play. Found Critical Role, and been a fan since.
watching this months later is really interesting cause you see many things they only alluded to have become real / can be understood... Spoilers?: Like Taliesin saying he likes Matt's new class (Bloodhunter) and not telling the others which class his character has. Taliesin's new PC using the cantrip 'massage'... yeah Molly would Marisha mentioning she wants to 'sort of Internet PSAs'... which she does now for the CritRole breaks! :D
Before anyone say anything I'm not being disrespectful. What I meant was that Matt was just making a point and didn't realize until it was to late that Marisha was seating next to him. Obviously though Marisha didn't took it to heart because in the end they both laugh it off. Honest mistake and for me I ❤ both Matt and Marisha.
Last person who got to ask a question: "I can make it quick." Proceeds to tell the story of how he started playing D&D and became a DM... DUDE, THAT ISN'T QUICK!! It seems like most people who get up to ask questions want to say how they started playing D&D or that the cast is amazing and inspiring. They know. We know. Telling a story before your question slows everything down. If you HAVE to say something, keep it brief and concise, then get to your question so more fans can ask their questions. I haven't been to a con in a long time, but I hope they have started saying things like this. I'm sure the cast loves hearing these personal stories but they are not just here for you. They have a time limit and getting to as many people as possible benefits everyone.
4:14 “I have no idea how to top that” he says, and then takes his maybe-last chance of presenting himself as the actor/player of Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski De Rolo III just like that
Marisha talking about how her C2 character won't have a moral compass and how all of them will just go crazy matches so well with what turns into Beau and The M9.
18:16 Wow. That would've been amazing. Basically an extended version of the Search for Grog/Bob, but with their body taken over by an antagonistic entity instead of just imprisoned.
It wouldn't have been a one shot it would have been apart of the campaign. And who ever had their character taken over would have had to make a new character. It would have been awesome though
around 56:00 - the question about how to make a D&D movie... it has to be something that references the players sitting around the table, and it should be set in a world that people know, like Faerun, or Dragonlance, or Greyhawk, or whatever. And it has to use the tropes of the different classes and races. Films have already been made that do this well - The Gamers, etc. If you don't reference the players controlling the heroes, and if you don't reference a known world, and if you don't at least nod to the classes and races... it's just a generic swords and sorcery movie.
This was not a moment to reveal secrets and dissect plot points. They will do that in a specific date, for a Talks Machina during the usual airing time of CR
57:10 Yeah he know "Records of Lodoss War" :) Yeah that was a great, very classical, very straight-forward D&D type stuff. That could actually work as a movie.. Nice thought
I knew there would be at least one marisha hate comment in the comments. I was not disappointed, and the guy looks even like he is part of the britain first movement, so double bonus.
I came into Critical Role about a month back.. been doing episodes 1-3 a day since.. just hit the 50th episode mark. I've my likes and dislikes of the characters, and know 1 thing - Mercer is a absolute DnD player' dream on DM'ing. I love to write, and listening to him explain a visual anything is just topnotch amazing! I am sad that I completely missed out on the closing of VoxMac, though glad too - I hate endings. So, this next campaign they're going to do I can get in ground level and move with them. But, loving what just finished, the bar is high Mercer. Can't wait!!
you should still watch the rest of the campaign there are some amazing moments u will regret missing like all of scanlans songs and other things i dont want to spoil
museluvr They're DEFINITELY gonna mention some of the events in this campaign, in the next one. Not to mention if you've gone that far you do yourself a disservice in not finishing it. Don't dislike endings, they're not always the end.
The show hasn't ended, just this campaign. They're starting over from level 1 with new characters in January. Also, if you're only about halfway through the series and want to avoid spoilers then maybe watching current interviews isn't the best idea?
I need to be careful about what Critical Role stuff I watch, I only recently started watching the show when it ended so I’m desperately trying to catch up so I don’t get any spoilers
Brad Romans - According to Matt - Talks machina after the wrap up episode - Gilmore expanded his business to Westrun & Whitestone as well. (Sherrie now runs the shop in Emon.) After spending time with Vox Machina, he decided to go on adventures himself. He does visit his parents once in awhile.
7:06 Talesin’s necklace glows as it does every thousand years to renew his lichdom. Very rare sight. Consider yourselves lucky.
7:05 Taliesin's eldritch powers briefly sparked in conjunction with his curiosity.
"Sam's new pet character is me"
BUT IT LEGIT IS WITH NOTT BEING CALEBS PROTECTOR
I was thinking the same thing.
I was about to post this
Also the respawning familiar that never goes away?👀👀👀👀
"Hi Matt, good name!" Never stop Mr. Mercer, never stop.
Liam, as Cookie: "I guess I'l just be a full time bear now!"
Talesin, as Waffle: "Full time!"
I love that man so much xD
47:56 I think we just witnessed Frumpkin being born here
It actually helped with the creation of my favorite character idea so far.
And now we know Matt got an idea here too :)
when matt fanboys about fans fanboying about him.
priceless.
ah it is so lovely
Damnit, now I want a one-shot featuring all of the DeRollo kids.
Taliesin a year of easy rider... if only you knew.
