Bagel Recipe 🥯🧡 Ingredients: 500 g flour 1 package (about 7 g) of yeast (or half of a cube of fresh yeast) 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons salt 100 ml milk 170 ml warm water 2 tablespoons cooking oil 1 egg (to glaze) Seeds of your choice for the topping Mix the flour with the yeast and then add sugar, salt, milk, warm water and oil and knead for at least 5-7 minutes. Then let it rise in a covered bowl for 60 minutes, form 8 bagels out of the dough and place them on a parchment lined baking tray and wait for another 30 minutes. Then preheat the oven (200 degrees celcius) and bring some water to boil in a pot. Place 1-2 bagels in the water at a time and boil for 1 minute (30 seconds on each side). After that place them back on the baking tray, brush the bagels with the egg and sprinkle with your chosen seeds. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Have a nice day everyone and enjoy your bagels when you try out the recipe!💛🥯☀️
A little teaching: The new machine is a planer, like airplane, not planner, like being organized. It is called this because it is making the board consistently the same width, or plane. Also, if you want to know you have developing fertilized eggs, you can "candle" them to see what is inside. Use a flashlight, in the dark, and put the light right up to the egg. you will see if there is something other than a yoke this way. One more thing. work with the chicken in the dark when she is half asleep. She will not attack then.

Incredible house 🎉 I remember when....it doesn't seem that long ago that it wasn't even enclosed! Rodrigo-- we are all so proud of you and happy that you have been blessed with Freddy
Rodrigos the builder and Freddie’s the finisher, perfect to have both strengths to get the job done. Literally one step at a time. Freddie don’t forget to pin that bagel recipe!!! ❤😋
You and Freddie are doing a lovely job on your home! I LOVE the wood accents! Your home is going to be so beautiful once you’re done. Good idea putting that air collar on Lola so that you can find her anytime you need to. Smart move!💕
You two are an amazing couple. Work so well together as a team. Because of that the steps came out looking great! Freddie your bagels looked so great and I almost could smell the onion and whatever you put on them yummy! LOL. Loved Roger helping to scout the farm at night excellent watch cat LOL! Also the dogs drinking water in the morning and then grooming one and each other. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. So until the next one be safe and prosper.
You need to build an enclosed chicken coop where other animals can’t get to the chickens. Totally enclosed area where they are out and at night enclosed housing
Good evening in the evening from California! Looks like you’re making great progress on the stairs. The house is coming along quite nice. I hope it works out with the egg swap and you have little chicks soon. I know it’s a lot of hard work, but you both are doing amazing on the farm!
The bagels look sooo delicious. Yes, I would like you to post the recipe. Also, may I suggest raising the oven rack to the middle. The bottom position is always the hottest. Moving the rack will hopefully avoid them from getting too brown. Also, the stair treds look absolutely awesome. The stain color is perfect. Rodrigo, your woodworking is spectacular. The vertical wood railing looks great. You're the man!!!
Just an idea, a large pavilion would be a good build for the farm, with Jordan’s help of course. It could be used as a safe dry workspace for all during the rain, then once you guys are all done with the major building projects it can be transformed into an outdoor living space for everyone. It would also provide more rain capture space for any additional water needs.
When Jordan’s new house is done the workshop space Jordan and his wife and child are temporarily using as a house will go then go back to being a very large indoor workshop. Open pavilions in high wind areas do not work very good. They tend to loose the roofs.
Your chicken pecks because she is broody. All you need to do is place the eggs around her and she will roll them under her. It will not harm her to leave the old eggs under her, but you can learn to reach under near the back of her to lift her up. Or watch for when she is up to eat and then remove old eggs and put in new marked eggs. This will increase your production and the broody hen will sit on a lot of eggs for you for a long time. You need to put a dot of color with a marker when you put eggs in with a broody hen. This will help you keep up with their hatching dates on the calendar. Also, you need to handle the eggs properly and not roll them, turn them upside down or store them with the air space down. You can use the light on your phone , then sit it under the eggs in a dark room. You can see veins, a fetus, a heartbeat and fetal movement in there or if no chick you will see a large yellow empty space. There are really great videos on UA-cam for candling your eggs, and for general care of them. You could also invest in an inexpensive incubator to increase your flock.
Staircase rails look good. I actually liked your wide long ones you replaced. Both nice. Keep up awesome work, i love your way of figuring ways to fix that not norm love it.😊😊
Freddie i hope you will share the begal recipe! And the humus recipe too!! Sounds wonderful. 😊 you two are doing such a great job on the house. Enjoying every episode! ❤
Thanks a lot! 🤗❤️ I pinned a comment with the bagel recipe and for the hummus I just blend canned chickpeas with some salt, pepper, cumin, lime or lemon, garlic and olive oil 😊
Wow! At 5:39 it shows how steep it is behind the house. The camera angle puts the words into perspective quite well here. Now I understand the struggles of climbing back up from the natural spring water location where you pump spring water up the mountain to your house! Thank you for taking us along on your journey. It's a beautiful journey and I'm proud of all you both have accomplished. 👏 💜
I have been watching you from the very first and I can't believe how far you have come. I just wanted to say how proud I am of you even though you don't know me. I am so happy you found Freddie too. Love watching you both. Sending you both love and hugs.
I had an idea to help protect the chickens. A single goose in the flock will serve as an alarm and guard for the flock. There is another bird that will serve as protection but not as loud as the goose, Guineahen. I don’t know if you would have them in your area.
I just love your home! Each project you do just adds to its warmth and beauty. The best part is seeing how you work together with humor and encouragement.
The steps look fabulous, well done you do make a really great team., also very hard workers. The bagels look yummy, it would be nice to have your recipe. 🙏🏻🤗🥰
It is so fun to make bagels. I made them for my family and we enjoyed them. Glad to see you made them; they look very delicious. The Cashew wood stair steps are so beautiful. Love how you are warming up the inside with wood. I'm with you Rodrjigo - Wood is wonderful to work with. I enjoyed working in my Dad's woodshop. He would put me to sanding the wood to a glass-like smoothness. He also showed me how to get a hand-rubbed finish. Miss doing that work. Great job and I know you both have and continue to make a beautiful space to live in.
Rodrigo here is a solution to the wood planner where it blows out the wood shavings place a plastic elbow on it to divert the shavings to either side instead of straight back over the boards you planed. If you also place a straight pipe on the elbow, then a second elbow (elbow, straight pipe elbow) on the pipe you can get it to blow down to the ground and place a bag that will let out the air but catch the shavings you can place the shavings on your garden as fertilizer mulch
Wow the stairs look so great. Love the wood. Well done guys. Look forward to seeing the progress on the railings. Roger scaring you on a misty night with the moon shining was too funny. You guys are great❤️

Yes! I just posted this too. ❤❤❤
I appreciate the clarification for Rodrigo in regards to "planning" versus "planing." This old teacher was going a tad nuts with that.

Same!!!! I have been saying it out loud also! That would be so much easier and way less chances of getting black paint on your newly finished treads!

Your house is turning into a beautiful home. And yes Freddie, I would like your recipe. Thank you.
Install 2 vents on the sophit to allow it to breath. This will help reduce the water that will build up under the top deck.
