    i just started hooping a couple of weeks ago. I am completely new and have zero knowledge but hooping today felt so right, happy, and pure that I started crying. I know this is what I am supposed to do. I struggle so much with self doubt but I know that if I stick with it that maybe I can one day move with such grace, precision, and skill and really hone this newfound passion. I hope one I find my groove and gain momentum in hooping. wish me luck!

      It's great self care and if you are going threw alot it gives you the "me time" that we all need. "Self care" mindfullness. It pulled me out of depression and it can do the same for you.!

    I will be 53 in Dec, and have never "hooped" in my life! Been watching a lot of your videos lately and today made my first ever Hula Hoop! Thanks to your videos, I am now starting my Hoop Journey! Tried out my hoop and was able to get it to go a little! I look forward to getting good at it and being able to learn some tricks. Thanks again for these videos!

    I am a new hooper and have been watching many hooping videos. They are all inspirational, but you really EXPLAIN things well and make it easier to figure out exactly how to do things. I am a teacher myself and I recognize great instruction when I see it. You are fabulous! Thank you!

    Thank you so much for your dedication to this UA-cam channel and to flow! I've only been hooping for about two months now, and your videos are a definitely a huge help. It's been exciting to progress and all of it seems like such a fun challenge right now. The time I've put into it has really been magical. Even more good stuff, one of my girlfriends just ordered her first hoop last week. There are no flow artists in our immediate area, but it looks like we're changing that. Thanks again and much love!

    I would LOOOVE to come to Bali for the Sacred Circularities Retreat one day! It has become a dream. I started hooping about 3 1/2 months ago and have become absolutely obsessed since. Literally watching non stop hooping UA-cam vids for inspiration. Being there with all the greats of hooping would be an amazing learning experience. Great tips Deanne, thank you!

    Thank you for being such a huge contributor to this world! I saw people hooping years ago and was in awe. I always dreamt of doing it myself and being that hoop goddess. You have inspired me so much and I have recently started hooping. I am so in love with it and I wish there was a following in my area. I have researched and haven't really found anything at all around me. I know you'll be great for the retreat and would love to someday get to go. But I will be watching through your lense and can't wait to see it.

    Can you explain how you're twisting your wrist to make your hoop move from side to side in a parallel motion? I don't feel like it was explained very well verbally in my opinion I and I can't just get it through visual learning either

    I am very new to hooping,I love your videos and am teaching my self via UA-cam,how ever I noticed everyone teaching is using a advanced hoop instead of a starter hoop (40 inch) and or weighted.I am having trouble doing some of the tricks with a big hoop but still can not hoop with a smaller hoop.Aby tips? I have a patio for this and so does my little girl she is two.

    • @Gwenicat
      @Gwenicat 8 років тому +1

      use your big hoop! i only use a smaller one when i hit the ceiling! teachers simply use a smaller hoop because that's where they're at. you can do it all with a big one :-)

    I have a weighted hoop. It's too bulky for dancing. What's a good hoop to get for dancing? I'd prefer to purchase from an actual store so that I can feel it before purchase.

      I made my own hoop out of 3/4" 100 PSI HDPE pipe and a 3/4" coupling and some decorative duct tape. you can find them both at a home store like Home Depot. a lot of tutorials on here say you need a special pipe cutter but to be honest I just used a power saw and it worked just fine! only issue is they only sell it in 100ft rolls which is about 20 dollars where I'm from. Try CircleHoops on etsy! best prices I've ever found yet.
