I started racing over 30 years ago with a Tamiya Wild One. Then I got the original RC10. We formed a club and had dirt we alternated between an offroad and an oval every couple of years. We also built a banked concrete oval and put down an asphalt pad for road racing. I also had a RC10T, a 10L, 12L, Yokomo 4wd Touring, Delta 12th scale, and a Bolink Legend. I lived for racing haha Even placed 2nd place in a ROAR Regional in 10th scale stock onroad. Our track folded about 15 years ago and I started flying planes. We don't even have a hobby shop any more. I just bought 3 Traxxas Slash Pro's with onboard audio and started building a small offroad track to hack around on with my girlfriend and a buddy.
I won $500 on the first nickle I put into the slot machine. Walked around all night with that $500, Had to wait until 9 A,M, for hobby people to open. Gave my GF $200,...Then I haul ass to hobby people..Got the RC 10GT RtR, fuel, batteries,,ext...Hual ass back to the casino...LMAO My GF lost the $200....I sat down next to her,,just to check in and chit chat ..dropped a quarter in the machine next to...Walla...won another $1000.... Gave my GF $500 out of that...i didnt give a hoot....I had my RC 10 GT.lmao My GF was cool...one time she took me to guitar center and told me to pick out any guitar I want..just keep it under $1000.... I used to sneak in R/C cars and plans through the back door of my R/C building room.lmao i had so many Models...she didnt know WTF or how many I had...but she would actaully get my 2 -ea model for my BD and 2 -ea for X mas ,,,every year. She rather me chase R/C models than other women...lmao
Good idea I just ordered a brushless motor for my slash and I was super careful to make sure it was compatible and would fit in the transmission block.
Really appreciate the helpful information! I bought Traxxas' buggy as my first RC and am having a blast, and getting to know more about the tires is super helpful! Runs great in my apartment parking lot, and surprisingly well in somewhat thick grass
You've been a big help and a great influence and without even knowing you've helped me expand my collection. Started with a Arrma Crush. Then got a Granite, then a Kraton 4s, a Kraton 6s and I now have a Mojave! And it's badass. I also have three RC boats so I'm looking forward to spring to test my custom 6s boat. It used to be a Feilun FT010 then I gutted it. BTW you look super familiar. I'm in MD... Thanks and keep making superb content.
After hours rollerskating rinks and gymnasiums worked great for racing low profile vehicles like my old LaTrax (1981) LTX-40 Corvette. I've wondered how my car would hold up on astro turf as there are a few football fields around that I'd love to check out. Any thoughts? Thanks. Very informative video.
I like your approach. Is there any rc specific places? And how do you find them. I'm in arizona very few tracks and mesa frowns on rc in the parks even when you are away from others.
It's simple dude if it's a dirt BMX track use off road tires, it's in concert or a smooth surface use road tires with a nice tread and monster trucks/ buggies are best for those jumps a racing on road car wouldn't do well on those jumps type of car is key walk well when driving on a BMX track Hope this helps
Good informative videos for beginners like myself, I just ordered a exceed 1/10 infinitive nitro gas rc truck any info you may have on the history of this rc or anything I should purchase for it rite away.
Here's a question I just bought a buggy and it has a small short antenna do I hide the antenna under the shell or do I stick the plastic tubing and make the antenna pop out through the top ...what's is better??? Hiden under the shell or cuttin a hole and fitting it threw the top of the shell??
I have the traxxas UDR? Is it okay to drive it on asphalt? We don’t have much dirt in our place and I love to keep my UDR clean but would that kill my spur gears or pinion gears on asphalt?
Man you pretty much answer questions ever since I got into this hobby do you you find a BMX track location. Sorry a came along before the start of BMX😄? Thanks
When I first got into the hobby I was lucky my one neighbour had rc’s as well I had actually bought a brushless 1/18 losi baja and the other neighbor owned many muscle cars and the neighbor across the street had a brushless slash 4x4. Not much of them cared I had a hpi savage a hpi firestorm both and a traxxas jatto and the 1/18 baja
Hey bud do tires wear down really fast when driving your rc on the street? I just bought some proline badlands mx28s and was wondering if they would wear down fast if I drive it occasionally on the street?
What vehicle. If it's Traxxas, there is a solution here: ua-cam.com/video/Bm9wMq8D8fc/v-deo.html If it's another vehicle, you may want to upgrade to aluminum shocks.
with touring car driving them on the street if your going fast and hit a little bump your body will act like a parachute and launch it into the air so also watch out for bumps when driving on road cars
AllOmnivore9185 I have a slash and they are good on dirt, gravel, granite and anywhere on road I use my one for racing on a granite track and it is good for that
Hey you should do a video on the phone 9115 car by doing xienlong toys or something it's the car I have at the moment and most components are replaceable
Stay away from parking lots with curbs. I can 100% guarantee you will break things hitting the curb. It's not a matter of if, its when. Anyplace that has light poles, curbs or any kind of concrete obstruction is going to break your car. There are plenty of places you can run without obstacles that can break stuff. Sundays at a school parking lot, an old warehouse parking lot or any wide open spots will make great places to run. I like ball fields early in the morning.
I've seen people run brushless cars like and erevo into a wall and broken something like the axle when I run into a wall WITH A BRUsHLESS car it breaks chasis not even the bumper
Idk about ya’ll but dish rims in my opinion are gorgeous af on RCs. The styled rims available and the stock rims traxxas uses are just a turnoff to me. That EREVO looks nice with those dishes. They just just scream “HOBBY SCALED RC” to me.
My local parks allow rc cars as long as people are not annoyed in fact most of them just stick around and watch me drive this is an aspect my sister likes due to this she is considering buying a teton
Hey! Im new in to the racing and i want a good buggy rtr 1:10 scale around 300-200 dollars, could you help me with finding a good RTR Buggy RC pleaes help me it would mean a lot! Love your vids they help a lot!

