Low power drifting with E36 M50B20 is so much fun!

Due to the clutch problems in my new chassis, we have made with my friend a trip to Broczyno Airport to test his new toy after our first improvements - e36 with some really simple, missle mods and just ~150hp M50B20 engine. It was so much fun! Cause not so many torque as it should have, to link whole track, you have to push it to the limits without any mistakes, fast transissions and perfect line. After some practice I saw that this is possible so it means to me as a driver a lot, that I can drift with a low power vehicle too! Please enjoy as much as I had! Reveal of my new car still to come!

Update for interested viewers - car was dynoed after, had just 137hp with something about 16x Nm of torque - that is why had no power to do roundabout on 2nd gear :D But was really ultimate fun...

how much km engine has? it lost power from that?

if are you asking about nowadays, engine does not exist anymore. After about one year from the movie was swaped into b25

U should try a 3.91 diff. I still have it in from my manual swap and no joke it's UNSAFE to drive in the rain if u don't know what ur doing. I can't go above 110 but from 60-90 it's like a turbo on the take off

Diff always depends on the track 🙂 overall I am much against short diffs in low power cars cause everything shorter then 3.45 on 2nd gear is too short for most of polish tracks/layouts. For example on this skid pad on 3.9 I would do better first section with roundabout but last corner would be straight due the lack of wheelspeed. Then when I would to use 3rd on 3.9 I would have even less hp on the wheels then now 🙂 So I personally recommend for every low power cars below 200 hp something like 3.45 - they are really universall. Works good even in my 1.6 🙂
