Micheal McKean was outstanding this season. He really should have won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor. He made you hate him, root for him, and pity him all at the same time.
The Emmys should be investigated for the robbery of Emmys for Jimmy, Chuck, Kim, Mike, Nacho, Lalo, and Gus. As well as writing, directing, and Best Drama Awards.
Chuck isn't "faking" his condition. And definitely not for attention. He's ashamed of it. It's a mental condition likely brought about by stress and depression that he has little conscious control over. It is all in his head, but it doesn't make it any less real to him. He didn't know the battery was there so he had no reason to freak out. Once he knew, he threw it on the ground. His interactions with EM radiation is looks just like a panic attack. Just like how agoraphobics can't stand being outside and claustrophobics act the same way in tight spaces. I have no doubt that therapy and/or medication would have helped Chuck overcome his illness. He was already making some progress on his own.
the guy who was to light with the money for Nacho, was Crazy-8.....the guy Walter White killed in Jesse Pinkman basement, strangling him with a motorbike paddlock.
The guy who steals the figurine is ALSO the guy who runs the Vamonos Pest exterminators in Season 5 of Breaking Bad- where Todd works and stole things from people
And Michael McKean is almost universally seen as Mr. Nice Guy in everything, which helps serve his subversive comedy. His acting in Better Call Saul was incredible, because this incredibly likable guy in almost everything else is so hatable. And he was only supposed to be in the first episode, but they found that the interplay between Odenkirk and McKean was so good, they decided to rework the series into a long, slower journey to becoming Saul, where he was going to be Saul within a few episodes before.
I just realized why they showed the flashback they showed at the beginning of Chicanery. It wasn't just a connection to Rebecca, but it's a connection to Jimmy realizing that Chuck's condition isn't real. All throughout the candle light dinner, Chuck was fine until the cell phone rang. He didn't know it was there. Maybe that's what Jimmy thought about when planning the battery trick for the hearing.

It seems like you may have missed it in Breaking Bad, but the reason Gus had it out so bad for Hector is because it was shown in a flashback scene that Hector killed Gus's business partner/lover.
@@bensiler40 In Breaking Bad 4x8 "Hermanos", Hector was peeing in the pool in front of Gus, and asked (in Spanish) "You like what you see?". Then later, he caustically referred to Pollos Hermanos (The Chicken Brothers) as "more like the 'Butt Brothers'" (again in Spanish), inferring that they had a homosexual relationship. Gus didn't deny it, neither did anyone else there, including Max.

One of my favorite episodes ever, that court scene was amazing acting and script writing, breaking bad is different and also an amazing show, Better call Saul is just clever, easily one of my favorite shows ever
It seems like all of Chuck's worst symptoms come as a reaction to Jimmy. They say that Chuck's illness, now confirmed mental illness, was initially brought on by Chuck's divorce, but what if that divorce is just what brought Jimmy back into Chuck's life?
The whole ending of Chicanery with Chuck going off is amazing writing and acting. The fact Michael McKean wasn’t nominated for an Emmy for that episode is shocking. It was also great to see Rebecca at the beginning and end of the episode. Also seeing Huel’s introduction in Chicanery is great as well as how Jimmy/Saul got in touch with him in the first place. We know Jimmy took some money out of the register, but how much he actually took the entire time he worked at his dad’s shop is not known. Could have been a situation he took some money out of the register once in awhile, but we also know their father would give people money who came in and had some story of needing money and he’d give them however much they asked for. But in Chuck’s mind Jimmy took all the money that eventually resulted in their dad having to close his store. This whole thing with Chuck and Jimmy keeps getting crazier and crazier, though I do like how Jimmy goes about making commercials for other businesses under the Saul Goodman moniker to at least get back his money on the other commercials slots that he had for his other commercial for his law practice so that he can break even. And the whole Nacho storyline regarding getting payments as well as the extra kilo is very engaging, though the whole situation of Hector of wanting to use Nacho’s dad business as a front for their operations doesn’t sit well for him as he wants his father not to be associated with the cartel since his father is a legitimate business man and a good man. This storyline will also get more interesting the more it unfolds and seeing Gus at the Laundry for the first time is great to see and with Lydia as well. Great reactions guys, I hope you two are doing well. Please have a great day and a great rest of your week. Take care!
E5 is when all of the subtle hints (and some not so subtle) clues as to the source of Chuck's condition are finally confirmed. Chuck's condition is a psychosomatic manifestation of his resentment towards Jimmy becoming a lawyer. Every cold open between the two, their past, is revealed specifically to show the progression. Jimmy even flat out says to Chuck that he gets worse whenever he thinks Jimmy is screwing up after the billboard and newspaper fiasco. Chuck denies it, but as soon as Jimmy convinces Chuck it wasn't anything serious, Chuck throws off the space blanket to get coffee. Having Rebecca come to the hearing, was done for the board as much the audience, because you see Chuck has no reaction towards her arrival. But as soon as Jimmy exposes the battery situation, the wall in Chuck's mind between the subconscious and conscious breaks, and he spews all his vitriolic thoughts about Jimmy. Once Jimmy passed the bar, Chuck's subconscious created this condition to keep Chuck in a perpetual state of need. He refuses to tell Rebecca and drives her away knowing that Jimmy will be the first one to step up and offer to be there for Chuck. Which severly restrict's Jimmy's time and ability to go out and make it as a solo practitioner. He can't build his book of business because he's stuck doing public defense to make any money to support him and his brother. All by Chuck's twisted sense of morality and holding the law in such high regard. But a psychosomatic condition, while being a mental disorder, manifests itself as a physical condition. Chuck isn't consciously faking an illness for attention. Chuck's subconscious is creating physical sensation in Chuck's conscious mind for a purpose. It's only once the illusion is shattered in front of Chuck's eyes that his conscious mind is finally able to begin to accept what is happening to him.
Such a great show and great reactions!! Sad when the episodes end, wish it would keep going!! Really enjoying Better Call Saul!! Thanks for doing these!!

"Now I see why our fish died" 🤣 Don't be too hard on yourselves, caring for fish is more work than most people realize. Of course it also depends on what kind of fish we are talking about. A goldfish for example, it's pretty hard to actually neglect a gold fish to death. A gold fish should of been the star of that movie "Hard to Kill". My grandmother once let a goldfish bowl freeze almost solid. Her electricity went out during a snow storm, she didn't have plans of killing the goldfish. However once the power came back on a couple of days later that ice melt and that goldfish kept on living his best life. At the other end of the spectrum is salt water fish, don't even look at them wrong or they will belly right up. I had African and South American cichlids. They are like a cool middle ground between a goldfish and salt water fish..

From here on out, it's CRUCIAL that you guys pay close attention to details: names and faces. Also, remember some events and people from Breaking Bad. If you BLINK, you'll surely miss something. PAY ATTENTION LOL
IT'S APPARENT CHUCK WAS AND IS JEALOUS OF JIMMY.😪👎🏼😵
Jimmy was taking care of Chuck to exhaustion and Chuck still sabotaged his career at that point.
chuck never asked jimmy to take care of him to exhaustion
Jimmy is the worst. I can't stand his character at all. There's nothing to respect about him. Nothing chuck ever said was wrong
I usually wait until season 4 to watch reactions to Saul. Not a fan of the first 3 seasons.
