Boogie I’m so happy for You being able to walk like this & make content like this . I’ve been watching you for a long time and you have done great job improving your health ❤️
As a modern magic player who got into it in 2016, I never got to play some of these old cards or have even heard of them. You should do more of those bulk openings just talking about old cards and sets and how you played them. I enjoyed that
As the biggest MTG channel on UA-cam, I've got some bad news. I can confirm that MTG is going down the toilet and anyone that joined when you did have left. Someone just sold me a $30,000 collection because even they're getting out.
That's awesome. Definitely do more of these videos. I used to work at a game exchange in Alabama in the early 2000s. I haven't seen one in 15 years at least since they shut down here in my area. We only sold games. It was before the collectible trend I guess. But we did clean every cartridge and buffed every disc that we bought. And didn't accept games without the case and instruction book. Unlike GameStop that would just buy any garbage people would bring in and turn around and sell it to people in that same condition. I always liked that about them
On the subject of your surprise at them selling DvD and Blu Ray, there's a whole community on YT, TikTok, Instagram, FB, & Reddit dedicated to physical media collecting. It's going almost completely to a collector's market. Other than that, great video Boog! Love seeing you out and about!!
True, I bought some just for collecting the past few years, didn't even watch them yet (as I already did). And if he saw the price of some Anime series boxes...
Thanks for sharing your gaming stores in your area, Boogie. You must live in a area where video gaming is more popular than other locations in your region. Here in NYC, we have a Gamestop in Manhattan with 2 floors of games, including old systems. Good video.
My town use to have a Game store that was so Anti-Gamestop that they was SUPER competitive with their trade in and buy prices because of it. In the end they failed. Don't know why, but it possibly was they wasn't making enough profit.
i loved this! i love seeing people go shopping and browsing nerd stores! this felt like a relaxing day out with a friend. absolutely more content like this!
We have one around us called "Record Exchange" that used to be an old record store, then a CD store, and now used games. It has damn near any media format you could dream of.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a Game Exchange. Your shop looks amazing as they have great collectibles there which is right up my alley. Thanks for sharing your tour of it.
Hey, Boogie … great job w/this video - I Luv It … the POV perspective, voiceover and your choice of background music were perfect! Thanks for the work you put into it … all the best, Brother 🍻
Digital is a lot more convenient, but something about owning physical media is a must for me. I'm one of those suckers that will get a steelbook of a movie I really enjoy and will definitely re-watch again. That way I can have the 4k/blu-ray and digital code. It's especially good if the power ever goes out and I can just watch something on my laptop thanks to having an actual disc. The same goes with buying physical video games. Digital is a lot easier, but I still like to HAVE the disc just in case. I've sold back games before and you just can't do that with digital.
Looks like you made money on that repack. TCG Player has Pyroblast listed at just over $4 and Natire’s lore at about $1.60 If you got a few of each, that pays it back and then some.
As far as I'm concerned, Gamestop has always had competition in both GameXchange, and Vintage stock I used to have a GameXchange in my area, but the owner closed it when there was talk about the ps5 not having used games (remember that?) he kinda panicked, and closed it, which sucked...
It's also important for games since they keep dying and disappearing from the face of the earth. I just tried to buy unreal tournament on steam and discovered all UT games have been disappeared from the face of the internet. Can't trust that things you like will be available forever.
6:20 I think this is a type of content you should make more of: Voice over talking about what interests you, with a nice chill soundtrack. It's relaxing.
Last time I went to GameStop, I sold them my original Xbox One and put the money towards a Project Scorpio. Seems like so long ago. I also remember going to the midnight release for GTA V, it was like a phenomenal event. Fallout 4 was the last midnight release I ever went to. Felt way too old and tired to be there that night lol
We have a similar kind of place here in the UK called CEX (pronounced like you think) that buy and sell second hand stuff, and they're full of old games and other media. A real treasure trove for someone looking to fill in some gaps in their vintage collection. They're pretty great for old electronics and consoles too and check they're all in working order.
A few things. 1. I would love it if you did a series of the gpk advent calendar, maybe as a series of shorts, if you'd want to. 2. That Gundam section in games exchange was INSANE 3. Depending on how much you want for each of them and which ones you have I'd be interested in the pop figures you have, especially if they're nightmare before Christmas.
Hey Boogie i’m not sure if you know this or not but when you first going to game xchange, you can see the license plate on your red car clear as day and I know it’s your license plate because every time you get out to go to a new store the same car is right behind you. Just wanna give you heads up on that man be careful. PS big fan bro would luv a follow back.
boogie no matter what anybody says ill always be a fan of yours through the good and the bad we are all human, humans make mistakes! love ya bro keep makin sweet content ❤️🔥
Interesting style of video for you Boogie. Something I would expect from Brightsun, Dan Bell..ect. I personally still keep my DVD binder around just in case. I find that if the internet ever goes out, I am glad that I at least have a decent sized library of physical media that works, as long as I have power that is.
GameStop’s competition has always been Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and Amazon they took all the mom and dad shoppers due to convenience of shopping all in one place. A large swath of core gamers were lost to the digital distribution sources… these other companies like Game Xchange, Vintage Stock etc, were such a small blip of market share it wasn’t even worth mentioning, if it were then GameStop would have bought them when they had the cash just like they did with EB Games, GAME, Rhino, Free Record, Micromania, and Blockbuster’s GameRush (secretly bought all their inventory)
I recently made a video on going to a Game Exchange. I’m located North East and know there is a lot of GE’s around me, but did not know there were those stores down south. GE though is a great chain, awesome choices of games and collectibles for sure. Great video Boogie!! 😎🎮🔥💪
I remember back in the day before it became whataburger and that oil change place. They had a game exchange over there by college street. I would spend so many hours there. The one on mlk is really small and meh but I mainly do digital anymore. Glad your doing around our area and town. Enjoyed the video.
Those are very cool stores. I live in L.A. and stores that size would have to bring in a TON of traffic every day just to make rent. Everything is crazy here!
the one by my house is awful, bought a broken PS1, get scratched discs where they haven't worked half the time, Employees get annoyed when asking for help. Glad this one is a good one.
We have a few GameXchanges around here, but nowhere NEAR this big. But we have V-Stock. It's huge! It's almost like a small Walmart and they sell melee weapons, LP's, and books.
@boogie2988 love these local videos brother!! I remember when the japanese set of the second generation pokemon cards first came out and nobody knew about them at first (at least my age kids) but vintage stock in springdale had them! I was the coolest kid in 6th grade because of them haha. Vintage stock has my heart forever because of my childhood. Visit the Joplin one at some point if you haven't. Its BIG.
Game exchange left my area 15 or 20 years ago. Thought they were completely gone. Similar style store in this area is Vintage Stock and it used to be called Caveman Comics.
I used to have 6 game stops with in 30mins from me, 0:46 and now I have 1 lol i just go to target or order off amazon for games. Im a physical game guy. I just love the box art still when buying a game. Plus, it makes me soending $70 on a game. I feel better being i ha e something to show after spending $70 on a game.
I had such a huge DVD collection that I got annoyed as systems made it harder and harder to even try to play a DVD, even on a computer. I gave up and just went to digital movies via Amazon Prime, but tbh- it was just so much better when I had a huge movie collection, and cheaper. I always have to wait until I get digital credits or a movie goes on mega cheap sale. Thanks for this walk through, it's nostalgia I will miss.
This style of content is pure gold Boogie. I love when you just go explore and do a voice overlay. very peaceful and relaxing. Please make more!
I appreciate that!
Agreed I love watching and listening to him speaking has a nice calming voice xox

