What a great adventure you have given me - I'm 79 years old and my adventures are done - but I lived a wonderful adventure through you boys - well done!
holy smokes! I just binge-watched the whole series and am totally blown away. Kudo's dude, I am 69 and have medical issues that prevent me from extended travel, I loved and scratched the complete way. Thank you for taking me along doing the things I so dearly miss. What you do gives great joy to us who must stay on the porch, cause we can't run with the pack no more. bless you and the boys and once again thank you.
Chocolate bar discussion/strategizing and the flag waving routines were amazing 😂 Really sad this is over. It was so, so outstanding. One of the best trip vids if not the best I've ever seen. The filming and editing on the documentary and this series were so captivating and each video was a different experience. I loved it all so much, thank you guys!
This concludes the series Boreal to Barrenlands - Crossing Labrador. Thank you to everyone who has followed along and joined us on this wild ride! Let us know what your final thoughts were or if you have any questions about our team, trip, planning, post-production, anything! We will try to respond here or possibly do a Q&A.
Northern Scavenger I enjoyed watching this trip of yours. It brought back a childhood memory of when my father took me in his Cessna to Labrador to fish specs and whananish. Great trip, you all should be proud of yourselves and thanks for taking us along 🍻
Guys.. Outstanding. Loved the series. How about a vid of all the gear and pros/cons. Things to leave behind or take, gear that worked well and stuff that didn't.
Best YT series'I have ever seen. Sad it is over. You guys are my heroes, I feel I am a better person just by watching this series. Peace be with all of you.
This is the best adventure series on UA-cam today. Thank you for taking us through your lives on water, storm and through daily struggle. This is amazing
I want to make a small note of thanks to all of you--Noah, Alex, Chris, and Dave. You made a remarkable journey, and not least was documenting it so consistently and thoughtfully, a considerable feat considering all the demands placed a remote canoe trip. You brought back to me a six week trip made through northern Manitoba in 2005, and all the good memories, tough portages, and good friends of that journey. I hope you are all safe in this present time, and that you are able to make many more wonderful journeys soon.
Way to go Graham! So few of us have had the taste of what it takes. I was born before the Dead Sea was sick. I missed out on the videos. Black & white photos are stimulation for me. Your trip(s) must have been awesome as well.
Fabulous, boys! Truly out of this world! You brought me back to the summer of 73 when I was part of the Goetze party that did a 30 day kayak trip north from Nain to Northwest Arm of Saglek Fiord, then hiked the Torngats for two weeks, making a first ascent, before flying back from the Mid-Canada Line base at Saglek. What a extraordinary treat to relive your epic voyage! One thing: your soundtrack was beautiful! Ours was the constant whining of bugs! Easily as miserable as their bites was the noise! How did you edit that out?
I couldn't hand pick a better crew for that adventure! I am grateful to have witnessed this and humbled by your openness and candor. If you were a sports team, I would be a diehard fan, if you were doctors, I would trust you with my life, If you were neighbors, I would help you hang drywall. Alas, you are adventurers and I will await your next compelling narrative. BZ boys!
When I look back on the Global Pandemic of 2020, I will think of this series and how it kept me smiling throughout the tough times. Amazing adventure guys! Thanks for sharing with the world!
What a great adventure. I lived in Menihek as a small child and its very hard to find modern pictures. It was good to get a glimpse. I looked forward every Thursday to the release of a new video. Well done and by far the best thing I have watched on UA-cam.
Absolutely brilliant trip, I truly enjoyed watching, and even tho I wasn’t there, had that beautifully bittersweet feeling with you at the end. Superb job and hats off to all you :)
The most special thing about your closing statements was the mention of how strong the team was and how well you all worked together through the good and bad times! Awesome journey guys and you hit this one out of the ballpark! Enjoyed all of it. Looking forward to the next one!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this adventure expedition. An amazing feat. Kudos to Noah, Alex, Chris and Dave! Thank you for showing the rest of us what scenic splendor Northern Canada has to offer. Well Done!
This was my favorite series from you guys yet. You're a great group of people. I wouldn't have wanted to leave either. Such an awesome experience that few of us will ever have. Thank you so much for all of your extra work of filming and editing and for sharing with us.
I don't think there has been a YT series I've liked more than this one. What a trip !! you guys are awesome, I can't believe how much stuff you had to deal with, and the damn bugs ! haha also I wasn't sure that canoe you folded on the rock would last the trip ! Aweosme series, thanks again so much for putting it all together. Cheers !!
