Hey guys. Jordan's dad here. You need what's called a barn ladder. It slides on a bar that will be attached to the face of the loft and the ladder's base will be on wheels. Easy peezy.
Have I told you lately how impressed I am by how well you both speak English? That and your very strong work ethic. Roger is sooo handsome, and such a cat. LOL
Add another beam or two. Extend the loft towards the stairs that are coming from ground floor. Build same stairs as below from where you have your sofa. That way it will be safe and won't make you dizzy. Put rails around the front of loft. All the best guys
I was about ready to say the same thing. The downstairs stairs already interrupts the middle floor design. So it only makes sense to add stairs in the vicinity, or add to the original stairs so you can access all three floors.
Don't exactly know how but I think permanent stairs would be best especially if you have to come down during the night to go to the bathroom,a ladder might be hard. I love you all so much, you are so fun to watch!
We call it farmer cheese, though I use vinegar. The separation the chunks are the curds and the yellow liquid is the whey. Whey is great for giving to chickens, watering gardens or even drinking yourself or using in recipes for any "water" additives. . It's high in nutrients. Great stuff.
***IDEA*** extend your top bedroom floor to cover 2/3 or 3/4 of top floor and then build safe diagonal staircase down to living area in front of big window. Its adds significant more sq foot to A frame design that robs usable space.
Not a bad idea, especially since a wardrobe could be added behind the headboard of the bed, between the back wall and the bed. Would be quite nice actually.
Freddie and Rodrigo, build a ladder that is called A BARN DOOR LADDER... IT WILL SLIDE ON A TRACK WITH SMALL WHEELS ON TOP. THIS WAY YOU CAN CLIMB UP WHERE YOU WANT AND SLIDE THE LADDER OFF TO THE SIDE. YOU CAN USE METAL OR WOOD FOR THE LADDER BUT THE TRACK WILL BE MADE OUT OF METAL... THEY WORK VERY WELL IN THE STATE'S. LOOK UP BARN DOORS OR BARN LADDER'S ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Rod, attic stairs you can build into the floor. That you pull down and then during the day you just close it out of sight. During the night, you can leave it open.
Hi lovely Jungle Couple. I had a goat herd . The way you take care of the milk is first milk into a stainless pan that has a cover, as soon as your done milking put the cover on the pan. To keep the milk from fresh from picking up smells that will make it taste bad. Strain the milk . Put in glass jars. Then cool the milk down fast. Don't milk or store the milk in plastic. The milk will pick up the plastic taste. I use to put my jars in an ice bath. Look up some DIY recipes. I made butter, cottage cheese. yogurt, the longer you let the yogurt drain, the sweeter the yogart is. That's how you get Greek yogurt . Do Not through the whey out. It is filled with Vitamins and you can use it in other recipes that call for water or milk. These are great ways to use up all the milk you get from 3 goats. Plus you can drink it. I raised 3 children on goat milk and sold it to families who's babies couldn't drink cow milk. I enjoy your videos. I've followed Rodrigo since he was first friends with The Nomadic Movement. So happy Freddie is your sweet 💗⚘️. My Grandma was from Germany too. 🌻💜💙🕊
The liquid from the cheese is whey. Great to turn into a powder and you’ve got yourself a wonderful protein for shakes. Build a sliding ladder that can be pushed off to side.
What a great video. You guys work so well together. Loved the outcome of the Goat cheese and also the welding and painting of the joists. WooHoo! Love you guys and Roger is so smart you can't keep a good cat down LOL! So until the next one be safe and prosper.
I would do another floor beam for the loft, to extend it out just a little bit. That would give you head clearance from the roof beam on the side, for a ladder.
Library ladder with a twist. Ladder has the same angle as the roof. It has a plattform in the top that mounts to the ledge of the loft as a sliding barn door. The ladder is 90 degre to the loft, has wheels in the base and can roll. You can then push the ladder all The way up to the wall/roof when not in use.