It's always fun to go exploring these local haunts! These are the places that bring people together and they always hold a special meaning for me.
Man, I love stores like these. Just wish I had them around where I live. Thanks for letting me visit these places through you, Boogie!
Had a bad week, and something about this video and the passion in your voice really lifted my spirits. Loving this style of content, Boogie < 3
Boogie talking about games. My FAVORITE videos

I like this style of video, exploring stores and chatting. Relaxed and fun content. Make more for sure
Thank you for continuing this series!
I love this shift in content boogie. I haven’t watched in a while but this was so great

I'd have a field day there, I LOVE collecting nostalgia Blu Rays and VHS from childhood. Got quite the expensive collection too lol
Fantastic vid, Boogie! I love this style of content.

We all adore you pal. I hope your relationship works for the best. I’m wishing luck to you both :) 🤘🤘🤘🙏🙏🙏
I remember years ago when you did your gamestop rant. Boogie not francis. It was about used games and it was awesome 😎
Definitely got your $6 back on the Pyroblasts and Nature's lore
Hey man, I remember your videos were the first I ever watched on UA-cam. It's great to see you going 12 years later.
For some reason watching someone go shopping in a video while you sit in the comfort of your own hope is so nice.
Francis flipping the table at the card game was one of his best, if not his best video.
Looks like you made money on that repack. TCG Player has Pyroblast listed at just over $4 and Natire’s lore at about $1.60 If you got a few of each, that pays it back and then some.

The importance of physical media for movies has been demonstrated with some streamers censoring older movies.
Which movies? Some old movies with racist scenes have disclaimers in front of them now, but nothing's been censored.
I know tv shows have been messed up from the idiotic censoring.

This place looks like heaven
I haven't shopped at GameStop for a while
Same like I have used their online but have not bought a game from the actual store in a long time
Same
Yea once they made us download the entire game it became useless to go to the store. Buying on the console is easier and quicker.

Game Exchange baby we have one in Conroe Texas
Those MUSLE men toys from the 80’s brought back some good memories. I was looking those up on E Bay to see about getting some.

Boogie i loved this video, back in the days i waited new video from you. Now i feel same again. Love from Finland!
