- I had an amazing talk with Marius Nielsen from Engelsholm Højskole in Denmark. We talk about everything from what is video/VJing in Denmark like. To teaching visual culture and VJing, analog and digital video gear, students creativity and all that good stuff.

hey Cat -fo - Ghosts I have a vtech videopainter coming in the mail (you draw onto TV), along w an Edirol V4. I have a TV, a VHS player, and an hdmi converter//
are there any other essential tools I need to tinker w digital overlays? I am an oil painter, and want to transpose 8-bit vibe/anolog static over the painted image, and treat it like a gif.
any advice you might have would be really appreciated. Im walking in the dark, as it were
Stuff like the Vtec video painter is very cool for that kind of stuff, Maybe have a look at getting a simple video camera and tv that you can use as a feedback path,
as in plug the tv into one of the 2 v4 outputs, and then use the camera to film it, then when you put overlay on it, that overlay gets fed through the feedback channel and distorted in a very cool way.

@@catfullofghosts4478 yes. I am a wage slave thus all my new information comes in to form of audio. Plus your show would be the first VS podcast. I remember when the first modular synth podcast started, now the guy lives off his Patreon, for the most part.