You Tube have so many variations of foldaway stairs for mezzanine rooms such as your bedroom. The DIY ones also show you how to make them. Good luck. ❤
Make the ladder with wheels on the bottom & some sort of sliding mechanism at the top, you can move it to the centre when in use, & push it out of the way when not in use ,good luck ❤❤❤❤
Extend the stairs from downstairs up to the loft bedroom ! I thought you would make the bedroom on the existing floor before the loft and figure out another bedroom for future needs and make storage on the sides where headspace is nonexisting. So hoping you'll be ready this year and that you will be nice and cosy living in it soon.I still wonder why we see the insolation in the diningroom area above where the 3 d printer is ;-)
I've seen some great removable tiny house ladders that attach to a horizontal bar. Think of a long pipe with two elbows and then two flanges to anchor it to the side of your loft. Then your ladder has two hooks to slide over and secure the ladder and you store it on the wall somewhere. I was also thinking of a ladder parallel to your walls, and you anchor it to a horizontal bar coming off your loft. Maybe secure it with a vertical bar that is next to your stair railing. Then you don't have to move your ladder and it is mostly out of the way.
A sliding ladder on a rail like they used to have in library's. You can slide it to the middle to go up and down and slide it to the side when you are not using it.
Stairs on end that doubles as your wardrobe or library etc. Amazon has pics of cool loft beds with stair options. Wish it allowed pics to be uploaded. Metal and wood stairs. I also love the elevator platform idea. Could be electric and manual (pull chain) if power goes out. Great job!
Three stair options. #1. Build another set of stairs directly above your ground-floor/second-floor stairs. This will eat into the usable second floor space, and require you to extend the depth of the loft (perhaps doubling its size). The biggest benefit, however, is the ease of access. #2. Build a small platform (3’x3’ or 4’x4’) extending from the loft floor and then build a set of stairs parallel to the front edge of the loft that can swing up & out of the way (like a hinge). The platform would need be supported, but would preserve your second-floor space and result in fairly easy access. #3. Build a library style extension style ladder. This would be the easiest to construct, but it would be tougher to access the loft.
You will choose the perfect way to get in your loft. Meanwhile everything you are doing is captivating. I love watching the two of you. Congratulations on your goat cheese. I bet there’s a way to harden it up a bit Hopefully you’ve found how to water the animals efficiently. Love watching the journey. You two are simply precious. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Build a step down platform with railings and stairs. Stairs like you have to get to 2nd floor. The floor you currently have will be enough for a bed and maybe side tables. A stepdown platform will give you more headroom to walk, and room for dressers on each side.
So many good suggestions. If you want a ladder vs one of the great stair ideas, maybe a ladder permanently attached that folds under loft. It would expand out/slide up a few rungs, then swing up out of way when you want open space.
Ok, try to see my vision with words. . . Build another book nook/case like stairs (using that space for shelves, cabinets, drawers etc.) next to where you come up from the 2nd floor. Make it turn into the center of the room with a platform on the long side of your loft so you enter the loft in the middle for headroom. You can put a couch or bed "under" the head space of the stair/book shelf area. I wish I could send you sketch ideas but I'm not sure of exactly how your 2nd floor is set up. Or mirror the loft like the 2nd floor, extending the loft and creating a cat walk with the stairs landing in the middle of the room next to the down stairs case. It's my opinion that stairs are safer and easier to carry things up and down than ladders.
@thejunglecouple I went back to your video named "Loft addition" and commented another possible solution to getting up into the loft. On the sitting room side of your 2nd floor, could you take out a portion of your railing that faces the walk through area and make 3 or 4 steps up to a landing then turn left with the remaining steps and still have enough head room when you reach the top of your steps? If this works, it won't take up any more space due to having the open floor/stair space already. I also suggested another idea to maybe create a cat walk area that extends past your loft space above the stairs and walk area on both sides of the loft so maybe you could have a small closet on each (slanted) side of the loft, but it is just an idea. 💡Best wishes on whatever you decide, but think about the pros and cons of ladders vs stairs now and in your later years. 💜
Love your new earing Rodrigo at 1:00😂. Roger is such a smart cat. Impressive work you two are doing on the loft build. “Ready With Freddie” - very nice. Great job making goat cheese.
You guys are great. A thought why not expand and connect your current staircase to the loft.. Have the landing to one side and the staircase going towards the middle so you won’t hit your head or add a spiral staircase. I know you will figure it out. Your home is coming together beautifully.
