34:16 Still would be fine with a (dark) Blue and White Movie Barricade (which we essentially got with TLK) that has yellow and magenta robot parts revealed after transformation.
24:14 those pieces you refer to as winglets are not winglets. they are a form of control surface known as a canard. they essentially function like the elevators on a traditionally laid out aircraft providing the force to pitch the aircraft up and down. they are present on aircraft that have winds mounted near the aft of the aircraft such as the Beechcraft starship, Rutan long-EZ, and multiple Sukhoi and Saab fighter designs. they do in fact serve a purpose. Flak is my favorite Micromaster. That little missle tank is just so adorable. I thought I lost him and couldnt find him for months. Until I pulled my oven away from the wall to clean and found him chilling amongst a hidden cash of cat toys. For some reason my cats love micromasters and constantly bat them off the shelves and under the oven. so if you have cats get them some micromasters. Because it turns out that cats can be transformer fans too! :) nice video mate and merry christmas to you :)
43:11 no....by far no Mine just broke not so long ago always had difficulty folding the front legs and in one time, I felt it didn't move at all to form the casset mode, forced to fold and the peg just broke there and then don't know if I should keep him in cassete mode or not unless I want that leg to fall off
I never knew they did a mold revision of the Battle patrol set. I'm glad they did because the leg sockets on my copy didn't give enough surface area to cover the ball joint so the legs would pop off anytime I moved them. the poor hip design on the Micromasters were one of the main reasons I stopped buying them.
An fyi, Whisper is modeling what the stealth fighter was thought to look like at the time (checkout the microprose f-19 stealth fighter game art for an example). So Visper is modeled closer to the actual F117.

Great energy and passion on display here in your in-depth review. I think many of these micromasters fail at being fun. Which, for such simple transformations, should be easy to flip back and forth and many of them don't. Many have issues with clearances and tolerances. What good is an arm that can move, if you can barely move it past plastic bits that rub against it? What good are ball jointed legs if they loose and/or pop off all the time? What good is a Robot mode if it can't stand up? And the worst bit is Hasbro trying to force all of these designs into combined gun/weapon modes that are too big, too awkward, and look awful. These designs should be as simple and as pleasurable to transform as GoBots. Instead, they mostly suck the fun out of the experience of handling them or playing with them. Out of the bots you showed here; Flak, Topshot, Visper, and the other plane guy are the better choices. The planes weapon mode is far too big and clunky. I feel like if Hasbro just designed these without the need for the weapon mode functionality, then they could have been more successful in terms of simplicity and individual play. As it stands now and as per your theory that legends figures should be first and foremost: "fun," I think we can categorize the WFC micromaster experiment as mostly a failure. I wonder if young kids actually used these as weapons for bigger bots? Sidenote: Can you find a way to make your references to the legends SIGN more clear. They are always short, and that's not a problem. The problem is legibility at phone size. It's near impossible to read, especially since the graphic is an inset. Maybe take a new picture of the sign being held. Otherwise, it's a GREAT recurring joke! You are making really fun videos. You put a lot of work and production into you reviews and it shows. Excellent.
An one armed RoadHandler was my first Transformer. That two pack is the only one i bought for nostalgia sake. Third party takes on micro masters would be interesting. A few weeks ago I came across an in package battle patrol set and picked it up on a whim due to your initial review after years of giving 0 shits about micromasters. And I have to agree they’re brilliant, I even go a good copy of the Topshot head. Though I will disagree that I believe that Flak is the superior of the two. His transformation is just so simple I find myself constantly going back and forth between them (other than the head which is a bit of a pain). I find Topshot’s spurs unwieldy though I totally understand their necessity. Also I can’t think about him without immediately hearing a certain tune from deltarune. I think it’s cute how much taller topshot is than Flak, especially if you keep the cannon on his head(which I do)
