When I was 19 I moved by myself to California (I’m from the UK), and I was listening to this song heavily at the time when I was getting settled in. 7 years later I totally forgot about that song.
I think one of Pogo’s songs is trending on tiktok/UA-cam shorts, his sound is so recognisable because it instantly remembered this song. Searched it up and listening to it now literally transported me back to that time, like the feelings I had when I moved & things about Santa Cruz that I had forgotten - weird things like the way it smelled, the voice that announces the stops on the bus. It’s insane the way all those memories were just unlocked by listening to this song again

without hearing it first, it sounds like a weird prospect, but for me, as many times as I have listened to these songs on the many youtube accounts I've had over the years, the music Nick makes is addicting, habit forming, and both uplifting and soothing. It helped me survive the domestic abuse at the hands of my parents, it's helping me lose weight for my soon to be wife, it helps me sleep on nights where everything I do seems to fail. I hope he never stops chasing his passions, because his music has kept me alive, sane, and happy for more than a decade now.

My older sister watched a few of these videos all the time in our shared office over a decade ago. It's weird to listen and have memories of playing minecraft of the other side of the office or do whatever I was doing come flooding back.
This was my first ever experience with Pogo. I think I found it back in 2010 so it was still pretty new at the time. And I absolutely fell in love with his music. I just suddenly remembered it the other day and found my iTunes playlist still full of all the music I planned on buying. Got two albums yesterday because I finally got a gift card to do so! So two weeks ago I went round my mates for dinner and some beers. We were going through old UA-cam videos and he put pogo on. This was so ahead of its time, to think I first listened to this 12 years ago is insane. It brings back so many good memories of chilling out in the morning after many good parties