🌟Freddie being adventurous with making produce is very exciting, G👀D WORK 🙌👏👏👏👏👏🌟 Roger is a smart little rascal😂 Rodrigo yes working smarter not harder with your water ✨Fabulous✨ If you build a Platform in the Centre off the existing Loft & have the Stairs coming from the Side of your House (either side) to the Centre or within the end Rafter have a cut-out & the Stairs going to it, but it is totally up to you Both as you are living in your Home (I am sure you will come up with the correct idea for your Stairs) 🫶🌈🥰🤗🇦🇺
I think also permanent stairs. Lets see if I can explain it correctly. There is that dead space between the upper railing (of the current staircase) and the loft. I say you make a platform at a lower level than the loft. This would make it easy getting into the loft most naturally (climbing a ladder isn't always ideal), then have the steps to the platform running next to the railing along the middle of the room. Then make the current rails higher to accommodate for the staircase going around the rails from the first floor. If I could draw it you would agree. Then you create storage under the stairs and the platforn to maximize usage of space. (I went to school for architecture and interior design and can envision my idea.) I also think it would create a cohesive flow. I hope this is useful and understandable. Can't wait to see what you make as a solution.
Put a ladder on the outside flat wall that has a hole up into the floor. Its out of the way. You can have a solid railing all the way across. The hole would take up minimal space. It would be less distracting to the eye than a ladder in the middle of the room. Also have you considered leaving the stariwell partiallly covered like it is now to keep Roger and the main floor safe? I think it would give you more square footage upstairs
Well Rod - the little lady u brought home is really blooming!! So shy at first, TBH, I didn’t care for her at first. But the last couple months she has gained my trust - blossomed herself, as well as brought the best out in you!! She’s ok - nah - I’m liking her a lot now!!! REALLY. Ready Freddy!!
Have you given any thought to building an extension or ell out from the main floor of the house to be used as a bedroom? It would give you so much more space and be close to the bathroom. It would be cooler for sleeping and should your family grow in the future, you would be prepared with safe, additional space. The upstairs could be used as a family/living room and eliminate the cramped sleeping space of the loft which could be used as storage.
Strategically placed mirrors help me to feel safe. For instance I can see my front door through mirrors from my bedroom! Place one so you can see the stairs, battery operated motion lights till you get dog, and get a pew pew. Its an old house you will get used to what it is saying it probably has creaky floors so you will soon be able to recognize normal sound. This definitely will help when you are alone it will be very hard for someone to be able to sneak around 😂 you will soon find comfort in your home. So happy for you 🎉
Hey guys I think you should build a ladder over the staircase which is already a dead space........estoy segura que Rodrigo puede pensar e una solucion... Muchos carinos..
You could do a library ladder that slides along a track at the top. It looks super cute and you can put it in the middle to get up and down and slide it over to the side out of the way during the day when you're not using it. Plus it's super safe and secure because it's always attached to the rail and it's very sturdy when you pull it out at an angle to climb it comfortably.😊
A sliding library ladder will work. You can leave it up when you are in the loft or getting up into the loft, but slide it to the side when it’s not in use.
I wonder if a pill down staircase would work - I have one for accessing my attic. They are very common. You pull down a trap door; the staircase is fold in two, on the back of the back door. You unfold the staircase and there is your way up and down. You would need space in the loft for a trap door and make sure it is in a place where you wouldn’t fall through at night. The nice thing about it is that it folds away during the daytime. If you google pull-down staircases you’ll probably get some images of what they look like and how they work. The trapdoor has a really strong hinge on it. If you have the space for it, that might work for you.
Put your ladder in a fixed area about 2-3 feet from the loft corner. then make a "second" ladder towards the outside slider. where your rungs are put boards across and lake it into a shelving unit with a backer towards the outside wall. the area from the ladders/shelves to the outside wall on the lower level can become a closed storage and you can even put a door on it to "hide" the contents. It becomes enclosed storage, shevling, and a ladder all in one. Leave a small place for where the window is and possibly put an indoor plant there.
I make homemade mascarpone cheese with whipping cream or heavy cream. Same recipe really heat until the same temperature and for mine I added a tablespoon of lemon juice stirring and then you let it sit for 30 minutes, then pour into a cloth lined sieve over another bowel to catch any drips. Let cool until a safe temperature to refrigerate, leave it overnight and in the morning you'll have mascarpone. I then make homemade tiramisu with some really good coffee and liquor. 😊 Not sure if you can use the creamy part of the goat's milk for that or if you have to use cow's milk but it is heavy cream either way so yummy.
