I have so much respect for Mumford and Sons. Every one of their songs, is a masterpiece and they are so passionate when they sing. Best music group I've ever heard.
But they haven't had much success regarding singles in charts a very underrated band there music is brilliant,if the charts were based on talent they would be no 1 everytime compared to some of the music now all about image and about the actual talent of the singer
I don't know why I listening to this. I always get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes from this song. the pain in his voice is overwhelming. I'm not particularly religious either, strange. 🤷
When l was 9 l was hipe when l was listening this . This is one of the greatest song l have heard shout out for this man whose playing this. I will not stop listening
This is my favorite song of all time. The whole lyric of this song is awesome!. This song inspired me to write a fragment for my future book: "And when all her injustices were discovered under her reign, that was the day she lost all his loyalty and he swore to himself that would not follow anyone else and from now on, he will forge his own destiny. Finally, he prepared all his things and thus entered the abyss without turning to see everything he was about to leave behind ... "
I think, as music fans themselves, they can understand and appreciate how someone can be so moved by the music of a bunch of "ordinary guys". There must be a band/artist that moves you!? Consider that perhaps not everyone feels that way about that band/artist but if you do, that's all that really matters. That's what makes the "relationship" between musician and fan so amazing.
I just keep waiting for the Rajasthani folk to kick in. You cant unhear that version if you listen to it once. Dharohar project is something out of this world...
Just saw them a few days ago and damn, they are just as good as they were in 2012. I think the best part of them performing live is just how into it they get with each song.
The people talking in the background while having the oppurtunity to be there and see this is just ignorant. That chick's not getting invited ever again!LOL
AWWW Broken Crown it's been awhile since they have played this live I LOVE IT !! Marcus said he has an incredibly "strong " right arm that's why he's always breaking strings LOL
1:25 of this song gives me goose bumps every time! I love how he sings this so passionately. Anyone talking during this song does not deserve to be at a Mumford concert. I am American and utterly ashamed. Please, respect the artist on stage!
I agree a few of them were being obnoxious but you have to remember really good musicians can be fueled by the crowd. Some band to deal with it well some don't. Take red hot chili peppers for instance, I don't really like most of their music but seeing them live was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. They feed off of each other's energy in the crowd's energy so well that it makes the experience so much better. I do feel though that some of them could have waited until the end of the song for the loud screaming. I guess it's possible they didn't realize there was more to the song. But as I said a good musician uses the energy of the crowd never lets it hold them back.
I agree with you, This just happens to be a song filled with anger or resent perhaps, particularly in the studio version. Very aggressive and very beautiful.
You can tell the ppl who r not fans of M&S. cuz they applause early at 3:52 and 4:08 also WTF AUDIENCE WAS ASLEEP. Mumford & Sons r the best. My top fav group artist ❤💚🤍💜
I can't help laughing at the man headbanging and playing keyboard at around 2:40. It's awesome that he's getting into the music like that, but... I can't help that it's so funny to me.
That's the case for most of their songs...but for "I Gave All" and "Broken Crown" it's F. For songs like "Babel", "Holland Road", "The Cave", and "Lover's Eyes," it's an F#, as they're open D tuning. Although "The Cave" is capoed to open E tuning.
It's in Open D minor actually, (DADFAD) - previously used in 'I Gave You All' and 'Thistle and Weeds'. Like a lot of Mumford & Songs, the sound is mainly through just fretting the lowest bass string, and the 3rd string (what is normally G), leaving the others open to ring out. In this tuning, watching the videos it should be relatively easy to figure out.
TOTALLY! can't get that version outta my head... and i thought they said something like "this is gonna be on the next album" or so... and now i got babel and it's this version?! i like REALLY liked that indian version! and the lady with the tamporine kinda thing made it so complete :(
And many more they just keep getting better and make feel like music has hope, and bring back a little sense of what led zeppelin did in the 60's and 70's of course different age different music same feeling and passion
How can someone yell when he's singing this song? Just shut up, listen and cry.
It’s a concert.
people that dont shut up are so fuckin annoying
@@megasauruss ever seen japanese concert, shit like that never happens there
@@hermanwillem7057 yep they all sit in silence
Because of different people being different, this is a workout song for me. It gets me pumped
I have so much respect for Mumford and Sons. Every one of their songs, is a masterpiece and they are so passionate when they sing. Best music group I've ever heard.
+Natalie Mogel all the lyrics are so deep aswel, that's (apart from the brilliant composition aswel of course) what gives the songs so much heart.
+Luca Dullaart Definitely!!
A show with The Oh Hello's as an opener and Mumford and Sons headlining would be enough for me to die happy.
Bet u never heard of KREATOOOR
But they haven't had much success regarding singles in charts a very underrated band there music is brilliant,if the charts were based on talent they would be no 1 everytime compared to some of the music now all about image and about the actual talent of the singer
I don't know why I listening to this. I always get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes from this song. the pain in his voice is overwhelming. I'm not particularly religious either, strange. 🤷
HE BROKE HIS GUITAR STRUNG AND STILL SOUNDED PERFECT ❤️
He didn't necessarily need that string
When l was 9 l was hipe when l was listening this . This is one of the greatest song l have heard shout out for this man whose playing this. I will not stop listening
This is my favorite song of all time. The whole lyric of this song is awesome!. This song inspired me to write a fragment for my future book:

