- This automatic wrapping machine works with any tape. Easy to use and super efficient. Especially if you're wrapping a lot :)
You need plywood, bicycle gears and chain, electric motor, tools and a free day.

Cheers to this bro for wrapping a whole bunch of tape around him for just a 2 sec shot. Hats off
Not to mention building a machine to do something you can do faster by hand. But I got a few ideas just from that, its the principles and the process that are most interesting, I don't really need help taping cords together:).
it would be much smarter to turn the thing you wanna warrp something around.. because if the tape hase a biger diameter than the tube thingy i spools faster out than on... why do you think he makes allways a cut? and you just see the end result?
Well, maybe he has a larger machine to wrap himself.
Lo veo y no lo creo
3:33 I always wrap Teflon in the opposite direction to prevent unraveling.
I just knew someone would mention this. haha
Cunningham's law.
they do it wrong to make people comment about the right way so they get more comments
Other than wrapping PTFE on the pipe threads in the wrong direction, there is absolutely nothing wrong or bad with this idea. I love it!
Next I'd like to see one where it acts like a human and passes the tape from one hand to the next, then crawls into tight spaces to wrap the loom.
Wondered if i was only one to see that, still cool tho
First thing I noticed 😂 cool idea…
Just feed the threaded object through from the other side.
@@johnherrmann6879 I think pretty much everyone saw it. 😂
Maybe just reverse the polarity of the motor, maybe use a synchron motor with a trick switch.
Multi applicational then. Maybe give it a paint job too 😂
This man absolutely does not get enough credit for how much effort he puts into every video! Amazing video !!
? He gets hundreds of thousands of dollars in ad money, how is that not enough credit?
I can already tell that this video will be something different
It's not on bicycles lol
@@Anas-1220 we need a full version where this is being put on a hubless bicycle
@@ArchiWorldRuS haha yes
I love the level of design engineering and fabrication you bring to your work, I bet you wake up every day loving what you do, just like Me… Keep it up 👍
This is the type of guy to actually understand redstone engineering
And that about wraps things up…
Near project! You NEVER disappoint with your no-limit ideas! Thanks!
Now it needs a jig to help stabilize whatever you're wrapping, and a linear advance to ensure a perfect wrap/length ratio. Great video!
After watching this I’m looking at my life in a whole new way. I look at all the things in my life that need wrapped.
Brings a whole new meaning to starting a wrap career.
A true wrap artist
A lovely video, a lovely machine, and no junk music - perfection!
I'll be nominating you for a webby in the "Best Action Close Up of a Bicycle Chainbreaker" category 😉
I appreciate the level of madness and ingenuity involved here. Great video.
I love quirky machines like these
Love your work bro ❤
That’s the first video of this sort that actually does something useful. Brilliant and well done. 👍
Finally, something that's actually useful!
Yes, it's really amazing idea!
As always, awesome craftsmanship and creativity and also great video editing. Keep it up!
Nice!, not only because of the use of bike parts (always a plus), but also the nice details that also make it pretty!
I've been seeing a few wrapping machines and one thing they all seem to be missing is an integrated way to control the wrapping speed in sync with the feed speed. Some spring loaded rollers with an encoder to control the wrap speed would be super slick!
Yes, I was also thinking it was wrapping to loosely on some of those items. I would prefer more tension on the tape holder to prevent it from feeding the tape easily. Especially when wrappings the wires, and the bike handle. Both were wrapped without enough tension in the tape to make a snug wrap.
Otherwise Nice idea!!!
precisely
Now, if only I had those wonderful wood working tools!
And skills! I can not seem to male anything wooden lol :-(
why make it easy... if it can be complicated 😎
That's a really helpful machine and the cable looks good and neat after being wrapped.
Thanks for that, mate. It's already on my to-do list! F.Y.I., not a criticism, when you use thread tape wind it on in the same direction as the thread. This stops the tape from un-winding during assembly. Cheers.
This is a genious idea. My new favorite!
Great gift for the man who has everything.
Wow, dude, that looks really fantastic.😃😃
they found one of these in ancient Egypt for mummy wrapping. Well done.
Don't do this for cables if you plan on reusing cables elsewhere. The clue from the tape will stay on the cable after you remove the tape and makes for sticky cables w dirt and hair on them.
Beautiful simplicity!
Fortunately I appear to never better motor skills than this guy and don’t need this gizmo…
That's actually really useful
This would work great for taping my hockey stick. Cheers from Canada.
Ahh yes.. finally.. something I can make at home and have use for..
Finally able to wrap my head around some new invention on youtube.. I can even make one myself now..
Awesome video, really well shot. That's a wrap!