What about adding making a stair case that tuns 90 degrees at the top of the existing stairs you built. Cut the top of the railing and add stairs from top of the staircase you have. That way you can stop on the second floor or turn 90 degrees and access the loft. That would keep the stairs more in the center of the loft without taking up too much space!
So funny! I pour mine into the cloth, push around with the big spoon to get out extra liquid. I eat it warm in soup or sandwiches. Im so excited, today I birthed 3 baby goats!
Hello Roderico and Freddy, Make a spiral staircase on the side of the room uit of metal and wood. The same style you have on the other stairs. Greetings from the Netherlands.😊
when I worked on a farm we set up plumbing like a toilet tank, when they drank enough water to lower the float the tank would automatically refill. The pigs would break the nozzle, the cows would try to get to the float and I had to weld a grill to protect the tank-float, the goats, rabbits, chickens and dogs were all safe with automatic water supply
If you have room, put a door into the floor, under the roof line with a ships ladder (back against the roof) so it feels safer going up and down at night.
Depending how large your bed is. You can have his and hers ladder on either side of the bed. Climb up the ladder directly to your side. Probably at the foot of the bed so you have room to move around up top. Little cubby in the corners for clothes storage.
you can also make yogurt bring your strained milk to 180 then cool to 115 add a good quality starter yogurt add 1/4 cup per half gallon let sit out about covered in a towel or blanket so it stays warm longer let sit 5 or 6 hours the longer it sets the more tangy then put in fridge and use
I agree with others , Add more beams to make the loft's loft bigger and tie into the other staircase to go to the top loft. Or put the stairs for the top loft over in the corner going up and make the stairs like cubes so you can use it as storage (which y'all don't have) . If you make the loft's loft bigger you can add a closet and be able to put dressers/bedroom furniture up there. Also you need to have railings/or half pony wall of some kind on each side of the loft's loft so y'all don't fall/roll off the loft''s sides. . Rod before you milk the goats you need to take warm water in a bucket with a clean cloth/rag out with you. So you can wash the goat's milk bag,, then maybe you want get all that goat hair in the milk. Also you should build a goat milking stand/station for the goats. Y'all are doing an awesome job so far. Congrats on making goat cheese.. You can also make goat soap. with the goat's milk.
2 ideas for loft access. An attic ladder that fold down or look at tiny home manufacturers for a series of storage cabinets as steps. Yes it would be in the center but with all the additional storage you can maybe make room somewhere else
Plant form of top step, open up, go up from that plant form ,with steep steps/ ladder, to the middle of the loft. That’s what I came up with. Good luck I’m sure what ever you come up with be perfect for you both 😊
Nice job on finishing those welds.! Regarding the stairs, another idea to consider is a stair that starts from close to the middle of the loft down to one of the sides. You can leave like 3 feet from the wall to start and follow the pitch of the roof. Something like this:
How about a sliding/rolling ladder, something like what you might find in an ancient library? When you need it, you can slide it to the center and then move it out of the way the rest of the time.
Idea for loft access: put the ladder up the side to a comfortable height for standing and then put a landing step/walkway across from the ladder to the Center of the loft. So you would step down from the loft one step and walk over to the ladder. It will mean a bit more welding in the house because your walkway will have to be supported by the loft beams from above. Don’t know if it will work or not.
Maybe spiral staircase on the right side, doesn't take up much space and it's more comfortable than a ladder. But a lot of work. Thank you for you're great content. ❤
Have you thought about an attic folding ladder.. another cool idea too, is making a sliding ladder like the ones they use for the book shelf and you can slide it to the middle when going up and slide it to the side when you're done using it.
An idea would be to build the loft across the entire space (window to window). Place a circular staircase at one end, in the middle, for head clearance.
