  • What’s going on friends? Hope you all are doing well. This is one of the tools that I’ve been wanting to have for a while. Bought it cheap and it's in good working condition now. I have lots of plans for it. I hope this disassembly and reassembly is helpful to you. Cheers. 🍻
    Any questions... Hit me up.

Great video but here's the easy way to remove the old belt and install a new belt. I saw my Dad do this nearly 50 years ago and I still use the sander. Hold the sander on end and push the front wheel straight down on a workbench and the wheel will lock into place. The old belt slides off easily and the new belt slips on easily . Then align the belt and snap the wheel release then tighten the screw.

Thank you for explaining that to me. It made it easier. I don’t use mine much. Trying to keep it clean for my collection. Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.

Nice job, I have a Craftsman Hand Planer I need to do this to. I see there are lot of parts. The sander looks really good it shined up nice. It should give you a lot of service.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. It does have lot of parts, but I’m glad that they used mostly similar screws for most part of this tool, which made it much easier for me. I’m glad i got this find. Always needed one. Thank you for watching.

Looks like new. I am finishing my 315.22670. I cant find the gear cover gasket anywhere. I noticed you did not use one?

Thank you. Very nice on your project. I didn’t use the gear cover gasket temporarily. I didn’t have anything for it at the moment. So I put the tool aside for now until I make one for it. It think it is necessary to use one. Thank you for watching and have fun with your project.
