I have been doing 10 reps on a warmup set and THEN sitting in the bottom for 15". If I tried to sit in the bottom on the first rep like you suggested, I feel like my muscles aren't ready. Thoughts?

Holding it at the bottom isn’t the problem. It’s just before the bottom. Also even at the bottom my back is rounded. Even when I’m holding a pole. And I can’t stand up from it without shooting my hips up first and my upper body forward and hinging up. In other words it’s not a mobility issue. It’s a strength issue. I can’t get up so my body won’t let me go down. How do I strengthen the hips and feet and engage the glutes and hamstrings in that deep flexed position to push up?
My knees really hurting doing this deep squats, only after a lot of warmup sets do they start to feel better, but still with some light pain. What should I do?
If you add weight to any kind of extreme range of motion exercise, it's easy to strain tendons/ligaments/connective tissue. Do mobility exercises unweighted or very slowly and deliberately. Don't bounce or explode out of the hole like you would a normal weighted squat.
@@bodhi9856 yeah but its fixable unless hes got a bad injury so a full ROM squat would be something to work toward while doing a different movement until squats are possible
Is the bottom position safe? As in you will get butt wink 😉 😜 going that low. I love to squat all the way bit hear that under load the butt wink 😉 is hard on your lumbar spine

Butt wink is a flexibility issue so itd be something you could tackle at the same time imo.
Butt wink depends on your hip socket depth, take wide stance