*cries a single tear for molly*
That moment at 28:30 was so cute I keep on replaying it. I love how Marisha reacted to what Matt said, and how Matt reacted afterwards. I love 'em both to bits
I love it in the beginning where they’re startled by the overhead camera and they drop all conversation and look then Liam startles Talisan
"Sam's pet character it's me" Well, that was true.
6:55 the mystery
1:09:55 the answer
i love marisha
Percival has as many names as Vax has daggers
As many names as Vax has attacks, I would say too. lol
He has almost as many names as Caleb Widowghast
@@solaerisfey action, action, action, bonus action, action, movement, dash. Isn't that how a hasted rogue is supposed to work? Lol
Percival has as many names as Vax has cloaks...
Marisha: We're gonna be like the Suicide Squad, and like the movie it's just a mess.
Me on C2E108: I have no idea what you're talking about.
"I am so ready to NOT have a moral compass!"
Too fucking right!
21:37 for real lol. i can't count how many times i've been watching c1 and thought "man, caleb would be really useful here"
Matt: Need to make sure we have our personal space bubbles
Me: Don't want Marisha smacking Liam in the face i see
1:24:53 Taliesin got his wish, there was a repercussion of Artagan being released on the Prime Material Plane.
and at that moment, the exandria was doomed to eternal torment, at the hands of a little blue tiefling girl

Thank you, Sarah :)
You da real mvp
I would LOVE, absolutely LOVE, to attend a seminar or series of collage style classes by Matthew Mercer on DM-ing, building a world and campaign and DnD in general. Maybe with some input from Mat Colville.
Liam: "Spoiler alert, Sam's new pet character is me."
Me: *SPITTAKE* Omg he wasn't lying.
This is all before 8.8 MILLION OF DOLLARS FOR A CARTOON
Alpha Reaper and this is before their deal with Amazon Prime!
Inspired by the CR cast, Romper Stomper, Lin-Manuel Miranda & Jane Goodall.
No wonder Liam's so great.
man as far as questions go this was such a quality panel? they somehow avoided almost all of the repetitive boring questions that ussually get asked
At about minute 54 I MUST point out (Low budget though it is...) "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising" It's THE best D&D movie I've seen so far, and it has that back and forth that's referenced between in and out of game. It's a multilayered story that's just a fun watch.
Wait. Talesin has a book designing friend named Lauren Ipsum? Did I get that right? Any designers out there catch that?
Yep! She's been on other G&S shows before, she seems really cool :D
I caught it. It's hilarious.
..... that one JUST hit me 🤣
Awesome panel with some really good audience questions. Now that the Vox Machina campaign is over, a dam of secret in-game information is slowly breaking. Can't wait for that final wrap-up session...
Hey, do you happen to know when the final wrap is?
12/14/2017
But there is no 14th month :P (Thanks for the answer though)
Angelos Inferno ummm, that's how you write a date. It says December 14th 2017. Month/day/year
Ooh, I get to play Captain Obvious: Angelos was being funny (because month/day/year is a silly way to write a date).
matt looks like hes getting kinda buffer? i know he got a personal trainer that hes been working with. good to see the hardwork paying off
He started going to the gym more regularly last year; he's been working out more recently. Sam shared a pic on his twitter showing Travis dead-lifting major weights, Matt doing regular arm-lifts, and Sam lifting a kiddie weight... it was funny.
Marisha's a lucky gal...
He and Marisha do Crossfit, i think.
That's good, it should help his back pain
Wild Mage for Viktor, yes of course. :) So glad Matt did the voice!
I was there, fully dressed as Vex and my best friend was dressed as Trinket! 😁
It's so funny they talked about a familiar that reappears and never dies here and in Campaign 2 now there's FRUMPKIN!! Cool to see the idea bubble pop into their head here to create Frumpkin.
9:00 this just in, new critical role campaign will showcase wall to wall murder hoboes...
Really wish the cameras were better so I could see Liam and tali react to the skull bit
Liam's was right on the nose saying Sam's pet character was him. With Nott and Caleb I'd say this is not entirely wrong lol
It's 2022, and looking back on these wonderful dorks, all I can say isI hope they all keep being... who they are
Wow, Matthew is BUFFing-up nicely now. Welp back TO re-watching VM's finally fight with Raishan again... :)
Imagine if Liam was joking about having him being Sam characters pet.
1 and a half hour, damn I could have have 3 hours more of this. Went by so fast.
I know, right? There's only another thousand hours of these nerds online, I need more!
watching this months later is really interesting cause you see many things they only alluded to have become real / can be understood...
Spoilers?:
Like Taliesin saying he likes Matt's new class (Bloodhunter) and not telling the others which class his character has.
Taliesin's new PC using the cantrip 'massage'... yeah Molly would
Marisha mentioning she wants to 'sort of Internet PSAs'... which she does now for the CritRole breaks! :D
7:14 for a hilarious moment of nerds being nerds.
It one of those moments that you say it without thinking about with what you are going to say. This one is from Matthew. 28:28
Grog rolling a 1 on smash the skull probably saved his character, haha.
Last person who got to ask a question: "I can make it quick."

