My sister was 30 when she married. She was so lonely for so long. Sadly, finding a good Christian man nowadays is not an easy task. We prayed for years that God would send the right man into her life. When she was 29, my parents had our old furnace and duct work replaced. It took a couple of days to complete the job. My sister was friendly with the installers. On the last day of the job, one of them asked her out. They hit it off right away. A few months later, my sister and her boyfriend brought his parents over for a dinner with my parents. His mom hugged our mom and cried a little bit. Their family had been praying for years that God would send a decent Christian woman into their son’s life. It was an answered prayer for everyone. Almost sixteen years later, they are still happily married and have two terrific children. God is good!

@Nehor-90BChardly! And people need to understand what the word “narcissistic” actually means. J & J I have been following the Duggar family and I love seeing all the updates. So happy for Jana she looked amazing and so happy! God Bless your family ❤
Ii is such a joy to "sit" with the two of you, sharing memories, giving the LORD credit for His love and guidance; thank you for letting us be a part of your life!
I was married when I was 18 years old . 45 people very intimate married for 42 years the best years of my life . Congratulations. To Jana & Steven . ❤❤
Congratulations, Jana and Stephen!! Many happy years ahead for both of you!! My husband and I have been married for 41 years. We had a small wedding, and the one thing we both incorporated in our wedding service was taking our first communion together as husband and wife. That was very special to the both of us!!
Our wedding was very small; just 75 people. It was also very sweet, but even so, we weren’t able to spend time with every person. I don’t think weddings are designed to be able to do that! The thing I remember is a friend told me to take snapshots in my mind of special moments during the day. I did, and those are the moments I remember now, 35 years later. They’re especially sweet to me now because I lost my husband to cancer five years ago-too soon. I cherish those memories. I’m so very happy for Jana and Stephen! Jana looked beautiful and very, very happy! You could feel the love and happiness emanating from inside both of them!
Watching all the Duggar girls get married and figure how who they are has been such a joy. Congratulations to Jana. She has truly been an example of what it means to love Christ first. Keep sharing your stories, J & J. Much love to you both.
Can i just say that Jeremy you made an excellent point in this conversation! I have been waiting patiently praying for the last 2 months about a situation I had at work and TODAY it worked out in my favor! So many times i wanted to say to myself move on it’s not happening but immediately remembered that my faith is bigger than my fear !!! Thank you for the reminder ❤
Jana is very special! She is the total package! She is beautiful and the wisest of all the Duggars❤She is a true example to others! I wish her a life full of health and happiness and countless blessings from God❤
I was VERY encouraged to see Jana get married! I’m a single lady at 32 and it can be very hard to have to keep waiting for God’s timing, especially when Iv seen other friends and family get married and start families. I know it will happen for me and seeing it happen for her gave me hope! ❤️ plus it was such a gorgeous wedding!!! So happy for Jana!!!
❤❤❤❤We love Jana!!!! She's such a beautiful, inside and out, soul. I have followed her for years and longed to see her get married. She feels like a siblings. Jana may God continue to bless your union for all eternity. Blessings in abundance ❤❤❤🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤❤❤❤🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I can relate to Jana’s story so much… I married later than I wanted despite my best efforts to prepare my heart and life for the man God had for me. His timing is perfect. I was not truly ready to be married at the age I would have preferred, and God was simultaneously preparing my now-husband (who is 7 years older than me and didn’t become a Christian until his late 20’s) for our relationship. I always tell people that if we had met even 3 months sooner, it wouldn’t have worked. But it is a huge blessing that it is SO WORTH IT to patiently wait on God and keep moving forward with life while you wait. Don’t be passive (a husband will not sprout out of your living room floor) but also don’t panic or force things that aren’t meant to be. That lesson is serving us now as we are trying to expand our family, and it is taking longer than we expected and may require an alternative route. We are, once again, patiently waiting on the Lord while taking a proactive step forward one day at a time ❤
@@user-vg8ez9cu6u His best is always best 🙂 Isn’t it crazy how you feel like “the only one” when in reality there are so many people struggling with the same thing??