People he's performing for you stop, shut up, just listen and enjoy.
I love how he breaks the string and just keeps going :) This is real music
What an underrated performance, this belongs millions of views
Fucking amazing, and the string breaking at the very last strum before the last lines were a perfect finish to the crescendo, intense.
You can feel their passion for the songs, their insturments, and the music when they play. Truly amazing.
I was there this night it was amazing
with how he plays 2:23, you can tell he has a wholehearted passion for music.
I think, as music fans themselves, they can understand and appreciate how someone can be so moved by the music of a bunch of "ordinary guys". There must be a band/artist that moves you!? This song is the most precious piece of gods heart that ever existed.
Their best song.
I just broke the exact same string while tuning my guitar for this very song.
I'LL NEVER PLAY YOUR BROKEN STRING!!
@@Mustafa-xd6jz how... just... why...
Cool story bro
I will be buried to this song !!! I freaking love this song !!!
some people are just too lucky to be there! I'm the biggest fan of Mumford & Sons ever and I've been to unlucky to get to a show! LIVEN UP PEOPLE!!!!!
I think he looked so emotional because this is a very personal song that he specifically said he wasn't going to give anyone the true meaning of it
This song is so amazing!!!!! I love how he broke the string at the end😂. Just shows how passionately he was playing
I don’t know why I love it so much when musicians break the strings on their guitars.. I guess it’s shows how hard they’re playing.
Best song ever!
totaly agree!
I super totally agree!
Man this song is, just amazing.
This is literally the best song I've ever heard in my whole entire life!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mumford & Sons. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!
What a piece!! This music speaks to my soul. I recently purchased Babel, of all of the tracks this has to be my personal favorite.
One of my absolute most favourite songs from these guys. Still can't believe that I get to see them next month.