Put a small square opening on loft floor in back corner by back wall to climb up. I seen that way on another A frame. Or just have a ladder that you put off to the side when not up there sleeping. I’m enjoying your videos so much especially because I plan to be on a relocation tour soon so thinking of moving there from California. Freddie consider mastering goat cheese! You can sell it and if I move there I’ll buy it! 😊
Just saw the part about the ladder issue... Instead of having the ladder move to the side, have it fold underneath the platform when not in use (and you can have a clasp to hold it in place) and fold down when you want to use it... Then, you can have it in the middle for ease of use. (I hope this makes sense, I have brain trauma, so sometimes I have a hard time conveying the images in my head into typed-out words. lol ) Regardless, keep up the good work!! Much love from Kansas
Make a retractable wood staircases that folds up and attaches under the lower ceiling You can make a nice decorative box/door to hide it! You’re very creative!! Pull it down to use at bed time
Hey, I just got an idea from the ladder itself! Make an A frame bookcase that has steps on both sides, then storage in the middle! It can be a conversation piece and offer tons of storage and easy access. You can even add hand rails on the side. It will perfectly mirror your A frame house!
nice job but why not put the stairs to the loft on the other side where the railing is to go downstairs. Then your stairs to the loft and to go downstairs are on the same side!
How about a ladder that has wheels that roll across the top and bottom. Like a library ladder. You'd have to build a rail for the top part.
I thought about exactly the same, probably the best idea 👌🏼
Me too
Lol. I was just going to tell them the same thing
That’s what I was thinking!
Same here. Really the only solution!
Hey guys. Jordan's dad here. You need what's called a barn ladder. It slides on a bar that will be attached to the face of the loft and the ladder's base will be on wheels. Easy peezy.
Create a library ladder. One that slides back and forth on a bar.
came here to say that... yup! best idea.
Make stair 'cubes' by the wall that double as storage/closets. Your imaginations will come up with something 🕊
Oh yes, that’s a good idea. Actually, not sure how they would build that but similar to like a tiny home.
Great idea ❤
Your explanation was much better than mine!!
GREAT IDEA!!!
Saw a folding spiral staircase of drawers. 😮 Amazed at the possibilities!
Have I told you lately how impressed I am by how well you both speak English? That and your very strong work ethic. Roger is sooo handsome, and such a cat. LOL

I also agree with this idea?
The stairs can go directly above the other stairs and extending the loft floor space.

Yes, especially if sometime down the road Freddie is pregnant.
@@bethb7965I always worried about Kailie when she pregnant and then carrying Sadie up and down the ladder, also. 😱
@@taliasya2273 me too; no matter how careful one is, it's an accident waiting to happen. And with Roger going up the ladder, an extra element to add.

Kailie made goat cheese for a while. I think she ended up using vinegar, also. I know she tried lemon.

Great idea. Even though u took it from me!! JK. That’s what I was thinking about myself
maybe just build another stack of stairs up over the existing stairwell; the footprint is already there. Open stairs; let's in light. Looks great!

The liquid from the cheese is whey. Great to turn into a powder and you’ve got yourself a wonderful protein for shakes. Build a sliding ladder that can be pushed off to side.
Remember the little miss Moffitt nursery rhyme. "...eating her curds and whey"
How do you turn whey into powder?
@ a process called spray drying. Google or utube it.

Three stair options. #1. Build another set of stairs directly above your ground-floor/second-floor stairs. I have an a-frame and the loft is accessed by a black metal spiral staircase that comes up through the loft floor. Love your content! 👍
Great idea, but Panama! No Home Depot, expense is out of budget😊
Build a step down platform with railings and stairs. Stairs like you have to get to 2nd floor. The floor you currently have will be enough for a bed and maybe side tables. A stepdown platform will give you more headroom to walk, and room for dressers on each side.

You guys are great. A thought why not expand and connect your current staircase to the loft.. Have the landing to one side and the staircase going towards the middle so you won’t hit your head or add a spiral staircase. I know you will figure it out. Your home is coming together beautifully.
I love Freddie and how she is so natural!
They would both 🩷 the story of the Loretto Chapel Staircase in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.
🌟Freddie being adventurous with making produce is very exciting, G👀D WORK 🙌👏👏👏👏👏🌟
Roger is a smart little rascal😂
Rodrigo yes working smarter not harder with your water ✨Fabulous✨
If you build a Platform in the Centre off the existing Loft & have the Stairs coming from the Side of your House (either side) to the Centre or within the end Rafter have a cut-out & the Stairs going to it, but it is totally up to you Both as you are living in your Home (I am sure you will come up with the correct idea for your Stairs)

A ladder that slides along a metal pole, so you can move it out of the way...like the barn door style.
Can't wait to see what you make as a solution.
why not draw it out for them and email it, might be the best way to explain
Is this similar to their 1st fl staircase?
@@Yannispawn yes sort of.