Thank you for sharing this. I'm almost 62 and still waiting on the Lord. I can honestly say I never was upset about not getting married. I always wanted babies, but God knew I never really wanted a husband.😊
I was married once for five years and after we got divorced, I find that I’m so much happier being by myself doing my own thing. My daughter moved in with me a year ago, and I enjoy her company though
I guess some people are not meant to be married but for me that would be sad. I’ve been married for 25 years and we have two girls who are just the finest thing we ever seen😆! We are born again believers in our Lord Jesus Christ so we do not follow the Duggars teachings but both our girls live at home but both are engaged. The oldest is 24 the baby is 21. We don’t approve of shacking up. The older we get the more grateful we are for our girls. They are everything to us❤️
Marriage isn't for everyone and some who are married wish they weren't. Children are a blessing but come with a huge responsibility for ever! Life is so tough and draining, it's sometimes hard to rejoice in the goodness of God 😢
I just got married at the age of 45! Long wait but God is amazing and brought the perfect man for me into my life! We actually planned things specifically for our guests at the wedding. One being everything was at the same location. We greeted each guest after the wedding then had everyone go to the reception and eat whie we got pictures. This way they weren't starved waiting on us and they were entertained. We didn't eat until after almost everyone left and things were being cleaned up. Also we had filled and plain cupcakes, brownie bites and personal cheesecake.
❤I screamed/cried when I found out Jana got married..I was so happy she finally found her prince charming..but why was it such a huge secret? Everyone else got to tell the world but hers was hush hush.❤I'm so happy she finally got her dream come true❤
I'm 42 and STILL not married. My time might come... or it might not. I will be gracious either way. My mother threw me a surprise party for my 40th, I was gracious that night, I made a point of greeting everyone and thanking them individually for coming.
I married at 58! My husband was well worth the wait. I am in awe of the blessing God has given me with this man. I wasn't even looking any longer and had long since quit praying for a husband. God knew all along when the time would be though. ❤️🙏
I did not get married until I was 42. I really never wanted to be married so I wasn’t really looking or “waiting for the one.” Then, out of the blue, “the one” appeared. Three months later we were married. We drove from Kansas to Las Vegas, got married, and drove back. We were in Las Vegas for exactly 13 hours. It was a 22-hour drive…each way. We just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary. You never know what lies ahead in life.
Thank you 2 for sharing a little glimpse into Jana and Steven's wedding. Im so so happy for them. I know they will build an incredible life together. I really enjoy yalls podcasts. Hello from northwest Alabama.
Love that idea that the wedding day is that first opportunity to serve others together. And journaling the moments around this event and to lock it in - so good... LOVE that you made Jana's and Stephen's first day an entire podcast because I'm soooo happy to know that Jana and her husband are now just beginning to share the rest of their lives as one. So special! Love your podcast btw🤍
My wedding was super simple, only close family,no reception and just ate chipotle at our new place together and went on to our honeymoon,it's so special no matter how you do it❤
I was about to turn 30 as was my hubby when we tied the knot. I had a miscarriage before finally having my son at nearly 33. Then I didn't get pregnant again till 36 and had my daughter the day after I turned 37! I felt very life experienced and it's kind of cool being an older mom when you've lived life first. I wish your sister much happiness in whatever she chooses to do. It's HER life to live!😊
Oh yes! All of us who have followed your family for years & prayed for Jana & watched her beautiful caring spirit with the rest of her siblings-(particularly as many got married) are shedding tears of joy❣️ Just listening to this wonderful discussion of her wedding brings tears….thank you Jesus ❤️🙏
I loved what you said about serving your guests at your wedding. When a bride is trying to pursue perfection in herself and perfection in her plans it often leads to disappointment. Better to focus on the joy of being with others that came for you.
I always wanted a big fancy wedding, but got the opposite and am so grateful the Lord knew what I wanted more than even I did. Our wedding had 25 people at the ceremony, it was planned in 3 weeks (we got married 4 months after meeting), my wedding dress was a satin white skirt suit bought second hand, and we got dollar store party favours for the ceremony. The dinner had a few more people, maybe 30 people, and it was a potluck. Our wedding was so small, so intimate, we had time to really celebrate and talk to those we loved the most. I am so glad we had the wedding we did. Oh, and we have been married 20 years, and I look back with the fondest of memories when I think about our wedding and the people there and the fun we had.
Love that y'all shared all of this with us. I can't believe how much y'all did that we had no idea about watching the show. People do crazy things for celebrity photos. That is so sad for y'all.
