As a symphonic bassist of many not just years but decades, I have to ask: where are double basses? This air needs the mighty foundation that only eight Double Basses can offer to this otherwise superb orchestra. With respect, I state that cellos playing the bass line are not really sufficiently supportive? enough. I hope that Johann would nod his wise head

Perhaps one of the best executions of Bach pieces in contemporary orchestras. Absolutely zero vibrato as Bach would have preferred ...(and as written) !!! Very tired of hearing Bach with excessive vibrato. It's like putting sugar over ice cream...
