Man that is so cool with the voice control! I did not know that you could change the climate control with the vocal commands. I have a driver's manual that I've looked into a little bit but I didn't see this feature yet! Thank you very much for making me a straightforward and informational video! Cheers!

Unfortunately it's buried in the Navigation manual and is not in the regular manual. There is a list of commands in the back of the navigation Manuel. I'm glad it helped.

@@mrsillystrings4075 the Touring will narrarate a list of available spoken commands to you. It also has a hidden "tell me the time/clock" command if you can't be bothered to glance towards the radio.

Wow, I didn't know about the voice control, but I only had my 2013 Pilot Touring for 2 months.

I had no idea about the Dolby setting, thanks!
The 09-11Touring, (and maybe any with Navigation) uses GPS to aid the "auto" setting on the climate control. GPS is used to determine for heat gain on different sides of the vehicle -according to the manual.
You can defeat the daytime running lights by (upon starting the engine) not allowing the emergency brake pedal to fully elevate after triggering the release lever. The brake will be disengaged, but the switch will still be in the "engaged" state and the DRLs will stay off ...useful at the drive in theater when arriving late/leaving early.
Windows and sunroof can be closed from outside the car by turning the driver's door lock counter clockwise and holding.
Pilot Touring (maybe EX-L too) : You can remote unlock the rear glass by using a generic Honda(meaning not the specific Pilot Touring and maybe EX-L too) fob's trunk release -after pairing the remote to the car. The Pilot specific fob opens the rear hatch, not the glass.
The Navigation system will leave "bread crumb" navigation points/dots on the map when your are driving on unmapped roads.

Your comment about using a non-pilot touring key to unlock the glass, I have never heard that before. So you get a third key and program it to lock/unlock your pilot and the trunk release will release the rear glass? That's a pretty neat hack. Thanks

@@Rekonstruct correct, if you buy a fob remote for an Accord it will remotely pop open the glass when you press the trunk release. I was very surprised when this happened to me on my Touring because it means Honda included the extra relay for the Glass in the Touring and EX-L. However the computer can only remember 2 fobs at a time.
I imagine if you got an aftermarket multifunction 2 way remote alarm system you could program both hatch and glass onto a single fob.

Now put your key in the drivers door. Unlock rolls the windows down. Just like the remote.
No with the windows down lock the doors using the key in the door and hold it. The windows will all go up.

I use this feature all the time, especially if I have the sunroof configured for vent and it might rain. Just have to stick the key in the drivers side door and turn it to lock like you said and it closes the sunroof.

I have a 2009 Ex-l with 194,000 and my only complaint is that between 40-60 mph, i get some sort of shutter in my transmission. Anyone else experience that with theirs?? Or why it does it?? When not doing that. It shifts perfectly fine and smooth

I find the voice control kinda useless. It's faster to just reach over and adjust the setting I want. The one thing that drives me crazy in my 2011 pilot is the temperature control hvac. If I sync the temp between the 3 zones then the driver's control should be the master and the other 2 follow it when I make an adjustment, but nope gotta adjust all three or tell it to sync after every adjustment with the stupid voice control.

    • @Rekonstruct
      @Rekonstruct  5 місяців тому

I'm sorry to hear that. It doesn't function that way on my 2015. All 3 zones follow the drivers side and when Sync is selected the passenger and rear change to what the driver is set to.
