- I was able to get my hands on the NEW (coming soon-ish) Rapala Jigging Rap Magnum and it started catching for us right away! This video breaks down what makes it different from the rest of the lineup, and my first impressions after finally getting to set the hook with it.

My battery setup:
I upgraded to Amped Outdoors lithium batteries this year and am LOVING them!!!

I went with Amped Outdoors' 36V 100Ah trolling motor lithium battery system (which is two 36V 50Ah LiFePO4 batteries in parallel). I was able to shave off roughly 140 pounds 😳 by running those 2 lithiums vs 3 lead batteries, and of course get some amazing run times:

Which also freed up an extra battery slot in my boat, so I was able to plug in this 100Ah beast (only weighs 24 lbs 8 oz) to exclusively run all of my electronics - fer dayzzzz 🔋 - instead of running them off of my cranking battery:

I am going to get some of those. In Lake Roosevelt we catch our walleyes anywhere from 80 to 140 feet usually. 3/4 ounce jigs won't even hit the bottom in the current.
I use a medium power fast action Okuma Cerros as my jigging rap rod. It's a performer at a really reasonable price.

Looks a little breeeezzzzzzy and bumpy;) I think you need another graph or "two";) at the council for mapping your looks a little congested running map,DI,Si,2d.... Early Bday or Christmas present is what I'd tell my wife;)

Just picked up a St Croix Legend Tournament 7ft MF 5/16 -7/8 . I have been pretty much a Shimano guy Sustains and Stradics . Reading up on the Abu Revo Rocket has my interest . After watching you fish with your set up i wonder if you are satisfied with the Abu Rocket ? With the 7.6 to 1 gear ratio makes me suspect of the durability ? No one else makes a spinner that fast . Also a Japan version is available all black . I own several Vanfords from Japan they have the shallow spool not available in the US . Couldn't find much info on the Japan Rocket but seems it comes with shallow spool and a different handle . For jigging rap series typically not making very long cast so no need for a deep spool . Appreciate your thoughts , Thanks Don
You should feel bad you have one and I don't lol. I did fish the Flat Jig 7 this past weekend hard though pretending it was a Magnum lol
What tactics do you use in fast current and lots of snags???
Typically heavy jigs (lightest I can get away with but keep down) paired up with ribbed plastics that move a lot of water.
Did you move you LS ducer to the trolling motor?
Do you see fish on down imaging that dont show on 2D?
Very often, especially when they are tight to bottom tho

Not cheap but it has worked GREAT and is super beefy! I had broken numerous other poles that had lots of plastic parts, so finally ponied-up for one that could withstand my abuse. I have it mounted on a Cisco Sport Trac Lund Mount (42°) so I can move it anywhere around the boat
Hyper rattle clone- with a swivel , Target Walleye Fan
I'm having issues with hyper rattles with tail coming off. But my old arm won't like pumping a 1oz+ weight.

Naw those are going to be garbage! Do not buy them! They won’t work. Better just send those you have to me so I can just throw them in with my flat jigs. Never speak of this again! Lol can’t wait!
So now the Rapala jigging shadow rap is no good anymore. On to the next one ??…. Lol. Because you have used them for the very same thing.
They are two VERY different baits, I actually talk specifically about that in the video.
