Your techniques are out of the box teaching. You are saving us $$ in that special jigs etc. are not necessary. Thank you for sharing your gifts & talents! 😘
Dude, I have been watching you now for a while to get a handle on how to do stained glass. Complete newbie here. I am really impressed. I hope I can become half as good as you. I hope you will keep posting more videos. Thank you.
I now make all my glass display cases using your methods and instructionals. They look infinitely better than glued perspex :-D. Thank you very much for the outstanding content!
I use bars because they are easier / faster than pushing skinny ass roll solder into the iron; also, I buy it directly from the lead mill at half the price one gets rolls from a glass supply store. Tin is not suitable mainly because the melting point is too high. Ah, good point, the lid of this terrarium rests within the base because it is a wee smaller. Providing your cutting and 3D assembly is accurate all's good however knobs of solder near the top of the base can be employed to make it sure.
I've been so intimidated by glass cutting and soldering, but seeing it all laid out has given me so much hope that my dream projects can become reality!! Thank you so very much for posting this! I'll be investing money into my project now, and I'll use your pattern as my tutorial. 🥰👍
You make it look so easy. I'm inspired to give it a try. Thank you. I love that you can explain everything so well with just the few notes you add to the video.
This is exactly what I needed. I’ve been looking at terrariums but just keep thinking it’s sometning I could make- to my specifications, but I had no clue how to start. Very helpful demonstration, thanks!
I am way too late on this video but I had to say how beautiful this was and how meticulous your work is! I have recently become interested in glass foiling but always see people get wrinkles in the foil. Yours is so smooth and perfect. Thank you for sharing this informative and engrossing video!
Ah yes, I've done a few of these, very pretty a..... One can get a water tight finish with the copper foil only. Make sure the glass edges are very tidy i.e. clean perpendicular edges and shapes that come together without gaps. Consider using a slightly wider foil (1/4'in on 2mm glass) The important bit is apply to foil evenly to meticulously cleaned glass. You must press the foil really well, get all wrinkles out (I use a wooden pencil shaft for pressing) Lastly do a great soldering job.
Thank you ever so much for sharing your knowledge. Your instruction videos are very thorough. I hope that we see more of themI also saw that you had some horse videos on your listings. You might enjoy Clinton Anderson's videos. As a horse and dog trainer, I find that he is one of the finest horse trainers on the planet. I also believe in the barefoot method for horses. Great to see a kindred spirit.Cool wedding too. I loved seeing the Middle age garb. Again, thanks for sharing. You are awesome. :)
