Ranting about there being no places for solo-trios to build, also I only build in legit rat holes not mesh holes. On ase there was a direct Correlation between a massive player drop and them patching a bunch of ratholes on center. Ratholes/tiny spots r needed to keep the game alive change my mind
New game old issues. I 100% agree, and this is coming from a pve player. Used to do pvp way back in ASE but because i refused to deal with the politics of mega tribes my 1~4 man small tribes basically never got to live in the same spot nore than a few weeks, and with all the tools you guys have now compared to then it's so much worse for small tribes. And some of the "pve" content thats broken in pvp, we don't like on our side of the fence either. The devs taking away rat holes is a design issue of the devs not understanding the community. But shit like the Oasisaur and catering to mega tribes is a Snail Games issue.
defense should be fixed you are 100% right this game is awesome but as soon as you get wiped theres no incentive to start again .we're not a very aggro tribe with my mates .but we got raided so much that we became gods at defending .but theres a limit to defending tough , everybody has lives behind the scenes and theres no way of defending against account sharing , offlining ,cheating in general ...great game but yeah theres work to be done defending wise .my idea is pvp off limits maps connected to pvp maps so you can have most of your stuff in that map and actually go to pvp maps and try to contest those . there is no way to play long term for smaller tribes in any other way .
If I told u when I play normal ark with 60 ple and 3 big tribes and I built in places in plain sight that big tribes didn't know my base was there..I had whole mountain side for a base with 6 wall house on top..no one knew what was under till last day official and island on ark u can build full base not seen from air or land..haven't look on Ascend..island yet .it's not a rat hole..
I mean I lasted months in a rat hole till I got wiped and got tones of pvp on official. But there was only 2 good ratholes so other small tribes joining the server had no chance bc no where to build.

Exactly, not everyone wants 10+ People in there tribe. But like he said you really have to. So I stopped playing ASA a while ago

Back in the day when it was isl and se and you wanted little base spots your best bet is a dead server there’s no difference

The base location was patched plus I was meshed by a Chinese tribe once I went on vacation
