I’m going to need to try a couple of those Farmertec discounted Maxflow oiled foam kits to try after having gotten a good six months of working with the g660 builder… I’m a Husqvarna 395 guy for life and I’ve been playing around with a 066 for 20 years and I wasn’t a fan because of the air filter system or the lack of a system that reduces that needing to tap out often. That’s reduced with the maxflow filter and they are catching everything even that super fine stuff!
Yes sir I've been very pleased with it. Works way etter than I thought it would and fingers crossed, but nothing in the air horn yet, clean as a whistle.
Does the high idle work now with the Walbro carb? I had to change the multi function switch and trigger with OEM. Now works like it’s supposed to. Thanks to Walt. Love the 660 clones.
Mine tuned fairly nice with the stock HLIC carb. The high jet had to be about all the way in tho, they have an enrichment circuit that bypasses the jet on the high side, so they run a bit on the rich side but still pretty nice. But I have herd they can be a PITA. They either work great or not at all. Hope this answers your question. If not funny hesitate to ask. 👍🏻
Honestly I haven't ran it enough to tell a difference. But I will say that is a good thing I guess, right out the gate the 2 seem about the same, with that said now, the "Walbro" does have a better throttle feel on the finger and starts easier.
I always watch the video start to finish if i sub to ya good info from a good builder an a good dude!.

Nice G660! Just curious with the max flow air cleaner is there a noticeable increase in power over the stock air cleaner?

Nah, FT still hasn't got that one down yet. Luckily it starts very easy without it.