50:50 This is the sort of thing that totally hits a chord. It is true. Imagine all the stories... everyone has one.
man I'm so excited to meet the new characters :) I love the beginning feeling out what a person actually is.
And now I am watching Record of Lodoss War..... because of Talesin......
*Thank you.*
21:42-Caleb has entered the chat-after taking 10 minutes of ritual magic.
Thanks so much for uploading this!
Matt Mercer.
You are a nursemaid for the creativity of the universe and it is using you as the conduit to bring the imagined into manifestation
4:14 “I have no idea how to top that” he says, and then takes his maybe-last chance of presenting himself as the actor/player of Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski De Rolo III just like that
55:21 wait,,,,, wHat,, why did you put that idea into my head Taliesin that’s all I’m gonna think about for the next 24 hours?????
That’s kinda like Liam’s one-shots but even more bizarre (and at the same time, way less bizarre)
Ravenloft NEVER ends well. For most players.
So much foreshadowing for the next campaign in this. Particularly Regular Gnoll at the final question.
I have finally found it! The cursed camera angle panel!
Watching this in 2022 and not even noticing the distance they were all sitting away until it was commented on. Amazing how the world has changed.
Flando's so early he posted in the description box.
47:45 That is actually an interesting idea for a character.
OMFG I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT CAMPAIGN
P.s gonna go watch the entire campaign again...you know....just cos
Marisha talking about how her C2 character won't have a moral compass and how all of them will just go crazy matches so well with what turns into Beau and The M9.
I can't wait to see their new characters and scenario Matt thrusts them into
I keep coming back to watch them trying to find the overhead camera
On about 57:30 when they're talking about a D&D movie, what movie is Matt Mercer referencing with jeremy irons storming off the set?
Dungeons and Dragons from the early 2000s. It is a gloriously stupid movie and Jeremy Irons is Godlike.
#HATFULLOFHONEY
Marisha is so dope
Can Wil Weaton use lucky feat !!?
Wil has the Unlucky feat: you roll again and take the 1.
That'd be kind of like a water elemental taking a feat to dry faster
around 56:00 - the question about how to make a D&D movie... it has to be something that references the players sitting around the table, and it should be set in a world that people know, like Faerun, or Dragonlance, or Greyhawk, or whatever. If this video ends, and no one has asked about if Raishan would've left VM alone had she gotten cured, I'm gonna be mad.
This was not a moment to reveal secrets and dissect plot points. They will do that in a specific date, for a Talks Machina during the usual airing time of CR
dec 14th in CR's usual timeslot on twitch
57:10 Yeah he know "Records of Lodoss War" :) Yeah that was a great, very classical, very straight-forward D&D type stuff. That could actually work as a movie.. Nice thought
Dnd movie? inspired by? Watch the movie Onward. :D
The spell of bearding exists in the urealms universe. Started as a goofy spell but has found many uses.
Ily liam
I knew there would be at least one marisha hate comment in the comments. I was not disappointed, and the guy looks even like he is part of the britain first movement, so double bonus.
7:20 We can see you!
man i wish I was there, would have so been willing to line up and ask them all some questions
D&D JUMANI!
That’s basically like the cartoon from the 80s
Still would LOVE to see it
Can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait can't waaaaaaaaaaaaiiiit.
1:24:53 Oh dear that foreshadowing
I was watching Critical Role episode 49, didn't know the show has ended, now I know :'(
Only the Vox Machina storyline. They're starting a whole new campaign in the new year.
And trust me, there's a hell of a ride still to come.
The show hasn't ended, just this campaign. They're starting over from level 1 with new characters in January.
Also, if you're only about halfway through the series and want to avoid spoilers then maybe watching current interviews isn't the best idea?
Actually, Matt says their starting around mid-exp level 2.
Take your 5HTP!!!
Or be like the looney toons of the goat that keeps coming back for a Sam pet class character some time.
amazing!
8:50
You're like... serious Liam.. you're actually serious???
1:26:13 When someone dares you to shotgun 6 shots of Everclear straight
Thank you, you beautiful critter!
28:33 damn, matthew mercer. already looking for a way out? ;P
51:50 Matt is the next Fred Rogers.
I need to be careful about what Critical Role stuff I watch, I only recently started watching the show when it ended so I’m desperately trying to catch up so I don’t get any spoilers
lol talesin is really regretting that chip
I was there!!!
1:26:13 Laughed a bit
I feel like the topdown cam operator is just trolling Marisha...
38:14 holy shit that guy is funny XD
Anyone know what happened to Gilmore after porting back to Whitestone?
No, but he must be fine because he delivered the women to safety. Ask for the Talks Machina show!
Brad Romans - According to Matt - Talks machina after the wrap up episode - Gilmore expanded his business to Westrun & Whitestone as well. (Sherrie now runs the shop in Emon.)
After spending time with Vox Machina, he decided to go on adventures himself. He does visit his parents once in awhile.
You know they really should have a rule. Get up, ask your question, get your answer, sit down.
Jared Knight they addressed that they much prefer the format that happened here. They mean it to be a place people can tell their story
OMG please do a TFOS one shot.
What movie are they talking about at 58?
Hat full of honey.