Good and Informative video. But, I want to "go-faster" ( +150 kph ). Have you ever gotten permission to run a big (1:5) car on a full-size race track? Are there RC equivalents of FP and F1 races on tracks that replicate places like IOM, Stuttgart, Silverstone, Imola, Jerez, etc ?? Thank You
Gotta give this one a D-. You didn't mention parks, baseball diamonds, pump tracks, local rc tracks, rc clubs, hobby shops with potential tracks, hobby shop events, parking lot races, elementary schools...
Im a new viewer.. kool vids 💪🏼👍🏻... do u have a website... also im looking for a build yourself electric rc car... any help would be amazing...thank you

Could you please do a video on tires? What types you want to run, softer vs harder, inflatable vs solid vs foam? And the benefits/cons to them all?
“Can you drive a buggy on the street?”
Of course you can....
Have you seen Toy Story?
Can you do a video on how to properly select brushless motor size, along with esc size and battery size?
Thank you for the suggestion, we've added it to our To Do list.
Good idea I just ordered a brushless motor for my slash and I was super careful to make sure it was compatible and would fit in the transmission block.

You've been a big help and a great influence and without even knowing you've helped me expand my collection. Started with a Arrma Crush. RC Excitement in Massachusetts is a good place to go to.
All very good points to consider, very well done.

Excellent video.

I always look for fresh cleared lots before construction starts

RCDriver_Online No thank you for all your effort to making this kind of videos!

I’m thinking of getting the losi Baja Rey. I’m not sure what it’s made to run on. A race track? Or just sand and dirt?
If you go to a BMX track do you uses your off road tires, on road tires, or a set of old off road tires.
It's simple dude if it's a dirt BMX track use off road tires, it's in concert or a smooth surface use road tires with a nice tread and monster trucks/ buggies are best for those jumps a racing on road car wouldn't do well on those jumps type of car is key walk well when driving on a BMX track

