I've been playing entirely with a pre-set wrist for over 6 months. I have tried to do a regular swing again, but it doesn't work as good as the preset wrist method.
@@scottsanders2641 My big thing is that I play amazing with it but when i go back to a regular swing its too hard to replicate. I understand the preset is basically teaching you to cock the wrists up and down but I just must be doing too much during my regular swing.
Played 9 holes yesterday with this SWING (Not as a drill, as my swing) Almost-perfect contact. Dead straight. Solid. I almost feel like I'm cheating. I've used it in years past I think I'm just gonna stick with it, forever
Only problem with this drill is amateur golfers will bring the club up too steep. I find that I lose my bearings and can’t keep the club on plane when I get rid of the initial takeaway in my backswing. For a pro that has hit 20 million golf balls a day for 20 years this probably won’t be as much of an issue.
This is my actual swing now. I have never been able to put it all together on a full swing. I do something weird with my shoulders and give away power on the normal swing.
This is also my actual swing, I love the sound the ball makes off the club, I’m a high handicapper and struggle with the swing due to too many swing thoughts, this is simple I don’t even think about anything and the balls go far and straight
@LikeCheckSaver Well, the hands are pushing against the right shoulder when they should pull on the shoulder. The heel pad of the left hand should press forwards when the club is parallel to the target line. Best drill is to just simply grip the club with just your left hand, point the club out to the right; and then press forwards with the heel pad of your hand, just as you would press forwards with your heel pad in the waggle at address. Stop at the top of your backswing and then put your right hand the club. Now, that will get you in a deep position at the top.
@@DASH1ful and no I’m not trying that. This drill is better. Tell me you never tried this drill without telling you never tried it. And you’re really disagreeing with a 6 time major winner? You’re nobody wanna be fake coach.
@@PiePye well, i tried the faldo drill 30 years ago when leadbetter first dreamed it up. it is based on hogan's "the backswing does not alter the pattern of the waggle, it is just an extension of its arc", line, in modern fundamentals. so, leadbetter waggled the club back, then extended the arc by swinging his arms back. a lot of tour players tried it back in the day; but, none do the drill now. hogan never did the drill; and, if you slow his swing videos down you will see that his club accelerates when it is parallel to the target line. the heel pad of his left hand created the propulsion that accelerated the club back. when the digiti minimi in hogan's left hand had fully extended about 3/4 the way back, he was then able to complete his backswing by pushing back with the flexor retinaculum, in his wrist joint. when a player pre sets their hands, like faldo, the left wrist joint can't push back towards the top of the backswing. and, that is why faldo doesn't create the depth that hogan did.
Best Golf Drill Ever
Best drill I've ever done. It's part of my pre-shot routine now, and my ball striking has improved soooo much.
Wow. I've got these on VHS somewhere. I'd forgotten about them. Thanks
You can also PLAY with this "swing"
I'm not kidding
It works
Absolutely
DO this people....It works!!!!!!!!
That intro gets me laughing every time
Very useful and also very consistence.
works great fixed my errors today on range with irons and hybrids also added 25 yards

It worked for Ryan Moore 👍

This I've got to try

Joseph Sorce taught him this drill in '79

and just turn back n turn through
can i take away like this ?
Yes, Ryan Moore did a takeaway like this for a couple years due to an injury I think
its like a béchamel, beautiful and so important but basic in execution
Are you supposed to hit balls like this when you play, or simply a drill on the range??
