And the same aunt named her son after her dad and there mom named there brother after his dad, I know it can be one iof those things making you wondering why!

Which is great, and little William Daniel will be William IV and can be proud that they named him after his dad, granddad and great-granddad. Plus, for parents, it's not a big choice of a name after all - just follow the tradition. In the same Bates family, Tori's oldest son Kade is actually named Robert Ellis Smith iV (his father is also Robert Ellis Smith, and so on). They just do this in some families.
I think the only time I would be upset about someone naming their child a certain name is if it was something so unique and special that you know for sure they got the idea from you, but even then I don' t think I would make a big deal out of it. But in this case it's a family name and a common name too so I don't know why people are so bothered. It's nice when so many family members want to name their children after you. And Lawson is called by his middle name so it's possible they might call their child by his middle name or another nickname.

For example my oldest niece is named Rae Jean, which is a beautiful combination of both of her parents middle names; when she grew up and married Bobby Hendricks and had her first baby girl, they named her Bobbie Jean; which ironically was her dad's name and her maternal grandfather's first name. Rae Jean later had another another beautiful baby girl named Gracie Rae which was her mommy's first name. My paternal grandpa was named Clifton Wilson or Cliff or C W, they later had a son they named C W.