Wow! What can I say...fantastic journey. Thanks so much for taking me along through these videos. Enjoyed every one. Big props on the respect for the plane crash victims. And also big props for the respect for nature which was evident in everyone’s words and actions. Well done boys. Cheers
Wow, yes very bittersweet! The four of you make a great team! Keep enjoying life and freedom of canoe travel. You all should plan another big trip together, really, do it! Don't let things like work and dumb bills control your life, you have a great team, keep it going! Thank you all and take care!
Absolutely the best. Like to think that many followers of your adventures were old duffers like me in their 80's who had the good fortune to wilderness trip when few were doing it. Thanks for bringing back the memories of past good times in the wilderness with my two best friends on long and isolated adventures enjoying every day. Henry Pasila
What a fantastic series! It was hard to wait for each episode and very sad to see it end. A Q&A would be great, what you didn't really need or wished you had. Awesome!
The best wilderness series I have ever followed... having lived in Labrador for 8 years made the series the more special as I could relate to the black flies and mosquitoes, as well as the sheer challenges and yet peacefulness of nature there.... well done guys!!
Thanks for sharing boys. That was absolutely epic. I couldn't agree with you more that when life gets tough you can look back at that trip and know you can conquer anything. If you can make it over 35 days with those flies anything is possible!!!!
Amazing series, compelling TV and a great team! Well done guys, you've inspired a lot of people out there. RIP to the guys who didn't make their trip. 💚
wow amazing.Thank u again.Only people who never lived or live just sad lives would put thumbs down on this.I feel sorry for u.Jump up and enjoy the rest of your life its only short.BIG THUMBS UP.
WOOOOO!!! amazing job you guys, thanks so much for sharing this journey with all of us. This has been so nice to watch and you guys really kept some inspiring mind sets throughout this expedition. I look forward to any new adventures that come your way, and I hope this team decides to take on another adventure in the future!
I normally trip alone, but now I feel like I have four new tripping partners. Thanks for letting me tag along on this epic journey. The last night, I could tell you were finally allowing yourselves to be proud of what you accomplished, and you should be!
Loved it guys! One of the best canoe trip series I have seen! Well done. I even felt emotion that you guys showed on the last morning. Thanks so much for making this trip to share.
Stupendous and inspirational ... just as soon as this lockdown is done ... I'll be on the water ... it wont be Labrador .. it probably wont have as many flies ... but it'll be wet. Thanks guys. Enjoyed your trip immensely.
I'm in absolute awe. Watched this start to finish. Makes my hardest trip look like a walk in the park. Thank you guys so much. I'm inspired to send it harder. Thank you, I truly mean it.
As all the comments say...BEST SERIES ON UA-cam! Just an epic trip that leaves us all wishing we could be there or do it ourselves. You all mentioned the team and it is evident in the series you all worked well together and share a bond. Good luck in the future and we hope there will always be more adventures!!
We've very much enjoyed watching every episode of your amazing trip. 'The filming and editing was amazing! The views and scenery were so beautiful to see. Your endurance and perseverance proves all of you can do anything. We swatted bugs with you from our recliners. :) We've known Chris since he was a cub scout. Sad to see series has ended. We look forward to your next adventure. Thank you Tim and Sue Moore
Wow..... how do you come to emotional terms when an adventure like this ends...?? Mixed emotions...one of achievement....second of emptiness knowing that it’s done....there will be no more camps. I congratulate all of you, for everything you achieved. You are a remarkable group of men who will remain friends forever ......and who I hope have countless more adventures together, that we might be privileged to join you on. Three cheers for you all.... 👏👏👏👏🙏👍❤️
Thank you so much for producing videos that truly brought all of us along with. I'm so bummed this is over. Your videos brought a bit of calm to my life and again thank you.
F*cking amazing, guys! Super well done filming, story and series! Thought a lot about what Dave said about being mentally prepared for the future's challenges and here we are in a pandemic. Thanks for all your hard work filming that expedition and sharing it with us!
Well, what do I do on Wednesday nights now? Having grown up in Labrador, I can honestly say that this series documented the Big Land perfectly. Great job guys! I can't wait to see the next big adventure!
Ever since I went on a trip to Labrador I always loved the barren mountains. This trip just makes me want to travel back to those areas again. Thanks for the virtual trip, it comes at a time where a lot of us are in their homes and it's truly amazing to follow your story. I discovered your channel with this series but now i'm in love.
I am so sad that this series is coming to an end. I had been anticipating this since you guys announced it and man did you not disappoint. It was exciting, emotional, happy, terrifying and so much more. Part of me felt like I was there living it through the amazing cinematography and it makes me miss the backcountry so much. Aching to get out there and live that physically and mentally challenging yet so rewarding lifestyle. There is nowhere I'd rather be. Thanks for taking us along!