Love your Podcast first of all. Very happy for Jana...and excited to see she has a channel and hopefully will be showing us what she is up to creating with her projects. I did not get married until I was 30, one month from 31. As a matter of fact Sept. 2 was our 35th Wedding Anniversary! Praying for y'all and your family.
I loved this podcast so much! So excited for Jana and Stephan and wish them many blessings! Jeremy you are so great at the questions. It would be fun to see the tables turned and Jinger ask you questions
I am so happy for Jana! She was a stunning bride, seriously. I love that it was a surprise to the public. Unless I just missed it LOL. They got their beautiful moments without a lot of chaos. I'm so happy for all the family for the celebration and precious time together. Sweet times.
So happy for Jana and and Stephen! I was just about 34 also when I married my husband who was less then a month from 37 years old in 1993. Today is our 31st Wedding Anniversary and I can't believe we have been married 31 years. Time flies by so fast. Wish many blessings for Jana and Stephen for many years to come. Really enjoy your podcast. You both have very interesting conversations. Thank you and God bless!
thank you for sharing that. I'm glad Jana got to have her wedding without having to think of being filmed for the show. Though getting to have the old crew there as guests I'm sure was very special. Yes, after that 6 month time, having them on your podcast would be really good. Between now and then you can plan a Q&A. Your book talked about how single women in the Bill Gothard world were basically under "the umbrella of authority" until they got married........not sure if there was one who stayed there long enough to wonder what would happen after parents die? Jana may not be ready for that, but with the progression of wearing pants and shorts, seemingly travelling alone, moving into a "tiny house", I thought it would be nice to hear from her. And from Stephen as well.
Really enjoyed hearing all the wedding details and memories! One of my fav episodes! So happy for Jana and that you all had some wonderful family time together. Thanks for sharing.
So fun hearing you reminisce about your wedding! Your wedding was so beautiful--your dress, Miss Cindy's decor, the bridesmaid dresses, Come Thou Fount, Jeremy's sweet father--all of it! Hands down best Duggar wedding.
I definitely needed to hear that from Jeremy that my (potential) wedding isn’t about me, it’s about serving others, keeping my eyes off of myself but on my guests
Jeremy and Jinger, I loved this episode! So many fans of the show were ecstatic to find out about Jana’s marriage to Stephen. It’s was nice to hear the inside scoop from family that were at the wedding. So special to hear about it. May they be blessed!

So happy for Jana! She was stunning that day! My daughter and I have watched your shows since she was able to understand ( she is 14 now) and she would always say, "Man when is it going to be Jana's turn???" Well when I got the headline, I ran to her and told her and she almost cried! So sweet. She said OH MY GOSH, Mom I am so happy for her!!!
I'm so happy for your sister! Duggar weddings sound so fun and BIG. My hubby and I will celebrate 18 years this year. We do not have large families and only had 60 people at our wedding. I couldn't imagine 1200!
So glad you talked about Jana's wedding! You all did so well keeping it under wraps. It was such a beautiful wedding and to see all the joy and happiness for those who have followed your family from the beginning. I am over the moon happy for Jana and Stephen. Blessings to you and your beautiful family. 😊
My husband and I met at work. I am 8 years older. He was infatuated, evidently, but I thought we were friends. We became inseparable and started dating. Three years later we got married and held our reception in my sister's backyard under a big, beautiful tent. We had a small wedding - 50 people - because we wanted only those people that really meant something to us. Thirty-one years - and counting - later, we wouldn't have done anything different. I am not an outwardly religious person - I feel one's religion is personal. That said, God is definitely Good!
I absolutely love hearing from you guys. You both are such blessings to each other and to others. Keep blessing us all with your blessings and love for the Lord ❤
Where I'm from it is the norm that weddings are no kids unless you're related. Or unless you are breastfeeding and need to bring the baby, but even then it is not very common. WE also dont do rehearsal dinner. But the night before it's becoming more common to have a cocktail or something more casual to gather all of the young people so they meet before the wedding. This is great if you have different groups of friends who dont know each other. It makes the wedding day go smoother because they hanged out and broke the ice the day before. WE call it "preboda" which means pre wedding in Spanish
Jana deserve every bit of happiness she waited the longest being there for everybody else. She was so patient and finally it her turn. Wish her all the best.
