    My coach has me doing this, as someone with hip issues all my life, multiple surgeries. I’m now squatting 400 in competition with depth, game changer

      Butt wink is a flexibility issue so itd be something you could tackle at the same time imo.

      Butt wink depends on your hip socket depth, take wide stance

      Ankle mobility and hip mobility maybe. I elevate my heels and do his hip opening exercises. Works well for me. Ankle mobility is still work in progress

    I honestly need this and that banded hip mobility thing but I always put it off. My squat could be lower. I usually do the "powerlifter 90°"

    Can easily get that low, but my knees sound like gravel going up stairs after sitting in this position for 5-10 minutes.

    Ive been training ass to grass squat. I don't do 5" holds, but I certainly will. I warmup with single leg and then do partials in the lower half of my rom. I've been really strengthening my hip flexors this way and can truly ass-to-grass 175lb

    I have been doing 10 reps on a warmup set and THEN sitting in the bottom for 15". If I tried to sit in the bottom on the first rep like you suggested, I feel like my muscles aren't ready. Thoughts?

    Holding it at the bottom isn’t the problem. It’s just before the bottom. Also even at the bottom my back is rounded. Even when I’m holding a pole. And I can’t stand up from it without shooting my hips up first and my upper body forward and hinging up. In other words it’s not a mobility issue. It’s a strength issue. I can’t get up so my body won’t let me go down. How do I strengthen the hips and feet and engage the glutes and hamstrings in that deep flexed position to push up?

    My knees really hurting doing this deep squats, only after a lot of warmup sets do they start to feel better, but still with some light pain. What should I do?

      work on hip mobility, and engage your glutes more, probably putting too much stress on the knees and quads

      If you add weight to any kind of extreme range of motion exercise, it's easy to strain tendons/ligaments/connective tissue. Do mobility exercises unweighted or very slowly and deliberately. Don't bounce or explode out of the hole like you would a normal weighted squat.

      @@bodhi9856 yeah but its fixable unless hes got a bad injury so a full ROM squat would be something to work toward while doing a different movement until squats are possible

    Is the bottom position safe? As in you will get butt wink 😉 😜 going that low. I love to squat all the way bit hear that under load the butt wink 😉 is hard on your lumbar spine

    I tried sitting squats for longer as long I could. I managed 3 mins but the moment I tried squatting back up it was difficult and I felt like I was going to pass out
    What causes this and how do you stop it? 'Asian squats' are supposed to be a substitute to sitting down without a chair, I.e effortless, but for me it's still a workout

    When you're trying to get more mobility and flexibility so you look online but everyone just tells you to do a deep squat stretch....
    Despite the whole issue being that you can't do a deep squat in the first place 😂😂😂😂

But worst part is when you get splashed from down when 💩 hits water if you forget to make toilet paper silencer 🤣
