I got mine last Saturday and have now cooked two meals in it and also used the steam feature to steam dumplings and reheat leftovers. The primary vent seems to be toward the front of the machine and it does not release as much steam as I thought it would. I keep it under the cabinet but pull it forward when I cook so that vent is well away from the cabinets. It’s right next to my stove so if I turn on the overhead fan some of the steam gets pulled in. Even if I didn’t do that it doesn’t seem to release enough steam to concern me about the cabinets.
@@kevinpshan nice to know thank you Kevin! I wanted a Combi and have watched quite a bit of videos and most of them don’t show here the steam goes out. OMG! This Ninja model is fabulous! So far, I have made crunchy-delicious toast, and baked a batch of chocolate-chip cookies, They were the most perfect oouwy goowy cookies I have ever baked--without parchment paper, with no oven bottom burn. Because the cookies were the first to cook today, the oven did a pre-heat, then told me to add the food. I had pre-set to 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Mmm, yummy yum good! @Smart44Lady You are very welcome! I'm so enjoying this cooker, cookies in 8 mins, chicken wings and drumsticks in 22 mins. Everything is cooks so fast and good! I've even baked two 8in cakes with steam at the same time. They were so moist and firm.
How did you bake your cookies without them burning? I am an avid baker and have been really struggling with baking in my Combi. Was getting so desperate I was thinking of sucking it up and getting their foodie oven
@mahamtariq5962 LOL. You sound like you love cookies like me. I placed them on the bake (top) tray, set temperture to 350, set timer for 8 or 9 minutes -- I've done both. You need to use the air fryer - bake program. Combi will pre-heat first on this setting, then it will tell you when to add food.

Great Job demonstrating the Combi for us. It may not have turned out as dark on top with reduced time. Poultry, just like any beef, is better off if you let it rest to absorb those juices. Oh boy, oh boy!! I love new Ninja gadget tests!! I love my Ninja Speedi; this is a whole new type that you don't have to lift the lid up! Hi Sandy. The skin on the chicken did come out nice and crispy on the top. I think if you are looking for a "real" combi oven you might not be happy with this. You don't have the same ability to control when steam is released and in what amount. Thanks for watching!
With the holidays coming up I need a countertop oven to bake in. Which of the ovens are the best at baking? The chicken you made in this one looks delish!
Hi! If you have room on your counter for a larger countertop oven I would suggest the Ninja® Foodi® Smart XL Pro Air Oven Model DT251 I think this one gives you the space to bake as well as cook larger roasts if necessary. Thanks for watching!
Nice review, I think using it as a toaster is pointlee takes way to long compared to a toaster but the chicken, that's a massive time saver. What's the biggest chicken you feel it can take?
Hi Ken, I totally get what you're saying about the length of time it takes to toast. For me it makes sense because I don't make toast very often and don't own a toaster. I don't want to crowd my countertop with too many appliances. Thanks for your feedback and thanks so much for watching
Hello, lady, excellent video! That looks like a worthy successor to Ninja's Smart XL Pro Air Oven (DT 250/251) with Ninja Speedi incorporated functions. Nevertheless, it looks like the interior is a little bit smaller. I'm wondering what would be the largest pizza it could accomodate.
HI! I haven't tried a pizza in the Ninja Combi yet however from some reading I've done through Ninja Kitchen's comment section it looks like 10 inches is that largest pizza it can accommodate. Thanks for watching!
I'll do another video demonstration so you can see more of the Ninja Combi features. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for watching!