Without a doubt the absolute best canoe trip video I have ever seen!!!! Been tripping for 40 years, but never a trip like this. Definitely needed with the virus situation going on. Unbelievably enjoyable is an understatement! Will watch it again and have been recommending it to friends. Would love to see a Q and A session with all four if possible. One question is how many candy bars did you start with!? Cannot believe you only have 14K subscribers. Keep on paddling!
Simply incredible to watch. Should be syndicated. 100%. Congratulations to your team for completing what seemed at times next to impossible. Now you’re done. Enjoy the lifelong memories 👍👍 (Chuck- Lab West)
What a journey!! Truly remarkable boys. Noah summed it up in saying, "it's the life of total freedom out here". Thank you for sharing this with us. May nature have mercy on us and continue to bless life on this planet for a long time
Incredible journey! The fact that you were able to perform during these extremely challenging days and still have the stamina to film it all AND have a sense of humour about it shows just how strong your character is. What an awesome team indeed! Congrats boys. 🛶 🧔🏼🧔🏻🧔🏼🧔🏻🛶
Thank you for allowing us to tag along on such an epic adventure...…………what an amazing journey, I cant even begin to imagine what it must have actually been like to experience. I have watched them over and over and over, I just wish that there was more. the way that it was edited and put together was GREAT !!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, again for letting me ride along with you !!!
Total privilege to have been a able to watch these episodes of you “magical Labrador trip”. One of the best sequences on You Tube. Epic is the word that comes to mind. Just epic. Congrats guys. ... You’ll have something to look back to for the rest of your lives.
Guys, that was AMAZING. The adventure, the filming, the music, the location! You guys not only did the adventure of a life time, but you did such a good job at sharing it with us, and I have to say thank you for doing that. The emotions you must have felt at the end......no words. Only problem is now you have to do it again so you can share something else with us. 🙂 Thank you all.
What a wild ride! The highs, the lows, the joy, and pure misery. You guys earned every single km of every day on that adventure. Enjoy it friends. I sure did.
Great work guys. I really enjoyed this journey of yours from my kitchen table here in Texas. I love your country and am envious of you guys. The Canadian in all of you really shown through, grit, ingenuity, determination, and inner strength. Can't wait for your next adventure.
Absolutely fantastic series. I even felt a little emotional that it came to an end. The cinematography was fantastic and it was amazing to be able to see sites that I'm sure few people have seen. Thanks for taking us all along the journey!
Epic, again. Very inspiring. It's really hard to fathom how vast and unspoiled our country truly is. I'm not sure I have any friends that could handle 35 days of that - me included!
Incredible - beautiful videography, grit, determination, humor, stamina - wow! Thanks for documenting your journey. Here is a question - when you paddle, what is the purpose of the twist at the end of the stroke? Can't wait to see what's next... Q&A - yes, please!
That little twist at the end of the stroke is to keep the canoe going in a somewhat straight line. It would act just like a rudder on a ship and help it steer it which ever way they want the canoe to go. Best way I can explain it. I hope that helps.
You hold the paddle for a second to use as a rudder to keep you straight. Otherwise, with each paddler you'll be going left and right with each stroke.
Remarkable journey, breathtaking imagery, and fantastic fishing. I also agree with those asking: what items ‘met or exceeded your expectations’ and which didn’t. Good to know what are clunkers and what gear makes the keepers list. Once again, epic adventure - thanks for bringing us with you.
What a fantastic adventure, boys!! I really enjoyed watching every episode. My age, back and knees no longer allow me to venture off like I used to. So watching you guys allowed me to live vicariously through your adventure. Thanks for taking me along.
What a great adventure you have given me - I'm 79 years old and my adventures are done - but I lived a wonderful adventure through you boys - well done!
holy smokes! I just binge-watched the whole series and am totally blown away. I have to agree too, it kept you watching for more...
Chocolate bar discussion/strategizing and the flag waving routines were amazing 😂
Really sad this is over. It was so, so outstanding. One of the best trip vids if not the best I've ever seen. The filming and editing on the documentary and this series were so captivating and each video was a different experience. I loved it all so much, thank you guys!

Epic, again. Very inspiring. It's really hard to fathom how vast and unspoiled our country truly is. I'm not sure I have any friends that could handle 35 days of that - me included!
Wow! Awesome, amazing...all of it! Thank You!!!
It’s known as a “J stroke” or “Canadian stroke”. Keeps the canoe going straight without having to switch paddling sides constantly.
Totally should be on Netflix, thank you for the great tour of our beautiful land and safe travels on your next voyage ! CHEERS !
What a fantastic adventure, boys!! I really enjoyed watching every episode. My age, back and knees no longer allow me to venture off like I used to. So watching you guys allowed me to live vicariously through your adventure. Thanks for taking me along.
