To everyone trying to do isolations, don't give up!! It took me 8 months to finally build the arm strength and the stamina to do isolations and it's made me soo happy!! Good luck!!

Thanks for this! ❤ I’ve been hooping for a year and a half, almost daily, but rarely watch videos because 30 seconds in, I’m already overwhelmed. I can’t do any trick!
Think I’m getting better though! Slowly lol! 😂

Thank you!! Yes sustained spinning can be difficult to master without feeling like you want to puke. Dizziness is natural but you can try turning in both directions alternating, spotting a point in the room continuously or softening your gaze. Stopping regularly, drinking water and resting while you build up your spinning stamina is important
    Good luck!!

this was so good right now! I remember when I first saw the video as a beginner, I couldnt even find out how to do the first move with fun. Now I watched it again carefully, filmed myself to find out the mistakes and I finaly got all of the moves! so beginners, don´t give up, practise with calm and patience!

Yay thanx Deanne! It's sometimes those little tips like making sure the whip out iso is close to the body that makes all the difference. I've been trying that move for forever and it just wasn't feeling right until I realised I wasn't doing it close enough to my body! So happy to finally have it!

Hey Dianne! My name is Jasmine and I am doing a presentation on you for one of my classes. My assignment was to find a way that youtube benefits our society. My presentation is on the access of being able to learn things for free. I am a hooper myself, and your videos have taught me a portion of what I know. I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for me?

  • @ChannelRMN

Deanne - the hoop you are using - is it weighted at all? I have a hoop that is about 1.5 pounds I believe. I bought it from canyon hoops. when I try to do these "off body" moves it seems heavy and challenging on the wrists - and that is okay however I want to make sure I am not forcing my arms to do more work or UNnatural things than they should. any recommendations? I see people talking about polypro - I am assuming they are light weight. am I thinking right? thank you! Newbie - Ro

When I try to do these, the hoop just "follows" my hands down instead of staying in one place. I can't seem to get enough grip on it so that it doesn't move horizontally. Is my hoop too heavy or is my grip just too weak?