LOVE this commentary!!!! Everything yall talked about was so interesting. So cool to hear about those details about your wedding that I never heard about! Thanks for sharing!
I’m married 33 years. We had 19 people. It was about us and not a show. It’s nice I guess if you have that type of money. Jana deserves the very best! I still look fondly of our tiny wedding.
So happy for Jana and Stephen! Jana finally found her person for her husband!😊 congratulations to them both😊 I loved hearing Evelyn's and her sister's experience with being in a wedding, being able to be a flower girl at their wedding 💒
Thank you for remembering your wedding, and talking about Jana & Stephen. My Mom & I have watched the Duggar family on TV for years & aside from being happy for all the siblings getting married, we were sad & praying for Jana to find God's match for her. It sounds like they found God's plan for each other & love seeing this answer to prayer!! I look forward to seeing more pics & would love a video somehow ;)

I know Jana’s wedding is over … but if you ever are looking for a inexpensive rehearsal dinner idea - here is one that was a huge hit for my son (and daughter in law) wedding. As you entered the rehearsal dinner venue - there was a table with a vase of roses on it (along with a picture of the bride and groom). At the bride and groom table was an empty vase. At an appointed time during the evening … one at a time … individuals were pre-selected to get up and take a rose out of the vase of roses and present it to the couple and tell them what made a successful marriage. It could be spiritual, comical, philosophical. Then after the twelve roses have been presented to the bride and groom - the bride could use the rose petals in the flower girl baskets (and walk thru the well wishes or wisdom wishes) or the bride could take the petals and have the put in a candle. But the idea brought laughter and tears and was very well received.
I am so stinkin Happy for Jana, I had been praying that the right Godly man would come into her life at the right time. God is so good! I feel this was just a huge testimony for a lot of people and what a Blessing it has been to watch it unfold! Jana deserves nothing but the best! Thanks for sharing! I follow Jana too.
I literally took a drink right has Jeremy said the wedding with tiny people and almost choked 😂😂 so funny
Are you in the real world? 75 isn’t small for most people.
I like how she didn’t marry the first guy that came along !
It is nice to see a podcast like this just being so happy and supportive of Jana and Stephens marriage , and of family in general that is special!
Congratulations to Janna and Stephen! I wish them a long beautiful life together!
We are, once again, patiently waiting on the Lord while taking a proactive step forward one day at a time ❤
Literally in the same boat as you. Struggling through IVF. Hoping for God's best!
They are everything to us❤️
@@tarashelton493 That's awesome! Thank you for sharing this. It does my heart good to see long marriages.
They are private people
I'm really enjoying your podcasts and your positivity. Your helping guide me back to a Christian life. Thank you for all you do. 😊
@@zoompatrol That gives me a glimmer of hope. I’m 54.
@@karenmonigold3138 Absolutely keep the hope! Your husband is out there and he will arrive in God's timing. I am so thankful I waited on God. 🙏❤️
Congratulations to Jana on her wedding. I’m so happy for her.🎉😊❤💕
Love that idea that the wedding day is that first opportunity to serve others together.
We had around 350 people and it was considered HUGE back then! Our church was packed! 1999 seems like so long ago!! Congratulations to Jana!!!
I love how genuinely happy everyone is for her. Your tears say a lot 🥰 I am so glad she found her person ❤
I loved this podcast so much! So excited for Jana and Stephan and wish them many blessings! Jeremy you are so great at the questions. It would be fun to see the tables turned and Jinger ask you questions
Watching and listening to you two is so soothing. Thank you for sharing your life. ❤
Fabulous news, keeping you all in prayer
I'm so happy for her! Yes!
thank you for sharing that.
This was so lovely to hear about, thank you for sharing your sweet stories. Gods Blessings to all of you! ❤️☝️♥️
I loved watching your wedding! Jinger, your dress was amazing!
You could definitely fill your love for each other through the screen.
I’m so happy to hear these great stories of the time you got to spend with family.
I’m so happy for Jana and Stephen. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jana looked beautiful! Her gown was simple and elegant. She was beaming! I wish her and Stephen a long and happy marriage. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Jinger and Jeremy for your podcast! Jinger, you are so sweet and have always been my favorite! 🥰
Love that y'all are posting again. Such a great episode
So glad you talked about Jana's wedding! You all did so well keeping it under wraps. It was such a beautiful wedding and to see all the joy and happiness for those who have followed your family from the beginning. I am over the moon happy for Jana and Stephen. She is such a Proverbs 31 woman. I really enjoyed your podcast today.
