@@terraclaiborne2088 I more imagine them as seeing us a fellow creature. I noticed dogs are all about communication, social feedback and equality(means every member of the pack or friendship circle is accounted for and always given respect and dignity until proven unsafe or untrustworthy.) Cats are all about rank, order and chain of command, everything has to be a balance or a routine and things always happen for a reason(never take your guard down and always be prepared). Cats actually have more ability to understand right away if situation is dangerous or unsafe while dogs are like toddlers when it comes to unforseen dangers(always keep the house baby proof!)

This is a primary example of how movies used to have the room to "breathe". The pacing isn't rushed and still manages to avoid dragging. And simple movements recieve a lot of focus because the animators were showing off how well they could make a man put on his coat. There were also pleanty of meandering moments like this in Winnie the Pooh and Robin Hood.
Mind you, I have nothing against modern animation at all. Encanto is delighful.
I just wish we had a bit more variety in the pacing, because I prefer slower films.

It's the story, emotions, performance of the actors, and the thought behind it that makes a movie a great movie.

It's amazing how much I missed as a little kid. I mostly relied on visuals, as well as a few key phrases, to understand what was going on. For example, I didn't really understand what Pongo was thinking as he looked at those women in the magazines; only the pretty drawings, coupled with the phrase "human beauty," stuck in my mind. I did understand his judgments of the human and dog pairings, though, and thought they were funny. Ahhh, memories!

That's a fantastic testament to how well-made this scene is: it works, even just as visual entertainment, even if you don't know what they're talking about in the dialogue. The visual gags are just as funny as the dialogue; in fact they compliment each other, and one can still really enjoy this scene regardless of age. I didn't "get" this scene when I was a kid either because I didn't know a thing about "bachelorhood" or the like, but I remember thinking the dogs were very cute. :)

bruins1016 yes because hes himself a dalmatian. Thats why i think he is racist because he choose a dog who looks like him. Its inversal from me because i dont really like men looking like me, im into something more exotic (Balkan, Caucasian, Asian, Arabic and Hindi. The whole Asia actually). Inversal from me. Dont find Polish men atrractive. For sure if i were a dog, maybe like Lady, i would choose a spaniel. If i were a poodle (both black or white. I think black are more beautiful, in humans too) i would choose a poodle, if Collie, like Lassie then Collie. Then i would be racist because these races are most beautiful. But if i were a different race i would choose one of mentioned.

You know a good thing about 2D animation is that they are a work of art. Too bad only a very few mordern CG films take note of that. Glad that stop motion took note from 2D that animated films are more than just another film medium but are pieces of art with every shot being a work of art in it self. Honestly I love it when Disney makes animated films that have a specific art style. It gives the film an identity.
Infact I would say that Disney's 101 Dalmatian franchise probably had a great paw in both live action and animation when it came to certain aspects. For live action it was Cruella's fashion and for animation it was the art style.
