    Its one of my favorite paintings. As an artist I am amazed at the amount of detail in this painting. There is even details on the little people in the tower.

    Looks to me that Brueghel was depicting an already destroyed tower...being rebuilt in his day. Which is exactly what mankind keeps trying to do, over and over.

    0:45 no, that's not what the story says. It's what storybook paraphrases of the story claim. The story itself is very short, it's the first eleven verses of Genesis chapter 9, so there's not much excuse for not doing the research here. The real reason in the story is *to make a name for themselves". That's a very different reason.
