If you want some 5 part harmonies I highly suggest the following: “Helplessly Hoping”, and “I Can’t Outrun You”. Both are Chance projects. “I Can’t Outrun You” is Chance in his lower register and it’s hauntingly beautiful. Both songs are stunning.

Thanks for your reaction! I grew up listening to the Eagles music & had their albums. They were known for their harmonies. I absolutely love this cover by Home Free. Their harmonies are so tight & the best in the business. And Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is awesome as usual. Also like the video showing 7 different bridges in Minneapolis.

This was an Eagles song back in the day and I always loved it for its harmony and in the beginning they sang it acapella for the first lines and then the band would kick in with the guitars and drums etc. (right where you first stopped). This was one of the earliest songs by Home Free that I heard and was a major push for turning me into a Home-fry. #HOMEFREE

They filmed this in and around downtown Minneapolis. They’ve filmed a couple of videos on The Stone Arch Bridge, which is the large one with the downtown skyline in the background. The Stone Arch Bridge used to be a railroad bridge, but is now a pedestrian-only bridge.

This is so impressive when they sing is at one of their live shows… The harmonies are pure and beautiful! In the lyrics you hear about moss that grows in the trees found in southern US! Hope you get to see them live someday!!

Wasn’t there something in the videos when Home Free was doing The Sing Off about the producers wanting them to identify as a country A Cappella group. I seem to remember them having a conversation about that. I think they agreed to it for the Sing Off and perhaps it kind of just stuck in a lot of ways even though they do other music just as well. But as a country fan I can’t complain about how great they are singing country. It sets them aside as unique in the A Cappella world. Or maybe they just decided to do country because no other A Cappella group was singing it. ? Whatever the reason, it worked because they won!
Most of what I’ve heard of Chris Rupp - and absolutely love - is Gospel music. I know he’s done other musical ventures besides singing. I really appreciate his solo work although a lot of his solos are in groups of different octaves of him singing. His “alters”. 🙂 He has beautiful voices.
Someone suggested “Spaceship” by Home Free. It really is a good song that does not get many reactions. #HomeFree

This video was filmed in Minnesota which is funny since the song talks about southern skies. This song is a classic by The Eagles, a group from the 1970s.
I would suggest hearing Hotel California by The Eagles. It is probably their greatest hit. It's haunting and mesmerizing. If you want to hear great music with mysterious lyrics with deep meanings in its story, this is the song. People have argued about the song's meanings for decades. See what you think it means.
You might be interested in seeing and hearing Tim Foust sing lead on Hooked on a Feeling with The Bass Gang. Tim hits some low notes, but he sings this primarily as a tenor. It's a fun video. These guys like Home Fee are great singers and make fun videos.
What is interesting about The Bass Gang besides the fact that they are all basses is that they only met each other in person recently last year. Two of the singers are from the US, one is from Eastern Europe, and another is from Egypt.
Peter Barber from the US is probably the best-known member of the group. He has a reaction channel on UA-cam where he analyzes musical techniques. He is also a trained opera singer.
You would really enjoy Home Free in a live performance with Songs That Didn't Make the Cut. This performance recorded by fans was done at Austin's hometown in Georgia. It lets everyone sing lead in the group including Adam who learned some Korean for his performance. This performance was when Chris was in the group. It's fun and shows what great entertainers they are.

I have met this group over a dozen times and all the guys are sweet gentlemen. This song is now even better with the add on of Chance because he can hold the bottom line with Tim. Chance is a bass doing the baritone line but Chris was a baritone/ tenor.

I have been a fan of the Eagles since the 70’s and they recorded this cover by Steve Young on a live album in 1980. It became a hit for them. I love their version, too! Home Free’s cover is really good. My daughters loves the Eagles’ version, but has said she likes the up tempo by Home Free better. I love how they started out and ended with just that gorgeous 5-part harmonies! I also love the uptempo of their cover! Love you guys! You’re so entertaining!

I thought that the Seven Bridges
Minneapolis, MN and our Home Boys! I looked it up. Its in Duluth, Mn, a 4 mile section of parkway that follows Amity creek down to Lake Superior.

Home Free always manages to cover a song with just their own twist to make it really a Home Free song, without losing respect for the original. I think the harmony is so great, but you can still hear the different beautiful voices of each in it. That's what makes it sound so fantastic to me. Great that they are on all those different bridges

Great cover of the Eagles original. I'd love for them to do more Eagles covers, but they usually have extended guitar parts that would be hard to replicate, I think. (Is metronome the word you were scrambling for, LeeJay?)
It’s not an original by the Eagles. Steve Young wrote it in 1969 and recorded it in early 70’s.