Do you have a video for differences for driving a two-wheel compared to a four-wheel drive rc?
Good informative videos for beginners like myself, I just ordered a exceed 1/10 infinitive nitro gas rc truck any info you may have on the history of this rc or anything I should purchase for it rite away.
Here's a question I just bought a buggy and it has a small short antenna do I hide the antenna under the shell or do I stick the plastic tubing and make the antenna pop out through the top ...what's is better???
Hiden under the shell or cuttin a hole and fitting it threw the top of the shell??
How did you get that spoiler on that Rustler in the background?
Hey man I like the videos but I was wondering where you got that small trophy truck. If you don't mind could you give me some information.
Thanks. Here you go: www.teamassociated.com/cars_and_trucks/SC28/RTR/
I have the traxxas UDR? Is it okay to drive it on asphalt? We don’t have much dirt in our place and I love to keep my UDR clean but would that kill my spur gears or pinion gears on asphalt?

When I first got into the hobby I was lucky my one neighbour had rc’s as well I had actually bought a brushless 1/18 losi baja and the other neighbor owned many muscle cars and the neighbor across the street had a brushless slash 4x4. Not much of them cared I had a hpi savage a hpi firestorm both and a traxxas jatto and the 1/18 baja

This mans never heard of road tires 😂 buy something with a harder composite for Christ’s sake
jarrett maltry nah, I don’t think they does it the good size
Charles Baril oh true I’m not sure what size you’re running. Not sure why they wouldn’t make some hard belted tires for those little road racers
Hey I am wondering what is the best rc charger
Hey man what part of New York are you from ? I’m from New Jersey and don’t know a good place to run the RC? Thanks

Hey bud do tires wear down really fast when driving your rc on the street? I just bought some proline badlands mx28s and was wondering if they would wear down fast if I drive it occasionally on the street?
I learned the hard way.. wood chips arent the best idea lol. I've been trying a mix of pavement and light dirt. Good for drifting.
what is that car in the background between the buggy and the truggy on your left
what is the easiest way to avoid shock caps popping off from the shock body during run sessions
Can I assume that since the traxxas slash was not mentioned it can go everywhere

Can you do a video on really small cars?

You should feature a channel sunmitted in comments weekly. Great vid!
Thanks for watching the RC entertainer !
If you are new to rc join a local Facebook group. They will know places to run and it is more fun to bash with a group.
Great tip! Thank you for sharing!
You didn't say Ground Clearance or Body Roll but you say Abrasive?
Haha, 10/10

Hey,you expert right?can u tell me can electric rc 4x4 triught the water?
Idk about ya’ll but dish rims in my opinion are gorgeous af on RCs. The styled rims available and the stock rims traxxas uses are just a turnoff to me. That EREVO looks nice with those dishes. They just just scream “HOBBY SCALED RC” to me.
And that is why a trail/rock rumner.. it will not get hot by grass
Hahaha my son races bmx good ppl race bmx and it's a great place to drive if it's not under lock & key like our home track 😂
I'm going to get a Traxxas Rustler VXL
What about that?
TheFastLambo Productions the rustler is a all-Purpose car so you can go pretty much any where. Track, road, dirt, mild rock climbing
As you can see in my videos I to well have a bandit but they are pretty much the same. The rustler is a bit wider
Oh thanks
Btw isn’t the Rustler and the Bandit the same but different body? Doesn’t it have the same chassis?
TheFastLambo Productions you’re welcome 😉
TheFastLambo Productions uh I think the axle is a bit wider. (THINK)
My local parks allow rc cars as long as people are not annoyed in fact most of them just stick around and watch me drive this is an aspect my sister likes due to this she is considering buying a teton
I think wood Chips is the most fun for 1/18-1/10 buggys. And gravel is fun but after driving your car is full of stones 😂
What about sand? I see so many videos with shots on sand dunes but l had a terrible experience at the beach!!!
Best cars for sand has to be waterproof. Budget £600
Ideas?
Hey! Im new in to the racing and i want a good buggy rtr 1:10 scale around 300-200 dollars, could you help me with finding a good RTR Buggy RC pleaes help me it would mean a lot! Love your vids they help a lot!
