  • In this podcast episode, we're talking about something that I'm sure many of us have experienced: why some women can be mean to each other. Of course, it's important to note that not all women are like this, but it happens in certain situations. We delve into some possible reasons. For example, society has historically pitted women against each other, especially in regards to looks. This can create competition and insecurity, which can lead to poor behavior. We also explore how women can be socialized to use passive-aggressiveness as a way to communicate, as well as how different
societal pressures can impact how women interact with each other. To combat this, we need to actively challenge societal norms, encourage more direct communication, and create safe spaces where women can support each other. We also dive into the topic of jealousy and how it can develop as a natural response to feeling threatened or vulnerable. It's a fascinating discussion, so let's get into it!
    Affirmations:
I am secure in who I am and what I have, and I trust that I am on my own unique path.
I celebrate the success and accomplishments of others, knowing that their achievements do not diminish my own.
I choose to focus on gratitude for what I have in my life, rather than dwelling on what I lack.
I recognize that everyone has their own struggles and challenges and I strive to approach others with kindness and empathy.
I am confident in my own abilities and strengths, and I believe that there is enough success and abundance for everyone.

Hi Dulce ! There’s a lot of mean girl energy going on at my job. Everything you described about the cliques and attitudes is spot on . This group has even driven people to quit . I often wonder why they don’t pick on me then I remember I know my self worth . I don’t need to be validated by people who don’t love themselves. Thank you for your wisdom on this topic .

Awareness is the first step! Then asking yourself what kind of person you DO want to be! ❤

I was bullied mercilessly in elementary school and into Junior High by a group of mean girls. The damage it had on me was deep and painful. It took years of inner work and healing to finally get to a place of peace.
I always knew in my heart that these mean girls were behaving badly towards me because of their own pain and insecurities
Having said that though, I do want to point out that despite many people saying and making it clear to these girls how badly they were behaving and pointing it out to them, it did not stop the horrible abuse and harassment I suffered. It continued, so I personally don’t think it made a difference.
It made it more insidious and nastier.
    I have to with you
    A few years ago,
the ring leader of the mean girls club reached out to my brother (who is friends with her brother) , and though I have done the inner work.. she basically wanted to be friends via FB.
I consciously and mindfully chose to keep her away from me and my peace.
I did not want to have any contact with her whatsoever.
I do think it’s very important to acknowledge that as a victim of bullying and mean girl energy, it’s ok and acceptable to not reintroduce one’s bullies into your life and space. You can forgive them from afar and move on. No need to bring them into your life.. and hope that they have moved past their meanness and grown into healthy loving individuals, who have done their own inner healing.

Hi Dulce, all of your videos come out at just the right moment when I need them ❤️ I have been a mean girl & I have also been bullied in my past. Like you said, it's normal for young girls & even women to stay in that mentality. I have worked so much on myself & continue to do so with the help of your videos & your suggestions. All I can remember is a quote I have heard many time "hurt people hurt people" & that is helping me have compassion towards others & myself. I am becoming a better person because of you! Thank you 💖

Love this ❤ how do you handle mutual friends that you might not really vibe with. Sometimes my close friends are making new friends and I feel obligated to invite them when we go out. I feel mean if I don’t, and at the same time I don’t think I should feel bad because we are all adults.
