    learned a lot. i heard an old pod cast that spoke about a comedy store with ''like fifti" retrofits. rabbit hole lead me here.

      Protecting the property and tenants against earthquakes is worth the investment. This particular project had a pricetag of $110,000.

    How far apart have you been required to install the a35's im currently installing them every 8 in on Center also same thing with the ltp5 I'm here doing some research on the Simpson moment frame

      Depends on the project AND the amount of Kips expected. Each of these connectors has a load rating, so their sum should be equal to or greater than the value of Kips you are trying to resist. 💪 Learn more at www.softstoryretrofitpros.com

      San Gabriel Valley...lots of 'soft' apartment buildings built in the 60's, owners won't do anything about it until they are required to...

    Alot of Soft Story buildings didnt do well in Northridge Earthquake. They should all be retrofitted

      You're not wrong. Thats why cities like Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Pasadena, West Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, and Torrance have recently passed ordinances to require retrofits for these types of apartment buildings.
