  • While I was at MAKING it Happen, we took some time to talk about the two types of rotary tools. The roller style like we use at CNC @ Home and the chuck style like they have at MAKING it Happen.

Nice video, what power laser did you use and what settings did you use to etch the glass beer mug? Thanks

Great question. If I remember correctly, their laser is a 150 watt, CO2 laser. I do not know what settings they used for the mug. You can ask Leon over at MAKING it Happen. I bet he can pull that up.

Would you know if this would work on the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro? Would you have a link to the company who made the rotary chuck so I could ask them?

I don't know if it would work or not. My guess is that it would work as it uses a standard stepper connection. As for the check, that was something ordered directly from China as part of their laser. I know that MAKING it Happen had found this through Alibaba. I did a quick look and didn't see the one they had gotten. I hope that helps.

Hey, what brand is the chuck you are using? I find a lot of them, but not many with the tail stock? Thanks!

I will have to check on that. The chuck is what they use at Making it Happen. I can check with them to see if there is a brand. It may just be a generic thing. They ordered it as part of the laser purchase.

That is all part of the charm of having Betty Wh... I mean Vanna White doing the modeling.

@@CNCATHome you think with the laser there all convenient like there would be some laser hair removal happening.

@@makingithappen9840 - Are you trying to tell me there hasn't been? I saw blasts on the inner wall from when the mirrors were not aligned properly. I am will to bet there has been some inadvertent arm crossing of the unfocused laser beam.
