Dear Adam, I am so grateful that I found your videos. I am 58 and I have been swimming almost everyday since Jan 23. And I have been applying what you advise since then. I too had a shoulder injury and suffered great pain for nearly 10 years. Swimming has now healed the pain! When I follow the technique that you advise, swimming has become effortless and graceful. I can't thank you enough! God bless you ❤

I’m 56 and swimming an hour 2-3 times a week using his technique. I’m still subbed to your Vimeo. I tweaked my shoulder about 15 years ago and stopped swimming. Just started back up.

I'm 70 years old, very new to swimming, I only started two years ago at 68. I've been going through a long list of How To Swim videos. Yours is the best. I can now swim a kilometre nonstop, cos of your amazing technique.
Mind you I don't have a qualified coach to guide me, only your videos.
Already, I'm introducing the techniques to my swim mates, urging them to subscribe to your channel.
Expect more subscriptions from Lesotho, this year.
This coming Sunday, I'll be swimming 1400m at Mohale Dam, the highest altitude open water in Afrika.

    Great info as always Adam..
Have you a video about afterdrop?
Been swimming openwater a lot of years now (more than I care to remember) , I know my limits, times, temps etc, yet some days that 45/60 mns in skins is too severe compared to the day before and the shaking coul take over an hour to stop. Not hypothermia, just after dropping.
    Ant advice or links?
I have found a lot of info but never too much...
    Thanks Adam.

Hi, I’ve been watching some of your videos and tried to introduce the hip rotation into my session today, I went from 2:00/100min to 1:50/100min instantly.. amazing! But I could tell I wasn’t perfectly ‘balanced’ I think I was rotating my head too much (along with my hips) and perhaps over kicking. My core is not very strong I wonder if this improves I will improve balance? Or is it practise? Or both? I’m excited to go again and see if I can get it down even more!

My problem is the opposite of everyone else’s. I’m so streamlined and my body position and pull are too efficient for my age (64) and fitness level.
I only require 11 strokes (sometimes 9 or 10) to cover a 25 meter pool. I breathe on one side (the left) which means in an entire pool length I only get five opportunities to take a breath. And that’s why I get winded and need to rest. I’m out of shape and need more than five breaths.

Its a very Alexander Popov type of stroke

    Is this the correct sequence:
    1. Flick the foot.
    2. Rotate the hip.
    3. Pull the forearm and hand.
    4. Rotate the head to the side to breath when the hand reaches the thigh.
    5. Rotate the head to face downwards before the elbow passes the face.
    6. Straighten the arm.
    7. Repeat on the other side.
