How did you all feel when Jared turned down the lights and proceeded to lie to you directly while keeping a straight face? Honestly made me chuckle on the spot lol. for those that dont know or dont remember, their excuse as to why the med bed respawn mechanic changed or reverted is total bs. If the lower tier beds were always meant to respawn, just at shorter ranges, then why was the ability taken away from the Cutlass Red??? Well I'll tell you why and its because the Carrack entered the game. So Jared saying that Rich and team always intended it to be this way is BS. Purely a money grab and just more proof, even tho John Crewe has already flat out stated it, that the marketing dept. runs the show.
Yeah, whether or not Crewe's statement was an accidental slip or he said it with purpose, but I do remember the RSI-Apollo Q&A roundtable years ago where he said, and I'm paraphrasing "that's for the marketing department to decide" when they were asked about what kind of beds would fit in the thing.

It was the worst Q&A ever. There were so good questions and none were answered..then why ask the community. Total BS.
Yea it's almost like people saying they should stop throwing ships onto the store with no planning were right. Lots of people want more, more, more, features and I do too but this obviously just leads to reworks.
The idea they "don't wanna do that" anymore as far as introducing a ship without its unique feature working is disgusting considering we have multiple ships in the game for almost a decade still missing their features that even have some commonality amongst them.
So am I getting this right, cause certainly I read chatter elsewhere just now that it is so, that they haven't answered a single question from the Spectrum Q&A thread?

Ok, fair. But they had leaked that three months ago. Never considered that as new news personally.
It seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot with a LOT of rework as they build stuff and have to constantly rework them for new features, etc. I get there are new ideas that would be cool to realize in game, but their workflow is not built to be dynamic and adjust quickly to new ideas.

This is exactly why you don't build art assets before you build, test and implement your game mechanics that will underpin your features. This also highlights how crucial it is to stick to a scope for your game and stay within it. At this rate their backlog of stuff to rework is growing exponentially faster than their ability to get work done.

Isn't MRSA one of the infections that is known to be acquired within medical facilities. Though rare, but still a concern.
And here we have a medical rover, expected to use as a mobile full medical facility, that is maintained by players who can't even dispose of a med gown or other articles properly.

Look up the history of the game 'Freelancer' and his involvement in that project.....you'll be surprised to learn what went down there.
Don't forget to add interns to half ass different colored skins for the ship so they can sell those when they promised custom ship painting mod tools.
It feels like the ships team is like 6 months to a year into Star Citizen development- the fact they are this green and just figuring out an actual system for making ships is so concerning. What a fucking joke.
The turnover is high because they flee the Roberts' mangement style and CIG's chaotic culture.
How big is the ship team? I remember they said they have a pipeline and more ppl from that web company they bought.
They literally said in the live show that they've got 80 people alone working on the Polaris. That's supposed to be half of their UK ship team. Plus all of the other 10 announced ships they're trying to get out for this year, as well as the unannounced ships and variants.

The bed spawn during an alpha as just a QOL thing just seems nice. We can worry about all that other shit later. I am all for time saving in a game test environment. Also. Dont spend money. Dont understand why anyone would complain about the med bed changes.

Im not really defending anyone. Less time wasting is better for any game. Especially one that isnt even past testing. What the difference in spawning close. You still can have the penalty of death you juat dont have to waste tons of time backtracking.
Is it money grabbin? Probably. They have a model that works and is funding thier development. Cant imagine them going back on it. Just dont spend money on it if you dont like it. Its really the only way to get the point across.

The change has happened just as one of the sales events started, and on day one they are selling a medical vehicle.
In the past they sold specific medical ships on the back of “this ship is better because it has a tier 1 medical bed that will allow regen in the future”