So happy for Jana & her husband.
So nice to hearing these wedding memories! Thank you both for sharing!
I have definitely been following along Jana’s journey and praying for this day for her. Wow. Definitely worth the wait for such an incredible couple 🙌🏼🤍
I love Jana ❤ she’s a true example of trusting Gods plan.
So happy for Jana and Stephen, there is beauty in the wait, God bless them both!
Awww, I'm so happy that Jana was so happy on her big day! All the best to Jana and Stephen!
Congratulations to Jana. She is a blessing! Enjoyed your podcast as you reminisced about your wedding. My husband and I are celebrating our 50th on Saturday, the 7th of September, so I have been looking at photos and our video! We are blessed! 🎉🙏🏼💖🫠
Thank you for sharing your videos.
We are all so happy for Jana and it was so beautiful to see how happy her sisters were for her was very genuine
I love this so much! Congratulations to Jana and her new husband,Steven. So happy for her. It was baby season for us this Summer. Which is exciting, too ❤
Thanks so much for sharing about Jana’s & Stephen’s special day . What a beautiful wedding it was . I also appreciated your sharing about her waiting patiently on The Lords timing. Gods timing is always perfect 😊Blessings to you all from NZ 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing!
I'm so happy for Jana 🙏💖
Shout out to Jeremy for wearing a Phillies hat! Born and raised in Philly! Live in NJ now but still a Phillies fan!
Love your podcast. Always thought provoking.
Lol! First thing I noticed.
My youngest Son is in the season of waitng & trusting on the Lord to send his Bride. Its not always easy to watch your love wait while their siblings & peers are getting what they want to do as well. I'm praying for my future Daughter-in-law & GODS will in my precious Sons life as he waits & at this time it is hard witnessing all his friends getting married🙏🏼💕 Thank you to you both for setting good examples for folks your age or younger in the waiting process🙏🏼
Congratulations Jana!!! So happy for you!!!😊❤
I enjoy your podcasts. You two are killing it. Adorable couple. Love your entire family. ❤
Jana's pictures are so beautiful! I'm glad you got to spend time with your family, Jessa.
Now that Jana lives near Lincoln, NE and guaranteed you all will visit, just an hour away from where Jana and Stephen will be living is the Omaha Zoo which is the best zoo in the world and I know you all would enjoy it with the girls. This is coming from someone who used to live in Nebraska.
Agree! That zoo is the best. Take your kids. You all will love it.
Super Happy For Jana ❤❤❤ I think her Timeline is different than most of her sibling but it jus shows that life isnt always cookie cutter and her wait was totally worth it. She seemed super supportive of all her younger siblings and its jus amazing to see its her day ❤❤❤❤
I know Jana’s wedding is over … but if you ever are looking for a inexpensive rehearsal dinner idea - here is one that was a huge hit for my son (and daughter in law) wedding.
So happy for Jana and Stephen and wishing them the very best . Very enjoyable podcast. Thank you.
I'm here to celebrate Jana's wedding as well. Oh how beautiful your sister looked 😍 We're so happy for her! God bless Jana and Stephen 🙏🏽
I was wondering when y'all would talk about it. I'm so thrilled for Jana and Stephen!
I follow the two of you, Jana & Jessa and then A handful of the Dugger's it so fun to see what you are all up to. I had watched all of you for many years.
The wedding looked absolutely magical and everyone, the world over was so excited for Jana ! Part of the excitement was because no one knew she was even dating or who it was until the wedding day
This couple is so sweet. I find it ironic that they are one of my favorite UA-camrs and I'm Pagan to the core. Blessed Be Jeremy and Jinger
Big Bear is beautiful. You two seem to be true companions. May Jana and Stephen have a life abundantly blessed.
When you are talking about crying or not crying at Jannas wedding....i had goosebumps
So happy for Jana! I prayed for her to find the right guy. So inspiring for us single girls.
Y’all graciously allowed for me to be in attendance at your wedding. One of the biggest weddings I’ve ever attended. But overall was beautiful, holy and sacred.