@@gaiealash8374 that's a good idea. I hadn't thought of doing that.
Sounds like a perfect plan!
Permanent fencing is the only way with goats. You'll build it once, and won't have to have problems again. Love you guys!
Rodger is very clever 🤣
So excited to see the progress on your loft! Love from Vernal UT!
A spiral staircase on the side would save room and be solid and decorative.
Spiral staircase, in Panama. Yeah, nah!😂
A spiral staircase starting under the loft where the floor is the widest.
Almost -
Well Rod - the little lady u brought home is really blooming!! So shy at first, TBH, I didn’t care for her at first. But the last couple months she has gained my trust - blossomed herself, as well as brought the best out in you!! She’s ok - nah - I’m liking her a lot now!!! REALLY. Ready Freddy!!
Tiny homes have a rolling ladder to get up to their lofts. During the day they put it to the side.😊
It's perfect lfe lesson
So happy for you 🎉
Sliding ladder like big libraries have, like barn door hardware
I like the rolling library ladder idea. Whatever way you guys go with it, I’m sure will look great!
You guys are getting some great advice in the Comments. Good Luck, making your decisions.
Boquete is so beautiful during this time of the year 🌼🌻🌺🌹💐
I make homemade mascarpone cheese with whipping cream or heavy cream.
Thanks for sharing your recipe! That sounds delicious!😍
A folding spiral staircase! Each step is a drawer. Love the way they look and function. ❤
I think the idea to have a ladder up the flat wall and a hatch above to access the loft would be the least invasive and most aesthetically pleasing 😊
I thought the same
You guys should have one of those DIY "library ladders" that you can just move it to the side.
I love how the two of you work together!
Hello Roderico and Freddy,
Make a spiral staircase on the side of the room uit of metal and wood. The same style you have on the other stairs. Greetings from the Netherlands.😊
Not possible in Panama, it's very isolated. 😊
@mezanian he can make the whole stairs by himself. He is clever enough.
when I worked on a farm we set up plumbing like a toilet tank, when they drank enough water to lower the float the tank would automatically refill.
The goats milk looks great. The progress on the loft is great too. Maybe a sliding ladder with wheels? Love the energy between you two. ❤️
You can also make goat soap. with the goat's milk.
that loft is coming up nicely, good job!!!!!
You guys are awesome!!
Looking good so far you guys almost there. 😄👍👍
Put in a spiral staircase, it can be decorative looking if it has to be in the middle, but it would be a safer option I think. Good luck my friends!❤
-

----=---------

I've seen tiny homes with the bed loft on a mechanism like a garage door. You push a button and the platform lowers, push again to raise it.
How about a sliding/rolling ladder, something like what you might find in an ancient library?
When you need it, you can slide it to the center and then move it out of the way the rest of the time.
Hey Freddie and Rodrigo the loft is coming along beautifully
Yes! A rolling library ladder!
You making it
Proud of Ya'll!😊
Built a permanent latter and using is for storage from bottom to top similar to what you did downstair but storage accessible both way, or close it.
Have you thought about an attic folding ladder.. another cool idea too, is making a sliding ladder like the ones they use for the book shelf and you can slide it to the middle when going up and slide it to the side when you're done using it.
Great job guys
Maybe a spiral staircase? The collapsible rolling ladder could still work. When it's folded flat, you could have some kind of mural painted on it!
I don't think that space will be used for anything other than storage of things that won't melt.
Looking great guys!!
Make a retractable wood staircases that folds up and attaches under the lower ceiling
You can make a nice decorative box/door to hide it!
You’re very creative!!
Pull it down to use at bed time
Thank you for the video!
Put stairs that can fold/flatten then have it fold/bend and latch to the bottom of the bed frame
Good job you guys I'm proud of you keep up the good work❤
Hey, I just got an idea from the ladder itself!
Then your stairs to the loft and to go downstairs are on the same side!
i agree i with your thinking
You guys need to have a curvy slide from your loft that goes all the way to the bottom floor!
You two are amazing and adorable and hard workers ❤❤
You have plenty of empty space up there to make the bed platform bigger, an extra joist would make space for making it more like a bedroom.
In the UK we have folding loft ladders that you can tuck up out of the way when you don't need to use them.
Yes, the type to access an attic space. This would eat up some of the loft floor space.
Freddie leaning against that rail..a little worrisome!