and now it's purely brilliant!
i love how their live versions always sound as good as the studio versions! :)
Just got "Babel" It's so awesome!!! Love that song
I just keep waiting for the Rajasthani folk to kick in. You cant unhear that version if you listen to it once. Dharohar project is something out of this world...
my fave. song of their new album
These guys are wise beyond their years...So impressive
one of very few bands whos quality only intensifies when played live rather than falters like so many others.
Saw them last night and can't get over how amazing they were live
first time hearing this song live, amazing show!
This song makes me feel strong. Love it.
Best song on the Album! i was shattered when they didn't perfom this on live at the Brisbane, Aus concert :( OR the Road to Red Rocks dvd :(
done with uni work, now it's time to listen this magical song, look at into his eyes and smoke a cigarette till morning.
my favorite song ever...so mad I can't get tickets for 2013 tour :(
Just saw them a few days ago and damn, they are just as good as they were in 2012.
I think the best part of them performing live is just how into it they get with each song.
The people talking in the background while having the oppurtunity to be there and see this is just ignorant. That chick's not getting invited ever again!LOL
Great song. This camera captures an awesome image and typical sound.
I just got their album today! So excited!!!!
Love it so much!
This song...brings me to tears! ;w;
Exactly how it should be. My favourite band singing one of my favourite songs.
A band like this desourve the best audience ever!
This is my favorite song ever!!!!!!
It's just because he destroys his strings when he plays songs like this. I love it!
AWWW Broken Crown it's been awhile since they have played this live I LOVE IT !! Marcus said he has an incredibly "strong " right arm that's why he's always breaking strings LOL
Yeah, they should be a bit more respectful.
1:25 of this song gives me goose bumps every time! I love how he sings this so passionately. Anyone talking during this song does not deserve to be at a Mumford concert. I am American and utterly ashamed. Please, respect the artist on stage!

Broke that string! Such a good song
Holy shit, this next album is going to be badass!!!!!
It was indeed haha
I too wasc hoping they'd play this on the 6th but glad you were able to record it for us to enjoy!!
I agree with you, This just happens to be a song filled with anger or resent perhaps, particularly in the studio version. Very aggressive and very beautiful.
Broken Crown
Mumford & Sons
Album: Babel
Touch my mouth
And hold my tongue I'll never be your chosen one
I'll be home, safely tucked away
Well you can't tempt me if I don't see the day
The pull on my flesh was just too strong
It stifled the choice and the air in my lungs
Better not to breathe than to breathe a lie
'Coz when I open my body, I breathe a lie
I will not speak of your sin
There was a way out for him
The mirror shows not
Your values are all shot
But oh, my heart was flawed I knew my weakness
So hold my hand
Consign me not to darkness
So crawl on my belly til the sun goes down
I'll never wear your broken crown
I took the road and I fucked it all the way
Now in this twilight, how dare you speak of grace
So crawl on my belly til the sun goes down
I'll never wear your broken crown
I took the road and I fucked it all the way
Now in this twilight, how dare you speak of grace
So crawl on my belly til the sun goes down
I'll never wear your broken crown
I can take the road and I can fuck it all the way
But in this twilight, our choices seal our fate

Thanks great show great night great sharing
Beautiful song x
He is a FREAKING BEAST! ahhhhhhhh.
i appreciate your input on this matter
Love this
Love this song
That broken guitar string says it all
This crowd is way more calm than I'd ever be if I was that close to the stage
obsessed with the keyboardist just going HAM on the left
GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!
Their version of this song with Dharohar Project and Laura Marling is soooooo epic!
Look it up. Guarantee to blow your mind.
amazing
I wanna more song, like this
nice song & camera too
Marcus is like "fuckin high E broke..."
It's a D in this song. He tunes it to an open D minor tuning.
Matttized Funny thing is that even if it was in standard, it wouldnt be the high E. He broke the G string, which in open D is F#.
IgnoreMyName The song is tuned to open D minor so that would be an F not F#
Sorry mate, it's F#, Marcus has said it himself
That's the case for most of their songs...but for "I Gave All" and "Broken Crown" it's F.
For songs like "Babel", "Holland Road", "The Cave", and "Lover's Eyes," it's an F#, as they're open D tuning. Although "The Cave" is capoed to open E tuning.
Tengo tantas ganas de verlos en vivo...estarán en Chile en marzo y me encantaría poder ir, muchas gracias por el video.
Saludos desde Perú
I love this Mumford & sons and worry about new Mumford without banjos. :(
I was at first too but they're still really good. It's different, but I still love their music.

The audience weren't as good as I expected them to be. But man the song is one of my top favorites.
Awesome, thanks for the quick response :)
Why can’t I find this song on spotfy anymore?
Than you for posting this Patrick. Tell your kids I said hey

The harmonies in this version remind me of system of a down, so freaking cool
I'll never playyy, your broken string!
Fuckin love These guys!
