Going in and out of apartments, I find these need to be unstacked to get to tools. I bought a smaller modular set from U-line that has drawers and the bottom flips open also. Im using it now, but it just seems it won't hold up to going in and out , stack and unstack, to go up stairs and different jobs. I was attatched to the Rigid system and still might go back using a set up table so the apartment i work in doesnt have boxes all opened up over the floor. If Rigid comes out with drawers and a bottom roller that flips open, I'm buying it.👍😊
Thanks Matt. I agree, once you get invested in a specific system it gets too expensive to start all over with another. Milwaukee's Packout is a great system.
The plastic is softer in the gen2 not sure if that's a good thing or not. It would be nice if the milk crate was gen2 because, I cracked mine within two days of use... I almost feel that the Gen2 is much better but, they should of kept the original plastic.
@@starastronomer Thanks. It's kinda a 50/50 toss up on the plastic. I don't have the mid box in gen2 but, being that I do have the original mid tier box, I use that one as a step stool all day long; especially in basements. Very rugged indeed. I do like the new taller heights of the gen2's. & The rubber of the side handles are more robust. Also like the new recessed grab indents that complement those grab handles.
Interior length and width dimensions would have been nice, but a good thorough review of the 2 boxes.
Getting the whole new system on Black Friday special. Just have to wait till Christmas to use em.
Good deal Actual Person.
❤ really nice box not a bad price either great review nice lighter and a little bigger
Thanks Nachoman.

Thanks so much Alexy.
Nice comparison - I think you are going places
Thanks fred white!
If I had to start over, I would probably go with Rigid boxes. I am just too invested now into Milwaukee Packout. Enjoyed the review.

Im curious why Rigid? Yes I know Milwaukee is pricey but they offer so many ways to customize your load out.
This was a very informative video. I hope Ridgid compensates you the it.
THANK YOU so much @cdplayadavid7916 I do these videos for free. Haven't heard anything from Ridgid :)

Interesting observation Gary.