Wow! That chicken looked DELICIOUS! The toast also looked perfect (my preference) and is the first multi cooking device that makes great toast! I can see two big wide pieces of artisan bread being toasted or you could make crostini with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella! A couple of questions for you Chef Overton, I noticed steam venting out of the top of this Ninja, do you think it would damage kitchen cabinets above it if you were Not cooking on the island type counter with nothing directly above it? Was the Top Hot or was it labeled it gets Hot and was there a clearance height while cooking recommend by Ninja? My apologies but most of my counter space has upper Cabinets above it. But WOW I’m not even in the market for any cooking devices but this one is very tempting! My reasoning is it’s the best balance of all of the Ninja cooking devices I’ve seen.. the perfect size inside and out, the door swings open to the side (only slight downside maybe for Left handed people) and the control panel is in a great location. Also how far does the door open? Was your cutting board keeping it from swinging open farther? Lastly is there a way, if I buy this, to give some kind of credit to you? Because your video is Definitely an honest, great, positive influence advertisement for this new Ninja! Thank you SO much Chef Overton, I always appreciate and enjoy your videos! You truly brighten my day and your smile and vast cooking knowledge inspires me to cook more. My apologies for such a long comment. Have a delicious day! 💕
Cooking time comment: I noticed from my Ninja XL Grill that Ninja cookbooks overcook most of the meat to very well done. I recommend testing to your own preference
That toast looked incredible, I might need one of these things. Hard to believe that they can get bread to turn into toast just by pushing a couple of buttons.
I have a question about the interior light. Does it stay on while you're cooking, but only for a minute or so? Mine doesn't stay on, and I want to make sure that's how it works, or not...
Hi Dom. I agree, I would like this to have a temperature probe too. An external temperature probe with a wire would interfere with the door closing and sealing tightly. A wireless probe might would but I haven't tried that yet.
That's a very interesting question. I'll have to give it a bot more thought but off the top of my head I'd say no. I use the microwave mostly for quick 2-3 minute reheat for leftovers and I don't see the Ninja Combi being able to do a similar job. Thanks for watching
@sweetsavant, what digital thermometer do you use to measure the temp of the chicken?. I’ve been wanting to get one but people seem to state the ones that I look at aren’t accurate.
Hello, i do not understand the reason for the water!! I thought these ovens were supposed to be more of a convection oven. The other ninja ovens do not use water. Do you know why this one needs water??
I am trying to decide which oven I need. I am having a hard time deciding between the ninja double oven or the new combi oven. I will tell you why I am getting one and maybe you can help me please. First of all I live in Florida and I hate to heat the big oven on my stove up. It takes a long time and puts off a tremendous amount of heat and heats the whole house. That makes the air conditioner work really hard to cool things down. There is only myself, my husband and our adult son we live with. So just 3 of us and we don’t eat big meals. But I do bake sometimes and need an oven just not the big one. I was thinking the double one then saw the new combi and not sure if there is an advantage to this one over the double one. Could you let me know what the advantage would be to the new one or if there is one? Thanks
My small kitchen still gets hot, but the heat doesn't carry over to the next connecting room, unlike my apartment oven. The Combi is small and light. It's smaller than my large microwave. It reminds me of my childhood Easy-Bake Oven. Since I made this purchase in September 2023, my apt oven has not been used. I recently made my first Combi meal combination - mixed veggie rice, and two different meats. They were cooked at 315 degrees for 12 mins. I have never made rice that fast, that good, that fast. Do a UA-cam search. There are other videos up now on this incredible device that will help with your decision.
It looks delicious & I enjoyed this review very much. I wanted to compare it to the speedi but I did not see any reviews from you with the speedi. Maybe you can do a comparison of both or explain other then the size if there are any differences .between the two as they do seem similar. thank you very much.
Omg, that chicken looks amazing, and I have my chicken thawing right now, for tomo. This was that exact review I needed. Have my combi cooker, and this will be my first use. I'm so excited! My question is, with the chicken, is there room for anything else in there? I don't think, but looks can be deceiving.. Thank you!
I just ordered my Ninja Combi and haven't received it yet, but I've been watching a lot of videos, and you might be able to put some root vegetables or potatoes along with the water in the Combi cooker pan. Have you tried this? I'm just curious if anyone has done this with a whole chicken.
Can I sauté veggies in the combi pan, put the crisper into the pan, and place marinated drumsticks on top of crisper. Cook on combi meal for 15 min on 375?
I cooked in my combi for the first time, spaghetti & chicken thighs and think speedi worked better. Spaghetti with 2 cups chicken broth and 1 jar spaghetti sauce with broken up chop meat came out kind of dry with some spaghetti burned together. I had to add little water at end to loosen it up. Thighs were cooked on top tray, 6 with skin on and it was swimming in it's own juices. 20 minutes on combi baking so what I found. If your making any coated meat better be skinless or juices will prevent it from crisping unlike in the speedi had no problem. Spaghetti should have broken in half and altered directions so wouldn't pack down. Looks like speedi technics aren't fully transferable to combi

Did you order? What do you think of it?
