wow what smart arsed remarks some of you made. If you don't like the video just don't watch it. What makes you others think he had to fake restoring these old tools and lock? Things get old and some are still being made today. This person is just doing what he has a passion for, it's not so you can be a jerk and belittle them. Grow up. Now that I am done with that, you did a mighty fine job restoring these items and I look for to watching others.
The manipulation of the padlock is not a restoration video. This is not how restoration is performed. That is not an antique lock. This is a theatrical production for entertainment purposes. It is perfectly fine to enjoy watching it and also to make fun of it as the ridiculous antics of clowns.

@@drcurioustube Curious, are you saying the grime, mud, dirt, rust and damages are not real or that it was intentionally distroyed somehow to produce a restoration of it for entertainment purposes? I don't know if it was an antique or not but a resotration. Are you saying this was a fake restoration and the products used are not restoration products? Truely trying to understand your view/perspective.
@@thepassportvisacompany9062 Yes, in this case the corrosion, etc., was inflicted by the producers of the video, and the restoration was more of a joke. The lock is not an antique, it is a modern piece of junk so the "restoration" was not done properly. The restorations of other objects appear to be done more seriously.

Great before & after on lock. I noticed a few grumpy comments. Your vids demonstrate different restoration techniques. It’s not supposed to be a How To Guide. I guess people don’t get these type of items come from clients or contacts you have in the business. Not that you found the object somewhere on the ground or curbside….keep up the great work! Too many just throw this stuff away!

There was something small locked up in the lock... the lock was wrapped, the wrap was wired to the lock, and the key was wired in place in the lock position. I wonder what got away.

a total restoration on that drill would mean bending the arrow hands back to shape and the nut hut a burr on it,the lock was amazing!!! the last drill had some cotton packing in the chuck head that was'nt replaced,other then that great job.

Нельзя было этот замок брать вообще в руки. Скорее всего на этот замок был сделан ритуал ( болезнь, проблемы, порча). Человек, который совершает такой ритуал закрывает все свои проблемы на замок, обматывает проволокой и закапывает в землю, либо кидают в воду. Нашедшему такой замок, могут появится серьёзные проблемы в жизни.