Amazing video😍😍 and you are Right this machine wrap my life!!
Very nice 👍 bro 😘🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Someone from my country??? 🇧🇩
@@sadikabdallah7123 Here's another 🇧🇩
Very well built. With pretty much the same effort and time as it took to build it, I can wrap all these cables etc. manually. ;-)
Moment of silence for the man who wrapped himself in tape just for the 1-second clip
Sheer genius.
Great idea! Would be good for wrapping motorcycle pipes with fiberglass. Could add an adjustable clamp in the center to hold piece being wrapped.
I’ve never had a problem, wrapping tape around some thing with my hands! But pretty cool machine though👍🏼
First cool diy device I’ve seen
Nice idea!! I thought of doing this using a low RPM drill.. less space required, drills are common etc.
The blue tape, the box of random gears, the dremel, the randomness! Its like it was filmed in my garage ... Lol.
Yup, that machine wraps my life. :D
I love all the nods to My Mechanic
Great project my friend ❤
This person's skill with power tools makes me feel inadequate as a man.
That is actually ingenious
Brilliant, entertaining, and edifying.
Brilliant well made video solving a problem that no one has ever had - too much free time on your hands mate.
This was the longest 4 minutes of my life.
Really great job!☝️👏💪
Perfect idea, just a thing, your Teflon has to be wrapped the other way to work properly :)
Харьковчане лучшие инженеры)
thank you for posting. sorry to nitpick, but your teflon tape wrap appears to be backward, unless that was a reverse thread.
New from Ronco! The Wrap-O-Matic 9000!!
Always so entertaining and brilliantly edited! Extreme creativity in both the creation of these machines and the presentation of the process.
That's a great idea, well designed and executed. Thanks for sharing.
I clicked on this thinking "what is this stupid thing?"... this stupid thing is exactly what I wish I had so many times. Sometimes you just have to eat your words lol
tnx,..perfect for taping hockey sticks,...
Amazing work bro.💗👊
I'm really surprised you got the cut out in that large sprocket accurate enough to run that smoothly with just a Dremel and a hand file. You're getting top marks (and a like) for that........ The whole concept, design, and quality of construction would have got you top marks anyway, but achieving that level of smoothness to that sprockets motion is what shines as an outstanding achievement to me . :D
This is so ridiculous but hes pretty great at building stuff. Even tho this one was a bit silly. Love your talent dude
That is really cool, thank you for sharing.
Very nice invention! It seems like some kind of adjustable centering guide on either side might help hold the wire or tubing steady while being wrapped.
Once he built it he walked around the house for days finding stuff to wrap.
Anthony, diz a lenda que ele está andando até hoje!
Love all the negative comments! From prolly 30-55 yr old disgruntled divorced males great video man
Better than 70% of wrappers out right now...
Haha I see what you did there.😉😉😉
Brilliant idea ! - Well done !
a bit like a rope winding machine from the early 1800's except they had more than one bobbin, an the bobbins were also geared to rotate in opposition (basically stopped in relation to the viewer).
In a farm museum about 100k away farm here there is a simple machine you can put 3 used hay bale twines into, wind a handle and it plats them for you... A neat freebie from otherwise waste twine.
Could also be used for sports equipment: baseball bats, hockey sticks, tennis racquets, etc. Great ides!
Ladies and gentlemen....THE BRAIN ! (Applauses)
I saw "This Machine Will Trap Your Life"
Awesome! Great work!
Good idea 💡. Just for safety reasons you need to cover the chains paths with plastic or metal case
I like it, Clever thinking Mr Q. 5 stars.
Really really impressive 🤩👍
Answering the engineering question no one ever asked.
When he first finished it and saw what it was for I was like ehh very kool but won’t use it for much but after the demonstrations I was like oh dang this is very kool.
Док Дью уже замер в предвкушении, приготовив свой полуляхометр...
Machines that do this exact process are used in the wire harness fabrication industry and they cost thousands of dollars. Good job of make it something any handy person can make.

Had a moment now it is past. Nice work maker
Take love From Bangladesh 🇧🇩🥰
Excellent! Good idea and great video. Well done.
Clever idea!
And, it looks good, too!
That's really cool!
Thank you very much for your support! I am very grateful for that! Definitely a subscription to your channel. Peaceful sky to all!
If you put a reverse switch on it, you would be able to wrap the teflon tape in the RIGHT direction! 👍
Thats Pretty neat and Kool.
I Don't know why i am laughing 😂 at the end of the video.😄 😄
I like seeing ingenuity at work. Now you need to make a variable auto feeder as well for it. Than you can set the feed with the wrap and get perfect results... Thumbs Up
*GENIUS* that was so cool!