When are they going to make a Speedi with a built-in temperature probe?
Very frustreating to me.
Thanks for the video.
A temperature probe would be very helpful, I agree! Thanks for watching
I like how the machine looks.
I made chicken Followed your directions 30 minutes was perfect. It made it about a oneddie temperature
I'm so glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching
I would like to see roast potatoes. I do mine in my 23Ltr oven 0:16
Thank you for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. I just got one i love ninja products cant wait to use it
That toast looked incredible, I might need one of these things. Hard to believe that they can get bread to turn into toast just by pushing a couple of buttons.
That's called a toaster?
Thanks for the review. How does this compare to the Ninja Foodi 251?
Where did you get your gloves? Thank you for the video
Your videos are awesome, I own this fabulous machine, please give us more videos on this device, great job!!
Hi Crystal! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I've got more to come! Thanks for watching!
I have a question about the interior light. Does it stay on while you're cooking, but only for a minute or so? Mine doesn't stay on, and I want to make sure that's how it works, or not...
Yep, it will eventually turn off after you turn it on. Completely fine. What did you try first in the combi?
I love all of the ninja products
I've just bought this and it's been successful in what I've cooked so far, but the glass on the door steams up between the layers. Should this happen?
Needs an internal tem probe. Can you put an external temp probe while cooking?
Hi Dom.
I agree, I would like this to have a temperature probe too.
An external temperature probe with a wire would interfere with the door closing and sealing tightly. A wireless probe might would but I haven't tried that yet.
@@sweetsavant Many thanks for your reply and advice.
Keep up the good work 👍
Very helpful❤️ Thank you!
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for watching
Looks like a winner
I like it a lot so far. I do wish it had a temperature probe.
Thanks for watching!
I would like to see roast potatoes. I do mine in my 23Ltr oven
Thanks so much
Peace be with you! Thank you for this!
Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for watching!
Is it possible to replace the microwave with this Ninja Combi?
I just love you vids, so through.
My question is do you add water ? To make that chicken ??
Do you put water in when you use in the air
can you cook a turkey in this oven and if you can, what size turkey
Can you make a muffin recipe and also maybe like banana bread in the ninja Combi?
What did you put on your chicken?
It looks delicious & I enjoyed this review very much. I wanted to compare it to the speedi but I did not see any reviews from you with the speedi. Maybe you can do a comparison of both or explain other then the size if there are any differences .between the two as they do seem similar. thank you very much.
Just got mine today! I find that the pan scrapes along the bottom and doesn’t slide smoothly, have you experienced this?
HI! I haven't tried that, so I can't answer your question.
Is this new one available in the UK
I'm not sure if the Ninja Combi is available in the United Kingdom
@@sweetsavant thanks for your reply, love your videos
Hi sweetheart, I cooked a whole Chicken for 30 mins, 2kg perfect thank you so much
Do you leave the lid on dutch oven to cook in it?
Can do like steam oven ?
What knife are you using?
Is it easy to clean the inside after use
I'm like to see a pumkin pie or an apple pie cooked. Also does it cook pizza?
Thank you so much for the suggestion!
I haven't cooked a pizza yet but Ninja kitchen says it fits up to a 10 inch pizza
How would you compare it to the Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven? I'm torn between the 2.
I have a problem with the oven toast. It is asking “Add POE” or something? I need help please. How do I get rid of it?
Hello, unfortunately I cannot answer your question. Please contact Ninja Kitchen customer service for help.
Thanks for watching
Ask the salted pepper she has alot of info
Can we put pyrex inside it?
As a truck driver i will definitely get this..
Will it cook a ribeye?
Is it a double pane glass on the front door?
Hello Edward. I don't have the answer to that question. Please reach out to Ninja Kitchen customer service for that information. Thank you for watching!
You use this even with the P65 cancer warning on the box?
I do
Why dosen't that warning on the box concern you? I got mine last night and i'm about to send it back because of it@@sweetsavant
Everything in California causes cancer
